We were not informed ahead of time that the hot tub would not be functional during our stay. When I called the property management office they gave us a slight refund for the inconvenience, but we really missed having the hot tub during our visit. The biggest issue was that the front walk had not been shoveled and was about a foot of solid snow and ice. We had to balance on top of the snow to get to our front door from the parking area. If we had had elderly guests they would have been unable to enter the property with the condition of the walkway. The only reason that I am giving even one star is that the person that I talked to at the property management company (Hayden?) was incredible nice and respectful.

Awesome vacation

While the property is a little dated and needed some repairs it was well worth the money and the e had a great time. I loved the huge amount of books, games, dvds etc the owners provided and the kitchen was well equipped (except no salt and pepper)

Nice place and great location

Only issue we had was the internet was not stable at all. We had a non-skier and there is no cable tv, cell coverage is not strong so it was a bit of an issue. Couldn’t tell if it was the area or just the condo itself. Did some basic troubleshooting and tried to reach the owners about something else and didn’t hear anything, so didn’t bother trying to report it because we knew it wouldn’t get resolved by the time we left.

Ugh, I hate to leave a review like this as it's totally out of character. We traveled to WISP as a family of 4 with our 2 boys, our first visit there in more than a decade. Among the negatives – 1- Upon arrival, we found the walkway to be unshoveled, which wouldn’t have been a big deal if it was recent snow, but it wasn’t and since it was raining, it made the snow icy and slippery. 2 - One of the main reasons we booked the house was because night skiing was only available one of the three nights we were there so we thought having the hot tub would give us something fun to do while we weren’t skiing. When we checked to make sure it was heated upon arrival, we discovered it was almost empty except for a small amount of water and ice in the bottom. 3 – The management company was difficult and unresponsive. We had issues with check-in tied to my drivers license photo, despite being told days before it had been received and resending it via text (unsecure) and email when asked and had to go to the office upon arrival. When we called about the hot tub and stressed it was important to why we booked the property, we were told it would be a priority request and they would have someone out there the next morning, but not only did nobody come out in the 3 days we were there, we received no follow up from them, despite being told someone would follow up on Monday. Positives – The property was warm, well stocked with books and an incredible amount of DVDs and clean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: Very quiet, short driving distance to the water, fully stocked kitchen, clean, and great selection of books/games. Cons: no AC (wish I would have known this before I booked) so the front bedroom is almost unbearable with the sun beating in. Also, the outdoor eating area is not on the same level as the kitchen so that was a bit of a pain.

wonderful location

We had a wonderful time. The Townhouse was well kept, had everything we needed to make our trip comfortable. It was spacious and have a wonderful view. It was just a few minutes from all the places we wanted to go. Yes, the WiFi is iffy, but since we were there to really just enjoy time together, it wasn't a huge deal. We were able to bring our 2 pups with us, and they loved playing in the front yard! And don't get me started on the hot tub... lovely. Staff is friendly and engaging. Five stars all the way.

Great home! Check in was seamless and the hot tub was warm 😊

Stayed with my boyfriend, sister, and a friend for an event we were hired to cater. This home ended up being exactly five minutes away from the event location! Wish we got to spend more time in the house but the times we were able to relax, the hot tub was ready and waiting. Only issue was the lighting near the hot tub.. washer and dryer were clutch too! Oh and the room balconies, those were chill. Will book again!

Enjoyed our stay

Location was great. Space was more than enough for our small family of three + dog. Lots of books and games, as well as some toys for kids. Check-in, check-out process was super easy. Wifi access was a bit spotty, but other than that, was a wonderful stay.

We arrived at check in time and the man was filling the tub which means it took 12 hours to be ready. The place had been empty so no excuse to wait until the last minute. The beds were the worst. So uncomfortable. The toilets reminded me of preschool toilets. The TV in the master bedroom didn’t work. Pros: great location. Clean. Nice hot tub once it heated up.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location literally on Wisp! The property was very well maintained, had many items like games, books, spices etc. that were a nice extra touch for feeling at home. Most importantly, the host kept us extremely informed about anything we may need to know or bring for our stay leading up to our trip. The space was actually a bit bigger than pictured, so we were pleasantly surprised. We came during the winter, and the property was well maintained outside with places for us to park, a shovel and cat litter had we needed it for icy walk ways. There was even a parking lot for non 4WD vehicles, that wasn't initially cleared, but once we called to get it cleaned, was snow plowed out so cars could more easily park. Only downfall was there were hairs in some areas of the living space that appeared to be from animals, and after two nights started to irritate some of our guests' allergies.

Overpriced for what we got

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we were not pleased with this rental. While the house was spotless (well dusted, vacuumed, bathrooms were tidy), the whole place reeked of dog and mold. The ceiling had very obvious water damage. My husband would break in to allergy fits every time we walked in the door and it stayed with him all night. Also, the beds were absolutely miserable. They were extremely firm to the point you couldn't lay in any one position for too long without painful pressure points. There was no AC (which we went into knowing) and we expected we could open the windows for a nice cross breeze but the windows would not open. There were notes on them saying they "would be fixed". So we just set up all 7 box fans and did the best we could. The main floor living area was also a little small. It only had one love seat-sized couch to sit on, and two smaller chairs. Or the dining table. Although nobody wanted to sit on the couch because that, too, smelled horrible. Lastly it said the key to the hot tub would be in the unit-book in the town house, it was not there and we had to call and have someone bring down a key. Although we didnt get in beause it was just too hot outside, it looked to be in good condition. We were happy with the location as it was close to a ton of amenities for the lake and close to the ski mountain. The scenery was nice and wooded, although no immediate access to the lake without a decent walk. Overall we were disappointed with the value of the house.

Great Weekend Away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I and 6 friends enjoyed our stay for Memorial Day Weekend. The house was cleanly and well-stocked. We enjoyed some nearby bars, restaurants, hikes and the community lake access. The only downfall was that we were unable to get the AC to work. This wasn't a huge issue as the temperatures were a little cooler, but it did get warm at times, made worse by the fact that some of the windows do not open. To be fair, we did not contact the management at the time of our stay in regards to this issue, so it may have been user error.

Rental but NO AIR CONDITION...

Reviewer Comments: I was very disappointed that this unit did not have a/c with the temps to be around in the 100 degree with heat index. Agency told me unit would cool down then close it up for the day would help. It didn't…..our evening was 85 degrees @ 10pm. Couldn't sleep to hot. The unit had the icon for a/c but agency said each unit varies..then told me none of the Village of the Wisp have a/c. Why have the ac icon advertised. Agency offered NOTHING to make our stay any better. The dead bird on the balcony next store also gave a nice smell when you did open the window to get any air.

The condo was a bit dated and the upholstered furniture and carpeting was tired, but it was immaculate (no doubt due to a very devoted cleaning crew). I am very picky about cleanliness and I was impressed. Everything worked just as it should have. The owners have a very nice collection of books and movies. Overall, it was just what you need for a weekend at DCL!
