Our son and his family had a great time (as did we). They enjoyed the private beach and sauna. The ping pong table was a big hit with our granddaughter.

This place is a little slice of heaven! It is very clean and well taken care of. The kitchen had everything we needed including both a coffee pot and a Keurig (big coffee drinkers). The beds where very comfortable. We enjoyed the sounds of the waves each night and the beach was just breath-taking! Very comfortable couches where we watched movies each night. Great internet reception so we were completely cut off from the world. Towels, shampoo & conditioner, extra blankets, etc. I could go on for quite a while explaining how wonderful this place is.

A slice of heaven

This was our 2nd time staying here and we just love it! Adam was great with communication before and after our stay. The home is just lovely and it was so incredibly clean throughout. The beach was our favorite part. We were able to swim and play games on the beach. At night we toasted s’mores and hot dogs. We would spend the later evenings playing cards and games at the table. The beds are comfortable and there are so many items stocked to help make our stay enjoyable. We will be back next July!!

Great spot!

We loved this cabin! The location was great, being very close to split rock lighthouse and other great hiking spots. The property itself was fun to explore and the black sand beach was a unique treat. Our kids had as much fun at the cabin as they did on our excursions nearby. Highly recommend!

Our group really enjoyed coming here. The beds were all comfy and there was enough activities for everyone (sauna, hiking, puzzles). Will definitely try and make it up again

Ages ranged from 65 to 98. Hiked, cooked, read, rested, laughed, stared out the windows. Didn’t want t to leave.

Great Place to Stay for Thanksgiving Week

We had a wonderful stay during Thanksgiving week at Black Beach! The house was great - every bit as nice as the pictures - and the beds were very comfortable. Our host, Adam, was an excellent communicator, even going so far as providing pictures of what kitchen tools we could expect to find there. That was so very helpful since we were planning a big Thanksgiving meal. Our granddaughter enjoyed the black sandy beach, which is quite different from the other properties we've stayed at on Lake Superior. There was always a large selection of birds flitting about that were fun to watch - Eagles, Chickadees, Grouse, a Pileated Woodpecker, Mergansers and more! A beautiful property!

Completely Amazing Property!

We stayed at BlackBeach Cove with our adult kids and under 4 yrs old grandkids the last weekend in October. What a perfectly maintained, equipped and furnished wooded home situated on a private black sand beach right on the Gitchi Gami State Bike Trail (bring your bikes!), with a sauna! Minutes away from Split Rock and Gooseberry State Parks for hiking, as well as Two Harbors for groceries and restaurants. Our grandsons enjoyed throwing rocks in the magical lake from multiple destinations. The only downside for us - we need more than 3 bedrooms as our family grows! Adam is a fantastic host. You will not be disappointed with this home!

Amazing Family Getaway at BlackBeach

We recently stayed at this wonderful Lake Superior beach house and had an unforgettable experience. The house itself was spotless and well-maintained, which made our stay comfortable and stress-free. It had everything we needed for a family of 5. Our kids absolutely loved spending time at the beach, which was closer then expected. They spent hours playing in the black sand and collecting rocks. In the evenings, we gathered around for beach fires and roasting marshmallows. Another great feature of this house is its proximity to hiking trails. We enjoyed several scenic hikes (Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse, Tettegouche), taking in the natural beauty of the area. Overall, this beach house provided the perfect setting for our family vacation. We can't wait to come back!

A Piece of Heaven

Blackbeach was amazing! Super clean, comfy beds, stocked kitchen (even an Keurig!!!) and bathrooms! Communication with the owner was top-notch! We encountered a broken beach chair and he had 4 new ones dropped off the next morning! Our only wish was that the side room was a true screen porch. We LOVED the private beach and sauna!!

Stunning property and beach!

We were in heaven when we arrived and saw the house and the private black beach. The decor and cleanliness was outstanding. We were worried about the fact there was no air conditioning (it was a warm, humid few days) and the fans keep the house very cool. The beach was where we spent the most time looking for rocks, taking dips in the water, and enjoying the bonfire. Hearing the waves at night was so relaxing. We enjoyed playing games at the table in the evening too. This place is a gem and we are planning to return in future visits!!

Wonderful Experience

This vacation VRBO was excellent. We had our own little piece of paradise along Lake Superior. My son loved the access to the shoreline, he spent hours throwing rocks and digging canals. Close to all the attractions. Extremely clean and had everything we needed. We will be back for sure! Adam was very responsive to any questions we had.

Great Anniversary Getaway

Magical

This place was by far the best place we ever had up North. Secluded but not isolated, you feel like at the tip end end of the Northshore! Close to Gooseberry and the lighthouse, few miles away from our favorite pie place, stunning view, awesome beach, fire on the beach, beautiful wooden house, fully equipped. And last but not the least: flawless communication with the manager. Our visiting family was so amazed, and we are greatful to have found this gem. Hope to go back again😀

This home is a family cabin for us, 3 generations enjoy this property and there is something for everyone! Some of our favorites are searching for sea glass on the beach, hiking at Tettegouche and Split Rock, Heading to Lutsen for alpine slide and skiing in the winter. The Gitchi-Gami bike trail goes right by the house and is a favorite for the kids biking to the lighthouse or Beaver Bay for ice cream!
