Frente al lago, escapada romántica de luna de miel, con muelle privado

Bienvenido a "Thee Hidden Pearl" en Barren River Lake, Kentucky. Tiene una suite muy privada de 400 pies cuadrados, con fantásticas vistas al lago. Ubicado a solo seis millas de la rampa para botes de Beaver Creek con área de campamento, muelle y playa; además de ser conveniente para Barren River State Park y estaciones de servicio. Asegúrese de traer su cámara para ver a las águilas calvas volar alrededor del lago.
Este lago es administrado por la Corporación de Ingenieros del Ejército. El nivel del agua está regulado para estar en los niveles de verano desde mayo hasta mediados de octubre.

Desde mediados de octubre hasta la primera parte de mayo, el lago está en su nivel de invierno y la mayoría de los muelles privados no se pueden usar. Durante este tiempo, el lago no se puede ver desde esta propiedad.

El lecho del lago sigue siendo un lugar divertido para caminar y hay un pequeño arroyo que fluye durante todo el año. La suite cuenta con 1 habitación con cama Queen, sala de estar grande con sofá seccional y sillón reclinable. Baño con jacuzzi y ducha separada. Pequeña cocina con microondas, nevera pequeña y cafetera Keurig. Gran terraza privada con parrilla. Gran televisor de pantalla plana. Direct-TV y una biblioteca de DVD.

Hay un mínimo de dos noches de estadía. Si reserva siete noches, obtendrá la séptima noche gratis. Edad mínima de alquiler de 25 años. Sin mascotas; No Fumar; No se permiten sustancias ilegales. El check in es a las 2:00 pm y el check out es a las 11:00 del mediodía.

Perfect Getaway!

Location is very private with lots of amenities. The owner went out of her way to make our stay a memorable one. The area has lots of things to do or you can spend you time relaxing on the property. Perfect for great romantic getaway!

Summer Getaway

Property is beautiful! Quiet, peaceful and private access to the lake. House was clean and looked as advertised. Jan was very nice and always available. Would definitely recommend this property.

Fantastic honeymoon getaway!

Located out in the country, away from the bustle and traffic. Yet about 20 to 30 minutes from so many things! The property is filled with trees and overlooking a very quiet end of a beautiful lake. The apartment was so comfortable and had everything wcouldwanneed. Jan the host is

PERFECT QUAINT RELAXING GET AWAY

We will definitely go back to this beautiful place. Jan the owner was so accommodating and extremely friendly!! The get away was ALOT more than we expected. The view was amazing and so peaceful!!!! Jan had a paddle boat that we could use and we did. We loved every minute we were there!!!! Thank you for such a lovely experience!!!!

Nice Getaway

The place was very beautiful and inviting despite there had been a bad storm the week before and fallen trees were blocking the view of the lake. The dock to the lake was covered by water and you couldn't use it to fish from but all in all my husband and I enjoyed being there. Mrs. Jan was a real sweet lady and invited us to come back when the water was down and we could fish.

Peace and Traquility Abound

Jan, the property owner, met us. She is and was the perfect hostess. The surrounding property, the lake, and the beautiful attention to detail in landscaping showed the affection owners placed on their land and the environment for years. The lake was mesmerizing. We enjoyed watching the cranes fly in. The interior was immaculate and beautifully decorated. It is a special place for a relaxing, peaceful getaway.

Peaceful and Easy Vacation Spot

We stayed just 2 nights as a birthday celebration. Just a few short miles out of town but it felt like we were truly deep in nature. Accommodations were great Jan thought of all the little details. We took the paddle boat for an afternoon of leisure on the lake, great add on. Did some star gazing from the front porch in the gravity chairs and drove into Glasgow for provisions. Only thing to remember is that Barron County is moist so if you want to have a glass of wine while relaxing around the fire pit or sitting on the dock you better stop on your way.

Wish I could have stayed longer!

I had a business trip in the area and needed a place to stay that was comfortable, reasonably priced and preferably with a view of the water. I certainly was not disappointed! The apartment and surrounding property are beautiful! Ms. Jan, the owner, takes exceptional care of her place and puts a lot of TLC into everything, not to mention she's an amazing and lovely person! I felt like family instead of a guest. The view of the cove is stunning and provides a sense of peace since it's away from the hustle and bustle of the main lake, but easily accessible to it. The paddleboat was a lot of fun but next time I'd like to rent a boat with a motor to venture out farther on the lake. The jetted tub provided a wonderful way to wind down at the end of the day, although the shower is nice as well, with an added hand-held water head with varying speeds. The bed was very comfy as was the sectional couch for watching the large flat-screen TV. I also enjoyed sitting on the patio, listening to the sounds of nature, and staring up at the stars at night. Sitting there I had a fantastic view of Jupiter and Venus setting! I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to return. Thank you, Jan, my new friend!

Very peaceful recommend you visit this place

The land was beautiful, the house was very cozy and the owner made you fill like family you'll never meet anyone like sweet Jan. I'll definitely never forget her hospitality! I recommend this place the view was spectacular the birds singing while laying in the hamack,fishing and the paddle boat was fun! We have found our ideal getaway!! We will he back!

Best lake house getaway!

I could write a book over why everyone should stay at this beautiful lake house! The private location of the house, perfect flat lake front with dock, and all the amenities you could ask for to go with the perfect lake stay. The host, Jan, is absolutely a sweetie! The best host I’ve ever met and I want to go back just to visit Jan! But you can kayak, paddle boat, fish or fix a s’mores on the fire pit with the s’mores kit provided by Jan. Beautiful, peaceful and perfect! We will be back, and with the whole family next time!

A True Southern Escape ~

This vacation spot was exactly what my girlfriend and I needed. A disconnect from everything happening in this world today. This hideaway is tucked away in the green hills outside of Glasgow, which is a very sweet little town that has everything you need and even to get by, plus a little extra. Driving down a winding backroad, you’ll find this hideout alongside its incredibly familiar hostess, Jan. Jan makes you feel so at home, like one of her family. She mostly stays in her house, but it was a treat for us every time she decided to join us for conversation. I have never wanted a host to spend so much time with me on my vacation!!! She truly has a heart of gold, and an AMAZING eye for southern interior design. We kayaked using her lime green kayaks, and the Green River is quite a beautiful site especially at sunrise/sunset. Just watch for the bats when the sun starts going down! This is a place to come if you truly appreciate simple pleasures. Long drives down country roads, grilling over an open fire, swinging in the hammocks, kayaking and swimming, fishing, etc. Theres also plenty of places in downtown to go grab a bite to eat if you so need. To finish this 5 star review off, I just want to thank Jan (although she probably wont see this) for the opportunity to return to a traditional way of life, which reminded us the importance of nature and having a simple life. Hoping this review will help more people make the decision to stay here at least once for vacation!!!

A birthday getaway!

My husband is from the land of a 1,000 lakes and misses the water. I surprised him for his birthday at this lovely retreat. The owner was, as I call her "River Queen", so gracious and provided the best southern hospitality one could ask. The peaceful atmosphere was so calming. We would definitely recommend this rental.

LOVED

We had the best stay. It was exactly what we had planned, which was a quiet weekend in. The only reason I give accuracy 4 stars is because there was no WiFi as listed when I booked. We had planned to watch some movies on a Roku which needs WiFi however our stay was still overall excellent & we in the end enjoyed that we didn’t have WiFi because we felt like it gave us that much more quality time. Our host was so sweet & truly made us feel welcome for the short time we talked with her.

Anniversary trip

Everything was great about our stay here. The weather was beautiful, the scenery, the people... and especially our hostess. We got to wander around and visit some Amish shops and historical sites, relax in the private suite, and just enjoy the quiet together. Highly recommend!!!

Lovely Lakeside Delight!

The cabin was very clean and superbly decorated. The natural surroundings of only trees, bird chatter and the soothing sounds of the lake were all delightful- a perfect getaway amidst nature. To top it off, the owner, Jan is very cheerful, welcoming and even had her son use his Jeep to tow our sailboat down to the lake- thank you to all! We had a lovely anniversary weekend with lots of privacy and all the amenities including a large, relaxing jacuzzi!

Heaven on earth

The land was beautiful, the house was so cozy, and the owner made you feel like family. She does live on the property but other then to check us in we didn’t see or hear from her again until the second day when we came back from being out out on a pontoon all day, she was checking someone into the back rental and just asked how we were, she noticed I was very red from being in the sun too long, we we came out after showering to go to dinner she had left a container of vinegar for my burn and some cherry tomatoes from her garden on the front porch.we had a wonderful time! We will be returning, do yourself a favor and check this place out, you won’t be disappointed. You are right on the lake, with paddle boats, and kayaks plus a great place to fish and swim.

Beautiful setting

The property was perfect for a relaxing in a hammock, on a swing or in a chair. It is perfect to have the water for the view and for fishing. Jan was so kind and has a huge heart. We plan to go back, hopefully next year.

My father bought the farm for investment in 1973. He knew my husband and I wanted to live on the lake. He allowed me to pick the best spot, which is five acres, surrounded by government land and the lake on three sides. I designed and built the house.

I wanted to share and decided to make it possible for others to come, too. Therefore this is partly why I am renting. I will make you feel at home and like family. This I have done to a many in the past. So many people have said they feel such peace as soon as they enter the open gate entrance to my property. It's been said it truly is a hidden pearl.
