Excellent stay!

The house was exactly as expected and fit our needs perfectly. It was clean, the bedrooms were all well appointed, parking was easy, and the location was perfect for us. The host checked in a few times to be sure things were fine, which they were, but otherwise left us to enjoy our stay. It was a great experience!

Family Vacation

Very relaxing. House is very spacious and comfortable. Great area for kids, they enjoyed the fishing and swimming at the beach. Local restaurants were decent, grocery store and farmers market 10 minutes away. Take time to visit the lighthouse and Chimney Bluffs. Front porch was the nightly gathering spot. Very quiet neighborhood

7th year Blast

Excellent time. Close to everything fun. Even with a few days of rain, there was plenty of space. ( games, movie night). We did get to enjoy the town, the beach the playground the ball field. Can’t say enough about this past week and we can’t thank Larry enough 🤗

Lots of space great location

The house was more than big enough for the 8 of us who stayed. Beautiful view of the water from the porch and not far from a great beach. Kids loved to play kick ball in the front yard and the one time it rained they had plenty if games we played of the from porch and watched the storm. Great fishing charters near by. Had a few small concerns but once address with the owner they made things right. Our whole family enjoyed our time.

Lakehouse

Tradition continues. Thanks to Larry and his family we were able to spend another fun filled family vacation. The house is always welcoming.The Lakehouse is perfect for us. Everything is close… the beach, playgrounds, restaurants! The best is the porch life- views are spectacular (Rain or Shine) Sunrises are amazing!! Ready for next year🤗

Great Week at the Lake

The front porch of the house is great. It is relaxing and private with a view of the lake in the distance. We had our three small grandchildren with us. The Sodus Point beach was great for them (they even have a lending library of sand toys!). We visited Chimney’s Bluff one day and hiked the picturesque trails. On a rainy day we drove to Oswego and went to the Children’s Museum there which is excellent. We got ice cream at Burnap’s Farm and the kids loved playing in their play area and visited Cracker Box Palace and fed the farm animals. All in all it was a great week with plenty to do with little kids.

Family Vacation

We loved the house and the location! The house is huge - we had 14 people (adults and kids) and 2 dogs and had plenty of space. Restaurants, store, coffee, playground, beach, and fishing all within walking distance (we loved Flatout Sport Fishing Charter). We brought bikes and kids were able to ride around the neighborhood (also bikes available to rent at Sodus Bay outfitters). Firepit out back - we did s’mores one evening. Used the kitchen a lot and cooked out on the grill a couple times. Loved walking over to the lighthouse park across the street - had sunset yoga there on Mondays and had a geocache hidden there which was fun to find! Overall we loved Sodus Point and this house was great!

Perfect location for visiting family

This was our second time back to Larry’s home. You can’t beat the location as it’s close to our family and walking distance to the beach, main restaurant area and marinas. Lots of games and space for our family to spread out and connect. Larry is very responsive and helpful.

Great views

The location of the property was very convenient and the view of the lake was great. There was air conditioning upstairs but not downstairs but had fans. I don't do well in the heat but I stayed at a cottage next door which had air. The location of the laundry in basement creeped everyone out, so we all used the laundry at my other rental. All in all we have a wonderful vacation and made lots of memories.

Enjoyable

We had a great time especially sitting on the front porch! Everything in the house was in great working order. The walk to the beach and the pier added to the experience. There was some difficulty figuring out how to open the lock but the owners were right there to help us out!! We already looked into renting for next year but not sure that we need a whole week. Thanks!!!

Spacious house at a great location

This house will work well for those that like to get away from crowds and also be in a location where a car is optional to take advantage of the activities in the area. Sodus Point is a quiet, uncrowded, unspoiled location. The large front porch offers great views of Lake Ontario. This house is a short walk to the village, restaurants, beach and marinas. We took advantage of the location and spent time at the beach and also rented a pontoon boat for a half day. As a pet-friendly property, the furniture is what would be sensible for an owner - not pristine but perfectly OK and usable. We would stay here again.

Family vaca

Plenty of room for my family of 14. Beautiful view of Lake Ontario from the front porch. Us adults spent most of our time here. House and furnishings could use some updating, but we would definitely stay here again. Within walking distance to the beach, ice cream shops and restaurants.

Great house in Sodus Point!

Excellent communication with owner! Lots of space to spread out on the first floor; the house has lots of TV’s and fast internet. We’ll definitely be back for another stay!

Beautiful spot, wonderful owners

This was a wonderful VRBO, I would stay here again in a second. The owners were quick and thoughtful in their responses to our questions. The house is right across the street from a rocky beach access point, and a short walk to ice cream shops. In terms of accessibility, my 78 year old mother could traverse the one staircase in the house easily, as well as the short staircase to the side entrance. The kitchen was well appointed, and we made many delicious meals there. The view of Lake Ontario from the front porch was incredible.
