¡Esta cabaña de montaña es el lugar perfecto para su gran experiencia al aire libre, para una escapada romántica o para un merecido descanso! Encontrará que esta casa tiene todo lo que necesitará: una cocina totalmente equipada, dos comedores, una chimenea, un porche con mosquitero, una gran terraza exterior con chimenea, todo ubicado en aprox. un acre en un callejón sin salida aislado.

Cuando esté disfrutando de su tiempo en una de las grandes cubiertas (hay 3 en total y el porche protegido) estará escuchando la cascada ubicada en la parte inferior de la propiedad. Es un descenso empinado para ver la cascada, pero vale la pena la experiencia.

El área de estacionamiento está justo afuera de la puerta principal.

Los huéspedes pueden disfrutar de la pesca ubicada a una cuadra en el lago Hogback. Para los huéspedes que desean una estadía activa, nuestro hotel Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Sapphire Valley * ofrece: golf, tenis, golf putt-putt de montaña, dos piscinas climatizadas, piscina al aire libre, jacuzzis, sauna, sala de juegos, gimnasio, pista para correr, área de esquí / tubing (meses de invierno), y tenemos una canoa para su placer en el pintoresco lago Fairfield. Los alquileres de pontones están cerca del hermoso lago Glenville.

La mayoría de los invitados de verano / otoño están de acuerdo en que la "Mejor habitación de la casa" es en realidad la vista en el porche trasero. ¡El cómodo sofá y las sillas lo invitan a sentarse y disfrutar de una hermosa vista de la montaña Hogback!

Adorable cabin. The cabin was very clean. Host was a pleasure to work with. Little touches, like the light switch covers with a mountain theme and all the dishes with an autumn theme. My grandson counted all the pigs (hogs – for hog court). The beds were comfy. We cooked dinner at the cabin the 3 nights we were there. We spent time at the recreation center every evening/afternoon in the hot tub and pool. Note: you must arrive at the community center to get your passes before 5PM. We arrived after dinner and after a lot of running around we were finally able to use the facilities the first night. Another note: children under 14 are not allowed in the hot tub. We arrived at the cabin on a Saturday and enjoyed the screened in porch. The view and the feel of the backyard was amazing. The cabin is a perfect location for waterfall viewing. On Sunday, we visited Rainbow Falls, White Water falls and Silver Run falls. On Monday, the weather changed abruptly. We drove to more waterfalls: Cullasaja, Quarry, Bridal Veil and Dry. Lunch that day was highlands Smoke House. Awesome good BBQ. It was time to go home. We drove to Toxaway falls and looking glass falls on the way home and drove through Pisgah Forest via 276/151, beautiful drive. It was a winter wonderland. Overall, fantastic trip and we highly recommend the cabin for your mountain trip.

Check in was no problem. House has a very stocked kitchen, pots and pans, spices. Anything needed was there. Lovely flower garden, with 4 separate places to go to and enjoy the outdoors. Very private location in the mountains. We hope to return.

Perfect Miuntain Spot!

This was a great stay for our family! We were here dropping our daughter at camp. Our dog loved the location as well! Owners are wonderful and quickly respond. We highly recommend this house for a peaceful and convenient stay.

Perfect Mountain Stay

This cabin is located in a wooded community but far enough from neighbors for full privacy. It is extremely cozy and comfortable and is stocked with anything you could need during your stay. We especially enjoyed the screened porch with beautiful views. The host was very communicative and responsive to my many questions. The location is convenient to hiking, waterfalls and other outdoor pursuits as well as dining and shopping. We highly recommend this cabin and look forward to staying there in the future. Thank you for opening up your home to us!

Wonderful

While we only visited for two nights… It was a lovely stay. The house had exactly all the amenities as described and more cozy and quaint in person. We would love to visit again. Maybe this time in the summer to take advantage of the lake activities . The hiking was very close and made for a wonderful day for my family. And it’s hard to please teenagers these days. Happy holidays!

My family spent 4 nights at this cabin. It is located in a gorgeous, wooded community. The cabin is beautiful, comfortable, and is stocked with everything you could possibly need. We loved the deck spacing, furniture, wood burning stove, property grounds, and the privacy. The host communicated with many recommendations and there were information binders to answer any questions. We loved it! Highly Recommended. Thank you to the property owners for making the cabin available.

Hogback Heaven Cabin

My husband and I along with our 10 year old Sheltie stayed at this cabin Thursday November 14 to Monday November 18. What a wonderful cabin and perfect location. The cabin is well stocked and has everything one would need. The cabin is comfy and very cozy. We enjoyed sitting in the screened porch every afternoon and had a fire in fireplace every evening. The master bedroom bed is very comfortable. We loved our stay and will return.

The house was absolutely wonderful. Everything needed was at the house. Loved the screened porch. House is spotless. Only negative was lack of a/c unit in downstairs bedroom. There was an a/c unit in living room but downstairs bedroom door had to be left open to have air access and it barely cooled bedroom off.

Sapphire escape

This was a great place to escape the heat and humidity of FL! We enjoyed our time and the house had a ton of charm and comfort. The frig and kitchen appliances were all clean and in great shape. The washer and dryer worked very efficiently! The screened in porch was relaxing. We look forward to returning again in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Best Mountain Weekend Stay

We loved our weekend stay when we dropped our girls off at camp. It was so peaceful, clean, and beautiful! Our favorite spot to sit and relax was the screened in porch. Our dog was welcome and loved relaxing at the house and taking walks around the neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again!

Excellent vacation rental

This cabin was lovely with great furnishings and comfortable beds. The decor both indoors and outside are adorable. The home has an extensive amount of supplies and amenities to utilize during the stay. The views are beautiful here and surrounding area is peacefully calm. The location is ideal with numerous activities to enjoy close by. The pool, gym, dog park and golf course were all great perks that we enjoyed for a small daily pass fee. The owner is very good with communication and our experience was excellent from start to finish. Within a few minutes of the rental is a darling Cashiers mountain community, which is a perfect getaway location to enjoy the cooler weather, nice shopping and wonderful restaurants. This rental is a gem for sure and we hope to return again.

Perfect mountain getaway

We’ve stayed at many different Vrbo properties over the years and this is one has to be one of our all time favorites. We loved the location and took advantage of the resort amenities access. This house, as other reviews have commented, is just so homey and comfortable, and has just about everything one would need, including lots of condiments in the kitchen and Keurig pods. We would love to stay here again for sure, when we come back to the area. We found the beds to be very comfy as well which is always something I look for in reviews, so wanted to give that a mention.

Your owners are Glenn and Gwenn Thomas and our permanent residence is Florida. When we retired several years ago we decided that we had to buy a house in NC so we could have a place to share with our family and others. We both have spent many summers in this area over the years.

When Gwenn's parents retired, they spent 26 summers in the area and each summer they kept their grandchildren for a month. You can only imagine the memories that were created! We too, want to help create memories for your family in this magical area of the world.

We have spent time at the house during each month of the year and we still can't determine which month is the best one to visit. Each month brings its own uniqueness. The winter time has the snow and all of the outdoor activities associated with it and the summer has the swimming pools and lake activities. Every single month allows for exploring the area; whether it is hiking, sight-seeing, bird watching, shopping, dining in the great restaurants or just enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
