Very tranquil and peaceful place

Very clean and tidy, so quiet and peaceful lovely home to stay at… Horses waterlilies on the dam and kangaroos visited us too. Our Host was very friendly and hospitable which is always a bonus. Would definitely recommend

Tranquil & peaceful area

It was wonderful pulling up to the property and seeing approximately 15 wallabies in the paddock surrounding the property. Beautiful and quiet location surrounded by wildlife and bushland but not too far away from the beach. It was a lovely 2 day stay.

Walkabout Cottage

We loved our time here, so comfortable with everything we needed. The wood burning fire just made our stay so special. The area is so beautiful with lots of places to visit, Port Macquarie, Bellingen, Nambucca, Scotts Head, & Grassy Head. We will definitely come back to this beautiful place.

Pretty spot

Thank you for a lovely holiday. We were happy to get away from technology for a while and relax on this pretty farm not far from Scott’s Head.

'Walkabout' A tranquil setting amongst nature in lovely accommodation

This lovely accommodation is spacious airy, comfortable, spotlessly clean and well appointed, it was a delight to stay in this tranquil private setting. We enjoyed the walkabout around the property and watching the birdlife from the two balconies overlooking the lily pond - with the backdrop of the tall gum trees beyond, the setting reminded me of an Australian version of Monet's waterlilies!

Paradise

Great escape from the busy world. Very clean with all that you need and more. Beautiful location in nature with abundance of wildlife. Peaceful and serene. Great place to recharge with beaches and small towns not too far away. Definitely a place we would go back too.

Beautiful House in nature

We loved our stay here. Clean and tidy house. Very comfortable and spacious. Very well equipped. Surrounded by nature. Close to the beach and any issues we had were taken care of quickly and efficiently. We would definitely come back! Thank you Carolyn for hosting us

Serenity By The Pond

Fantastic place with an abundance of wildlife to keep you company. Keep an eye out for the turtles in the pond which are very rare. The house is perfectly equipped for all your needs. 😀

The Pond

The house was quite comfortable, with every window opened to the greenery all around. The pond was great to observe the ducks, the different birds. The kangaroos were a treat. It was fun to guess the different calls, even got a photo of the Azure kingfisher in all its beauty. Watching the horses grazing made a picture of peacefulness. In a way, it was okay to be off grid, but its a place we would love to return to again.

Lovely place

Clean, light, airy. Wonderful outlook on forest and frogs and bird song. Quiet and peaceful and an easy drive to beach. We were also treated to a spectacular hail storm! Caroline was a wonderful and responsive host who came to our aid when needed. Just suggest working out the DVD playing

Beautiful aspect but needs attention to important details

The two outdoor setting were really good. It was great to be able to look at the National Park out of the rain. The double bed was comfortable. The overall design of the cottage was great. It was clean and well supplied with crockery and cutlery. The bathroom was well designed, good washing machine and dryer. Suggestions: We have asked around and the following is considered to be part of the normal letting criterion and what we have experienced in the past. 1. The owners let the guests know 10 - 14 days in advance information regarding how to find the property and how to obtain the keys so that the guests do not have to contact Stayz on the Friday prior to the Monday of arrival. 2. Most guests have travelled and a "Welcome Pack" of disposables ( tea bag , coffee sachets small milk) gives a welcoming atmosphere. 3.Bearing in mind the current Covid climate soap should be provided. There was no information to say that soap was not provided. 4. There were no up to date hardcopies of the maps of the local area... bearing in mind that there was no internet this was a handicap. 5. We found a flyer in the house which gave details of a contact phone number, which was not answered until after we had booked out. 6. The dining room table which had suffered water damage in the past had not been made good leaving an un hygienic surface. 7.The DVD player was not functioning properly. It swallowed our DVD disc which we would like to be returned to us if possible. 8. For the rent that we were paying a second hand towel would be a good idea.

Lovely place in grassy

Great little place away from wifi and phone reception. Peaceful, great stars. Took a few wrong turns to find- go right at the start of the hill! If we’d followed the signs would have been fine. Great to have a wood fire and close to beach (but you’d need a car or bike to get there, if you have kids)

Restful and secluded

This property was so beautiful. It was so quiet and peaceful, and suited us perfectly. We wanted something different from the noisy atmosphere of the nearby resorts and this place certainly didn’t disappoint. The only drawback is that phone service is unavailable, but this gave us an even more peaceful holiday.

Relaxing hideaway

Relaxing by the fire, listening to the native birds chirping and looking out at the white gums of the national park which borders the property. We had a lovely time, thank you.

Absolutely loved this property!

It was the perfect place to unwind and just appreciate nature. Will definately be back! Loved the pond, cows, birds and the serenity! House had everything I needed and was clean. 🤙

Walkabout dreaming

A cute, clean, freshly renovated home nestled in a small quaint rural valley setting overlooking a meadow to the edge of the national park. Birds and other wildlife abound and the Grassy Head beach is 5mins in your car. Very tranquil.

Perfect house in the perfect spot

Everything was just as in the pics: a clean, nice house with all you need, clean large bathroom, comfy beds etc. The location, right by the rainforest, is fantastic. We will definitely book again.
