Great location easy access to all the little surrounding towns so close to Omena. Beach excellent. Nice road for walking. Would have liked directions to tv. Never go master on. Usual maintenance needs to be done

Amazing visit for this Momma and her 4 kiddos

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was wonderful and suited our needs in terms of rooms, space, outdoor functionality, proximity to beach, etc. It was well-stocked—missing a few kitchen essentials (flipper utensil—I used a spatula for pancakes and a fork for burgers as well as baking sheets for the oven) but otherwise had mostly everything we needed. Driving is faster than I would like along Omena Blvd where we had to cross for the beach but we adjusted rather quickly. The neighborhood is lovely and we enjoyed several walks, runs, and scooter rides. The listing says all towels are included but the email with info (sent the day prior when it may be a bit too late for those traveling prior to arrival) stated there were no beach towels. We had to pay $30 for 2 beach towels at the country store—but that accessibility to the country store is another big bonus for forgotten items, staples, snacks, and drinks. Another suggestion is to do a bug treatment: ear wigs, ants, and some gnat type bugs were inside and the yard is pretty thick with mosquitoes. We make an annual trip along the west arm every year (10 years now) and enjoyed the beach, waterfront deck, and water here immensely. Overall we loved our stay.

The house is gorgeous and spacious -- lots of great amenities inside including washer/dryer. Private beach across the street with loungers and chairs and fire pit. Beds and bedding were very comfortable and a great surprise was the AC window units in every room keeping everything cool especially for sleep. Wi-Fi was very strong! Will 100% be back and will tell friends about Lavender Lane!

Beautiful Private Beach

Overall it was absolutely wonderful and we would consider returning to the same place. The only two negatives we found was 1. The bar-b-que grill was filthy. So much so that we decided not to use it at all. 2. We had a lot of " bug issues". We are seasoned campers so in general they do not bother us. we were killing up to a dozen or more roaches, stink bugs, silverfush etc. each and every day. I realize that is a challenge when.close to water. I would recommend a regular visit from a bug man furing rental season.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There are two aspects in renting. One is the home and the other is the agency handling the property. The pictures of the home really don't show how nice the property is. Everything is well thought out in creating a nice space from the floors, appliances, furniture and decorations. I have stayed in many rentals and this is definitely at the top, thus the 5 rating. The rental agency on a 1 to 5 rating gets a 5++++ in my book. Initially they were quick to respond to a question. In all the years I have done VRBO's I Have never had an agent call me to see if all is okay. This agency called me twice and emailed me several times to make sure all is okay. Kudo's to them. They have set a very high bar.

Great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lavender Lane! The house is clean, stocked with essentials and in a great location. It was a perfect house for a girl friends getaway. The management company was also great and communicated every step of the way. We needed to get a hold of them at check in and we immediately got an answer.

Great location with easy access to Lake Michigan

Our group of 6 had an enjoyable stay. The extra-clean and neat landscaping of the property made all the difference. The beach front was very nice, but would have benefited from some sun protection (umbrella or cover on the lakeside platform.

We appreciated the updated bathroom vanities and 2d floor flooring and the house was very clean when we arrived. The location is convenient for us and we very much enjoyed sitting on the front porch or private beach with our morning coffee or to watch the moon over beautiful Omena Bay. So nice to return to an area we have known and loved for years.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check in to a house that was not very clean. Dog hair all over couch. Went up to master bedroom to a pee smell. Bed was wet with animal pee. Was told new bedding would be brought out next day WHAT. Ended up getting bedding in bag delivered to house by office. No follow up from management facility no apology nothing. You g girl from office helped change out bedding when she delivered it. Spider webs over kitchen table. Would not recommend till they get new management company and new cleaning crew. Location was great. House was perfect size for our family visit.

Enjoyable Stay

We enjoyed our stay at Lavender Lane. The house was very nice. The location was great. Beach and amenities at the beach (deck, chairs, fire pit) were wonderful. A few things to improve. Each bedroom should have a ceiling fan. One disappointment. Right away (on Friday morning) we reported a significant gas smell in the water heater room. The only response was that it had been checked recently and to open the window. We were VERY disappointed that no one came to fix this issue.

Lavender Lane stay

Lavender Lane was very nice. Its location worked very well for us as we wanted to be near family. Check in was easy and the staff was very helpful with an advance check-in call. The house was clean and cheerful with a lovely view of the bay. I would only suggest that the fourth bedroom would be most appropriate for small children as it is quite small with a single trundle bed.

We enjoyed the quietness of the property. Lost my mother 3 years ago. She was born and raised in SB

Nice, we all enjoyed being on and out. I do think there are some issues with electrical. Old house some things ha updated but not everything. Hair dryers an issue. Power goes off. Bottom line we enjoyed our stay and plan to be back. 6 miles from SB awesome.
