6 week stay

I enjoyed my time here! The location of the property is nice because it’s within walking distance of the romantic zone, but not in the heart of it. I parked my scooter in the alley next to the main gate and all was fine. It made for easy access on and off the main road (200). The TV has been upgraded since the photos were taken. The shop nearby served wonderful micheladas which were extremely popular among the locals. The private balcony is small, but the shared rooftop terrace is much larger and the views are great. There was only one other person staying while I was in the building, so I mostly had the rooftop terrace to myself. There is no air conditioning but the fans did work well, and in January I didn’t miss the air conditioning as it’s not essential to have. There is hot water, but only for the shower. After talking to locals I learned that this is quite common for the area also. The internet worked well for the most part, I was able to stream TV shows and watch YouTube. Only occasionally would the signal get dropped, but within a few minutes it would be back on. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would stay here again.

Wonderful short stay

On very short notice Marta allowed me stay in the unit. The pictures are accurate, it's clean and secure. Very little surrounding noise. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Amazing apartment

This was my first experience for a long term stay in Puerto Vallarta and thanks to the owners, it was stress free and very pleasant. Before my arrival, the owner contacted me to arrange my arrival. I was met by the owners who were so kind and showed me all the pertinent details. The apartment was very clean and organised, the owners made sure I was comfortable. Throughout my stay, the owners always responded quickly to my questions. The only negative point would be the constant noise (because the windows are always open) and the dirty & busy street way just before the entrance. But that is outside the owner's purview as it's municipal ground. I highly reccommand renting this hidden jewel.

The condo was very clean and equipped with everything I needed.

I enjoyed my stay at Gaviolas. The owners were very friendly and were willing to accommodate anything I needed to make my stay more comfortable however I needed nothing. It was close to the beach and the clubs. I highly recommend anyone to stay there.

Peaceful Out-of-the-way Relaxation

The entrance to the place makes you think you're in Old Mexico --- stairs and hanging laundry, an old dog --- then you walk through to the property which is charming, immaculate, secure and has everything that you need to recharge, relax and enjoy beautiful Puerto Vallarta! Lourdes, Marta and Ana the owners are always available if you need anything, and the place is just perfect for privacy and a tranquil retreat!! The owners have several properties, so call them!! You won't be sorry....

The owners were very attentive and informative. Property was quaint and peaceful. My stay there was very enjoyable thanks to their help. I would recommend someone else to stay there as well.

The property was fine. Gaining access to it was not.

The confo was grest however to access it we had to go through a confined area which contained a large pit bull like dog. If you are not afraid of dogs then this property is for you. If not , I would recommend you look elsewhere.

We want to go back!

The property was great and beautiful, set back in a tropical green setting. It was clean, neat and the owners are wonderful to work with. It had a great location for walking to anything, the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The mattress is very firm and new. The only issue we had was a ceiling fan light that kept flashing at low levels when turned off. The price was at the low end of what we were looking at and a few hundred US dollars less than places on the beach or with a balcony view of the beach. Having said that the view from the small balcony and the windows is very nice. For the price we paid we were tempted to give it five stars. The reason for giving it fewer stars was mainly the location and entrance. The location has a fairly significant hill so if you are our of shape it would be a chore. However we liked it because it gave us some exercise. The entrance is a but sketchy at night, a bit dark and secluded. To get to the door you pass through two locked gates, there is a gate on the door and the door itself locks. Everything works great but it is not a five star resort, but then it is not priced that way at all. It was 85 degrees there and there was great airflow through the property so it felt great. There is no air-conditioning, but we did not think we needed it. We chose to take a cab and walk everywhere. If you are driving a car there is not a real great place to park. We would stay there again, the money we saved on the property was used well in all the activities that were available all around us. If you do choose to stay there tell the cab driver it is directly across from the Subway off the highway. (And what they called the highway was just a two lane road, not really that busy or like a highway in the states) We would recommend it to our family and friends.
