Carriage House bajo Live Oaks en el centro histórico de Beaufort con patio jardín

Esta encantadora unidad de Carolina del Sur, llamada Sweetgrass, está en el nivel de la calle. Tiene dos habitaciones, una cama de matrimonio y una cama de matrimonio pequeña (para 2 niños o 1 adulto) y un baño (conectado a cada dormitorio), pisos de madera, TV por cable, y una cocina totalmente equipada. Relájese en el porche y patio amueblado rodeada de robles de 100 años cubiertos de musgo español, preciosos jardines y casas históricas.
Esta casa de carruajes, recientemente devuelta a la vida después de muchos años de abandono, se encuentra junto a nuestra casa, Craven House (vista en Southern Living Magazine). Es sin duda la mejor ubicación en Beaufort que permite a uno a pie de restaurantes, tiendas, museos y el parque junto al mar por el puerto deportivo. Es fácil llegar a la isla de París, a la playa Sands en Port Royal y a la playa Hunting en el océano.
Ropa de cama, incluyendo toallas de playa, están incluidos. Los electrodomésticos / electrodomésticos incluyen microondas, cafetera Kurig, televisión de alta definición, cocina a gas y horno eléctrico, utensilios de cocina, desecho, nevera, tostadora móvil, conexión a internet, secador de pelo, plancha y tabla de planchar, vajilla, té, café, papel higiénico , toallas de papel y jabón francés molido. Absolutely charming and beautifully appointed carriage house! The perfect location for enjoying everything that Beaufort has to offer. Walking distance (2 blocks) from “town” and the river park. An easy loop through historic Beaufort for getting your steps in. And Southern hospitality at its best from beginning to end.

This cottage is the perfect place to stay with visiting Beaufort and the surrounding sea islands. As well stocked, cute decor. I’m very clean. Is centrally located close to downtown and the hosts or fabulous and kind. Would absolutely stay here again on my next visit.

Exceptional charming Beaufort stay

Lovely accommodations. Everything we needed, including items we didn’t know we would need... Such as beach tote and beach towels. Location provided the opportunity to walk and stroll through downtown Beaufort. Being able to stay in this historic area made our trip very special. It felt like home. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back next year (3rd time). Do wish it had 2 things: First - cable TV ( Couldn't get much of anything on a new TV and couldn't cast to it, watched my iPad mostly .... No ball games), and 2: a grab bar in the shower for us old people.

Close enough to walk to Bay St.

Although we were close enough to everything that we could walk, the area was very quiet. The house was well furnished. Even had bug repellent, beach towels, and sun block, for our drive to Hunting Island. We used the queen bedroom and the bed was very comfy. We will definitely book the Carriage House again.

Exceptional “southern charm” cottage apartment

We very much enjoyed this property! Perfect location in Beaufort’s historic district…close walking distance to town and waterfront park. This cottage has tasteful decor and furnishings…it’s better than the photos. The owner is a sweet southern lady that is very accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Charming carriage house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in the ground floor space of the charming two-story carriage house. The property was immaculately clean and fresh, and had everything we needed. The shaded porch had rocking chairs to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful gardens. The location is perfect - close to Bay Street in the heart of the historic district. We will stay again when we return to Beaufort!

Nice cottage downtown

We enjoyed staying at this property. The cottage had all that we needed: clean bathroom, kitchen, living space, bedroom. Within walking distance to downtown but as my husband has a disability we drove the 4-5 blocks to get to the shopping end of Bay St. Easy parking. Recommend.

Great Place to Stay

We had a great time! The property is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. A short walk into Beaufort to enjoy the sights, food, and shopping. They had a music festival that we enjoyed as well. Would definitely recommend the home and area to visit. Even though the house was close to the town, there were no noise issues. Thanks!!

When Mike and I purchased Craven House, it had been neglected for many years. After a lot of hard work it is now reborn. It truly is a rich piece of history, and we love living in this South Carolina coastal town with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bonny Blue.
Mike is a retired architect currently involved in Beaufort city and county boards. Ellen is a retired portrait painter. Vacations from Atlanta down to Beaufort every summer to visit family, we bought this property because of our love for architecture, history and Beaufort itself. Ellen's family roots are in South Carolina, so it is like coming home to stay.

The Carriage House on Craven is central to all that is happening in Beaufort. During the many yearly festivals, parking is not easy to find in town. Just stay at the carriage house, leave the car and the festivals are a block away. Meander through one-of-a-kind shops on Bay Street and enjoy fresh local seafood in Beaufort's unique restaurants. If you don't want to eat out, a fully fitted kitchen is ready for you.

Set back from the street, the patio is a quiet place to sit and visit with friends or have a romantic dinner. Surrounded by historic homes and churches built in past centuries, one is taken back into the 19th century Old South. We live on the property and are at your beacon call anytime you need anything.
