This home suited all our needs. Location was key to all our plans, and convenient to the airport.. We had plenty of space to relax in our down time both inside and outside. I would recommend this property for future plans.

Mom and daughter trip

Stay at this jewel to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Lots of space and not too far from beaches and DTSD. The host, Jeff was very kind and we really enjoyed our 4 days at this La Mesa property.

Nice property in good location

Location was great for excursions and shopping. The hot tub was lovely and the owners were fabulous. The property met all of our expectations. The owners allowed us to enter early which may have rushed the house cleaner.

Good for overall price

The home was nice, with a nice backyard. The private front of the house parking was great. We were down here for an car event and all our vehicles were able to stay right in front of the house. There are something that the owner needs to have done and we sent the list to him privately. Once those items are corrected I believe the place would warrant a 4.5 star review

Great location and very comfy

We were visiting our new grandson and chose this house for the location. It was 20 minutes from anything we wanted to do. The house was spacious for the 6 of us. Plenty of towels, comfy beds and pillows. Many warm throws to snuggle under. The backyard was nice to use when we had a few really warm days. Grocery stores were a short drive. Jeff responded very quickly to the few questions we had. Nice perk are the 2 parking spots directly in front of the property. We enjoyed our 2 week stay.

Decently Nice House - Interesting Neighbors.

There were a few things that did conflict with our stay. The shower in the bathroom which is entered through the kitchen had very poor water pressure. Rinsing product out of hair took far longer than expected for one of our family members. There are a few rooms are very poorly lit because there is one bulb or the bulb is flickering. The iron in the home does not work. But the most negatively impacting thing were the neighbors. For some reason they are always outside late at night being loud, drinking, and smoking in front making it uncomfortable. You can hear them from inside as they argue or loudly yell at midnight and the people going in and out of the home right next door (The parking lot is shared with them at close distance) seem to be different every day which is concerning. The reviews are all dated and it may be due to this that we had higher expectations for our stay. The back yard is very nice with the trees, however.

Thank you for the feedback. We did not know about lighting or the iron and have since replaced both. Next door is also a rental and are usually pretty quiet so I apologize. We ask guests to reach out with any concerns or questions DURRING your stay so that we can remedy it. We would have been more than happy to contact the neighbor reguarding loud renters as well as provide anything you needed. We are happy you enjoyed the backyard amenities and all the trees.

Carpets/Mattresses need cleaning

This house has potential if carpets are professionally cleaned and mattresses are replaced with mattress covers added. In full transparency, I provided the owners my feedback separately as our group decided not to stay after the first night (we had rented it for 2 nights) due to the smell/cleanliness. The owners were nice to work with and they did provide us a partial refund because of our experience. My recommendation before renting would be to check with the owner to ensure they've taken care of the carpet/mattress issue. In looking at the previous reviews- this was also mentioned back in November. Otherwise- house is as described.

Chelsea notified us that the carpets had a bad smell. I went over and found that the carpet was not the culprit but a dead possum under the house. We felt bad and gave Chelsea a refund that she requested. She had told us that other than the smell the house was clean. However, every so often we replace the mattress protectors. They have all been since replaced.

The owner was very responsive and kind. He allowed us to check in early which was very much appreciated. The house had a decent amount of space. We enjoyed the back yard space and the fruit trees! Downers were....it was not clean. Needs a deep clean overall. It is on a very busy street so the bedrooms closer to the street will hear cars. There was a big argument and noise outside from people around 2am coming from the tenant who lives in the back unit. Also, no dish soap. No light in one of the bedrooms. One bathroom has a toilet placed so that you literally can't sit on the toilet without your knees hitting the vanity. Overall it just felt dirty. Also, the hot tub was dirty. Bummed because I was looking forward to that! The dishwasher leaked because the liner came off also. Yikes. Much improvement is needed on this place.

We just got home from a fun family vacation. This house was in a great location. It was really close to everything that we did. Like SeaWorld and OldTown. The owner responds very quickly and was very helpful with questions we had. But there were definitely more cons than pros. It was not as clean as I would have liked. The whole house truely needs a deep clean. The floors were vacuumed in the main walk says. But that was it! The couch had hair on it. The beds in all rooms were very uncomfortable. They creeped a lot. The pillows were all flat. Some of the pillows shams were soiled! The bunk bed was especially bad. Any movement and it creaked. It should truely be replaced. The pink bedroom smelt like smoke even though it said no smoking was allowed in the house. The kitchen microwave and fridge was gross. We had to clean them before use! The bathrooms were gross! The floor needed mopped. Their was hair on the shower walls. There were long strands of black hair on towels. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy. Overal the house did it’s job. We had a place to sleep and stay. But just needs some TLC.

I'm sorry you weren't happy with aspects of our home. Carpet is being replaced in a few months. However, we always ask how the place was after check in, and that would have been a great time to tell us if there were things missed by our cleaners, etc. They usually do a pretty good job.

Successful bachelorette weekend

The location was amazing! No more than 30 minutes to get to any of our locations. The grocery stores and food options were very close to the home. The house is spacious and the back yard was very cozy. It was great for our bachelorette weekend. Would definitely recommend and would probably stay here again if it’s available!!

Overall the property is in great shape. Little things like the ice maker not working and not having any spices/condiments for cooking was an inconvenience but that is probably a COVID thing. All in all it was much cheaper than the downtown hotels and more convenient to get around the area from.

The house was very comfortable for our 6 adults. Host was very responsive to the couple minor issues that came up. Location was easily accessible with nearby grocery and restaurants. Used the hot tub pretty much every night but wish we had brought our beach towels.

The place was a great stay only issue was there was only like 2 bags to trash can more would be nice to have. The restroom by kitchen had a weird smell, smelled like a dead rodent not sure since the entrance to attic was there

Both, of us share a passion for traveling, and the outdoors. Jeff is a traveling salesman who sells Traeger wood pellet grills, and Christina is a local Esthetician (so if you need any services while in town)

When we were looking for a home we looked all over San Diego county. We both have family that live in La Mesa and close by. We found it to be a great central location, and it has its own little town feel, with all its shops and eateries.

Location for sure is a great benefit! The place is super spacious. Relax in the back on the turf, or unwind with a glass of wine on the patio. Feel free to pick some fresh fruit from any of the 7 fruit trees.
