Recientemente renombrada y renovada, la popular casa de vacaciones asequible renace con más atractivo familiar que nunca. Argo, de dos niveles, espacioso y con cuatro habitaciones, ahora Argo también cuenta con 2 áreas de estar igualmente agradables. Albergando cómodamente a varias familias o un grupo de amigos, la casa es sencilla, cálida y acogedora. La cocina y el comedor de planta abierta ofrecen vistas a la montaña y al océano, al igual que el salón y los dormitorios en la parte superior. El cuarto dormitorio, algo así como un retiro para niños, cuenta con una litera y un par de sofás para esconderse de los adultos. Argo es un paseo fácil a la ciudad y la playa. Amplio estacionamiento en la calle, energía solar respetuosa con el medio ambiente, mesa de ping pong de tamaño pequeño, fuego de leña, dos baños, tocador, amplio balcón con impresionantes vistas al océano. Great spot!

Space is clean and welcoming and was well stocked very clean and spacious Wood heater is amazing and plenty of wood provided. Bedrooms do get cold so bring an extra doona if you want to be comfortable. Overall a great spot terrific view

Weekend with Friends

House was perfect for two families - had everything we needed. It had a nice outlook and was in a peaceful position. Quite a steep walk into town but was good exercise! It was a bit chilly while we were there but there are a few heaters to use. I would definitely stay there again if we visited Lorne.

Location is great and the house is gorgeous but few things were a bit disappointing

The house was really cold.on arrival..no electricity power point in the bathroom n was really cold.to shower/bath the kids...I think bath math & hand towel should b provided...the shower had hair from.previous guest....the house is really cold and you should not request to.clean the ashes before departure cause it mean that we can put the fire in.the morning n.keep the kids warm....after all.this negative points we have to say that this place is gorgeous and the kids loved to have all the birds around the porch...also to.provide a late check out was amazing...overall we scored a 4 stars but I hope you respect our review

Spacious & Perfect for Entertaining

4th year of staying here and yet again it was perfect for our group who came to Lorne for the Amy Gillet Gran Fondo. The new addition of the extra toilet and the small renovations were noticed and great. No Sink Detergent which was annoying and basic condiments like salt and pepper wouldn't go astray. We really enjoyed our stay.

Had a great stay with my family here. Amazing views and location only 10 minute walk to the beach and shops. BYO sheets, towels, kitchen condiments, paper towel. Kitchen utensils and pots and pans all provided. Was very clean and lots of space for a big family especially having two lounge areas. Good value

Homely with quality

I (Pop), my wife (Nannie) took our two sons, their wives and our 4 grandchildren children on a holiday we will never forget. The home was inviting and warm. Views were great and the accommodation was perfect. we will be back to Lorne in a heart beat!! same time next year!! Hope my sons can make it. One is from Perth and one from Mornington. Lovely house

I booked the house for a group of friends for my birthday. The house was beautiful and worked well in terms of having different bed arrangements, two living areas and an outdoor area. Great views to the ocean and only a 10 minute walk to the main street via some hills. My only feedback to the owners would be that the kitchen would benefit from a tea pot, coffee plunger, measuring cups or a measuring jug and a hand citrus squeezer. Also one of my guests had some difficulty sleeping in the bunk room due to an animal in the roof.

Spacious Property Perfect for a Weekend Getaway!

ARGO is the perfect property for friends & family to book for a weekend or holiday getaway! We stayed here as a group of 8 of us for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the property and its close proximity to the beach, boardwalk & all attractions that Lorne has to offer. The view from the property is also spectacular! I would definitely recommend this property to others & look forward to booking it again in the future. Some of the propertys highlights included: -The fireplace -Large windows -Renovated kitchen & upstairs bathroom -Comfortable beds -Large outside deck -Stunning views & great location -Heaps of kitchen utensils -Plenty of parking space (in my opinion enough for 4x cars if need be!) The only constructive comment I would make about the property is that I thought a few basic amenities were missing & that some tips/notes should be listed on AirBnB or when booking: -As instructed, we brought our own linen (pillow covers, bed sheets, duvets etc) but found on arrival that this was all provided and that we were only required to bring the fitted bed sheets. It would be great if it was specified which linen was required. -Tip: It would also be good to have a note on the website reminding guests to bring their own tea towels as well as these are not provided, essential to have & are easily forgotten by guests. -No lighter available to start a fire in the fireplace (small detail but we had to go and buy one at the FoodWorks!) -Dishwasher tablets & dishwasher liquid were provided, but other than a few washcloths and 1x sponge there wasn't anything to properly clean the dishes with by hand. -There were no kitchen towels -It would have been a nice touch to have bathmats in the bathrooms as the floor can get quite chilly during the colder months On behalf of all of us that visited the property thank you!! We had the perfect weekend escape & well be back for sure!!! :)

Great value for a large family!

Argo was ideal for 3 families (10 people) to enjoy a great weekend break at Lorne. The upstairs living area and bunk room were certainly enjoyed by the younger members as they had their own space. The property has undergone an amazing renovation with great colours, furniture and fittings. Enough crockery cutlery and baking dishes to do some 'real' cooking. We really appreciated their offer of pay for 2 stay for three, which was why we chose the property. We would highly recommend Argo.

Argo was the perfect getaway for a family. Seperate kids/adults area, enough room for everyone! Wild life was an added bonus, with kangaroos and koalas seen in the yard.

Family Friendly

Our family and friends have enjoyed many wonderful holidays at "Argo" Argo is an extremely family friendly property.It is lay-back, spacious and functional. It has recently been simply and tastefully refurbished, including a complete refit of the kitchen benches,table and appliances. We intend to enjoy many more great times in the future at 10 Hopetoun Terrace.

Perfect for large families

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Argo during the Surf Life Saving Carnival in Lorne. The house is ideal for a couple of families, in particular the upstairs level with it's spacious bunk room and teenage retreat. It's location is perfect with the shops and beach a pleasant stroll down the hill and just far enough away from the traffic and noise of main street. We loved the views and our daily visit at dusk from the kangaroo who would pop in to drink from the tap out front. We're all looking forward to coming back later this year.

We loved the views of the ocean and particularly enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the evening listening to the birds whilst enjoying the view. Its an easy walk down the hill to the beach, shops and restaurants but yet far enough away from the main strip to not be noisy. Loved the kids retreat bedroom upstairs, where theres plenty of room for them to spread out, the other bedrooms are spacious, light and all have views of the ocean.. Really looking forward to going back in winter so we can use the fire.
