COMPLEJO / COMUNIDAD
Leeward Cove Cottage es una propiedad frente al mar de dos pisos en el primer piso que es un lugar de escapada increíble para el fin de semana o durante unos meses. Este pequeño pero acogedor complejo lo tiene todo. Estás a solo un corto paseo de la playa, pero también tienes un excelente muelle para pescar y resbalones para botes disponibles por orden de llegada. También hay una piscina del tamaño justo para este complejo que es una verdadera joya escondida en nuestra isla.

INTERIOR
La unidad en sí tiene una cocina bien equipada y se proporcionan toallas y ropa de cama. Las comodidades modernas, como un reproductor de DVD Blu-ray y WiFi gratis también están disponibles. En la planta baja está la sala de estar y el comedor de la cocina, así como un baño completo, lavadora y secadora. Las dos habitaciones están ubicadas arriba y comparten medio baño. Un dormitorio tiene una nueva cama king size cómoda y otro está amueblado con cama queen size. También hay un sofá cama queen size para que duerman dos invitados adicionales.
También viene con actualizaciones modernas como enchufes de carga USB en los dormitorios y en el área del bar de la cocina y Smart TV con Roku y acceso a HULU, Netflix, Amazon, etc.
¡No se pierda esta acogedora unidad de dos dormitorios a un excelente precio!

We love the overall location of this property with the bay in back and very close to the beach. The family enjoyed the dock on the backside for fishing and use of the outdoor grills for cooking meals. Only complaint I have was the bed was uncomfortable.

A wonderful "winter Texan" retreat:)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've rented at this condo for several winters and enjoyed the management. They replaced a blender that died promptly and had HVAC service over immediately to remedy the air conditioner that had issues. The sofa is pretty soft and the cabinetry could be updated but we had a new washer and drier this year. The unit is only a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed almost daily. The opening of the Don Patricio channel should offer more fish moving into the unit's "back yard". The sunsets are awesome from the deck!!! The permanent residents in the neighboring units are very friendly. We were invited to their Fat Tuesday party again this winter. And Peter has been become my buddy...probably because I always have a doggy treat for him. We've already booked one of the units in the condo again for next winter:)

Issues with neighbors

The condo itself was clean and as expected for the price point. However, the listing didn’t include the HOA rules about no children under 14 ever allowed in the hot tub. We found out upon arrival after the HOA president immediately scolded us before our kids even had so much as their feet in the water. We were alone in the pool area, not interrupting anyone. She came from across the courtyard to confront us. She was not pleasant, and later made comments to other permanent residents about how she disliked renters in front of us while smoking cigarettes with her dog off leash in the common area (two violations of her own rules). We did not feel welcome. Padre escapes listened to our complaint and promised to update the listing, although, we were told the HOA rules have been in place for several years. Being that we stayed in the condo over a holiday, we weren’t able to resolve the issue during our stay. I don’t blame Padre Escapes for that, but staying on those conditions ruined the trip.

Recommend this cottage. Great location.

Enjoyed our stay in this cottage. We got enjoy fishing on the pier at night and the beach during the day. This cottage is just a few minutes drive to the beach. Great location and will definitely go back!

Great little place on a canal near the beach

This is a double row of condos with a pool in between and a dock on the canal at the end. The bedrooms are upstairs with kitchen/living room area downstairs. Shower/bath is downstairs as well. It is pretty close to the Michael J. Ellis beach--close enough for me to walk the dogs there in the mornings. It had everything we needed and the management is incredibly responsive and helpful. It is billed as pet friendly, but just be aware that any HOA rules that apply to pets are strictly enforced. You can also contact the management for other pet friendly properties.

Reviewer Comments: Check-in/check-out was easy breezy, property was clean and just as described, dog area was tiny, mattresses were very firm, a convenient short drive to beaches and restaurants, view of sunsets off the docks was beautiful, catch and release fishing was plentiful enough for the kids with proper bait (we used dead shrimp with much success but *again*we weren’t fishing for whoppers or anything, just fun for the kids), other comments about the “local” residents had us cautious but we kept to ourselves and were respectful and cleaned up after our dogs without letting them bark and we had no trouble with the residents. Overall, this was an excellent experience and would recommend!

So So Rental, not worth the price

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was not great for the price. The beds were hard and pillows flat. It also was not as clean as you would think, with the cleaning fees that are charged. the picture of the water is kind of deceiving, there are only two pier/decks for the complex.

Enjoy the property and location just not to fond of the ones who live their full time. They make you feel uncomfortable in the pool and make you feel like you can't enjoy yourself because you have to be quiet or they complain.
