Luxury ocean property “ La Flotte” in North Qld
"La Flotte" is an Award Winning Luxury Ocean Front Home - set in the idyllic tropical village of Machans Beach.
We are just north of Cairns, in a unique coastal destination situated between The Great Barrier Reef and Rain Forest.
The space
We are delighted that you have chosen our beach house - “La Flotte" - for your well-earned vacation. We just know that you will fall in love with our special spot in Tropical North Queensland.
Through time spent travelling as a family, we discovered two locations, in opposing hemispheres that we were drawn to. Machans Beach, the sleepy beachside fishing village in Tropical North Queensland - and La Flotte, a UNESCO World Heritage seaside village on the French Atlantic island of Il De Re'.
We can't be in two places at once - so we have brought some of La Flotte to our house in Machans Beach. Much of the decor, furniture, fittings, linen and artwork have travelled halfway around the world, to find their home at Machans Beach. We hope you enjoy them!
Perhaps most fitting of all though, is the constant fleet of vessels, by day and by night, out on the horizon of the Coral Sea to keep you company during your stay here. We know them as La Flotte - or - The Fleet.
La Flotte was completed in 2015!
La Flotte at Machans Beach has been designed to effectively use passive heating and cooling. Features such as an elevated floor, high ceilings and louvre windows throughout enable this.
Most importantly you are located in the ideal position to experience optimal enjoyment from the stunning coastal breeze.
In addition to these design features – ceiling fans and reverse cycle air conditioning units are provided for your comfort.
Guest access
You will have full access to the Wi-Fi internet service.
During your stay, you will have access to a fully equipped chef's kitchen.
A premium gas BBQ is located on the front deck with an outdoor lounge and dinning space should you wish to enjoy the tropical afternoon breeze.
Our crystal blue salt water swimming pool is cleaned and maintained constantly for your enjoyment.
You will find the temperature remains wonderfully comfortable year round.
When you arrive for your stay – your comfortable beds will be made up for you!
Each guest will also be provided with a towel for bathroom use and a towel for pool use outside.
During your stay, you will have access to a fully equipped laundry, with large front loader washer, sensor dryer and laundry tub.
We hope you enjoy our garden!
Depending on the time of the year – you will see our garden take on a distinct character – often attracting various local fauna.
If you have one or more cars – you will be able to park on-site.
Other things to note
Your personal and material security is considered a high priority. We are able to provide you with the highest level of security via an ICT Access Control System and Alarm.
After your booking has been confirmed, and just prior to your arrival, you will be issued with a four digit security pin, that is valid for the duration of your stay.
Don't worry if you forget your pin at any stage! Simply call us and we can send you a new one.
