Very nice place. Loved all the bathrooms!

We really enjoyed the house. Use of the hot tub was nice. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were great. Disposing of the trash was interesting though. Would come back for sure!

Best ever!

Absolutely loved this house! Have rented houses for vacations the last few years and this one completely stands out. Beautifully decorated and so well equipped in the kitchen with plenty of amenities. Would rent again if available.

Excellent residence in beautiful surroundings

We stayed here to be close to the river as we planned to ride up and down the Mississippi and enjoy its mighty beauty. We loved that the unit had an attached bathroom on all four bedrooms. Everyone in our group appreciated the privacy. It is located in a cozy wooded area surrounded by other nice houses and golf courses. It was very private, and the houses had adequate space between them. The host checked on us often to make sure our stay was great. Checkout was easy, which we appreciated. We definitely would stay there again! This is a 5 star property.

Very relaxing stay

While the home is set in a neighborhood with houses to either side, it is tucked in a wooded area and a private drive in the back of the home. We really enjoyed the screened-in porch for our early morning coffee visits. Sleeps 8 comfortably in four beds. I would say the pull-out couch bed probably could count as a sleeping space for a small child or two. The kitchen was stocked full with every appliance, nice dishes and glasses, and a very nice grill. Thank you!

Perfect for our family reunion

We rented this house (and the property next door) for an extended weekend. Twelve adults and ten kids fit perfectly into the two houses. It was nice to have king beds in each bedroom, rather than the typical array of queen and twin bunk beds that a lot of large rental properties always seem to have. The Galena Ridge Territory had plenty activities to keep the kids entertained. We had great communication with the owner. He responded quickly to the couple of communications we had over the weekend. The house was well maintained and provisioned very appropriately. Almost every child expressed a desire to come back "Every Year", and we'll likely try to come back next year.

Beautiful Home for Family Get Together

Great family time in the Galena Territory in a home that met all our needs. We have enjoyed summer vacation times with our three sons and their families. This year two of the families were able to join in. The home easily accommodated four grand children ages 1,3, & 13 (twins) and six adults. The open floor plan on the main level made for ease in keeping an eye on the little ones while we prepped meals, played board games, or watched TV. The screened in deck made for relaxing quit time and a cool place for coffee in the morning with the littl ones able to explore and play safely. The hot tub was an added plus and a good way to unwind. The "Owners Club" is fun for all ages. We enjoyed fishing on Lake Galena and the twins had fun actually catching and releasing a variety of pan fish. Shopping in Galena is a nice bonus. We travel quite often and use "Home Away and VRBO" often. This owner helped to make this propert one of our favorites. We plan to return!

Great for a group

This house had a great layout for our group of 8 friends. Each of the four bedrooms has a private bathroom which was great. The living room/kitchen area is nice and open and perfect for hanging out. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken - it was sort of useable, but too hot and then too cold…so we didn’t end up being able to use it. That was pretty disappointing, as the hot tub was a big factor for us choosing this property. It seemed to be quite weathered, so not super surprised that it was having issues. The property has an electronic lock with key code, so that was very convenient, but the buttons are getting worn so took a few tries to get them punched in correctly. the information communicated/rental agreement process was a bit complicated. The rental agreement had to be signed using a website outside of VRBO, the instruction sheet was a Google doc that included instructions on using the lock, but the access code was back in the rental agreement. Just felt a bit complicated/clunky. Other than those minor things and the hot tub, this was a great experience. Kitchen had everything we needed, the house was clean, and the property manager seemed to be readily available if we needed anything. A wonderful house to stay in if you want space to hang out and still be relatively close to shopping and restaurants downtown.

This was an exceptional home away from home. We thouroughly enjoyed the screened in porch for meals as well as visiting and playing cards in the evening. It was in a beautiful location and the siblings and spouses had a great time reconnecting. The host/manager was very accommodating and answered our questions and concerns quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend this vacation rental as there were four large bedrooms each with its own ensuite.

Great stay

The property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. It was wonderful to have 4 Queen/ king beds with each room having its own bathroom. We would stay here again.

Family fun!

We love coming to Galena each year and have rented many properties in the territory. I would actually say the pictures did not do this property justice. The cleanest property I have stayed at in over 15+ properties. The owner was excellent with his communication with me. Only issue was the tricky front door lock system. Excellent screened in porch/outdoor area. Layout was very open and spacious. The fact that every bedroom had a full bath was amazing! Also the kitchen was fully stocked with anything and everything you could need. Extra plus, thank you for more than 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 garbage bag!! Appliances were top notch also. Great family rental

This home was great for our family gathering and had plenty of space for everyone. Each bedroom has its own attached full bath which was fabulous. Great location close to all the amenities that the territory has to offer. We would gladly stay here again.

Falsely accused of damage

I was excited to write this review as we enjoyed our stay very much. It was beautiful & had everything we needed. We loved it & were planning on returning. We treated it as our own home. Yet the day after our trip I received a shocking message from the rental property stating their cleaning crew noticed damages & were going to charge when they had an estimate. I immediately asked the owner to please provide more information as we are 100% sure there were no damages done to the property. It’s been 12+ days & have gotten no response from them at all. I’ve tried to reach out yet no response. I’m still waiting on one. We followed all their house rules as stated in the red binder located in their home. We STILL haven’t heard anything and they do make you sign a contract out of vrbo. I will be extremely disappointed if they end up charging for something our group did not do. It was a beautiful home but if you stay I recommend getting the damage insurance vrbo offers, as you may end up paying for false claims.

Excellent home

This house was beautiful and had everything it promised. The beds were very comfortable, the bedding was new and the towels were new. It had a nice open concept and plenty of firewood for a nice cozy fire.

Awesome venue for family get togethers!

We had a bit of a family reunion. The house was in fabulous condition, perfect for relaxing, with plenty of space for active young grandchildren to play and/or chill, and with great kitchen facilities for family dinners. We really enjoyed the trip to the Dubuque aquarium and the swimming pool at the Owner's club. One son has now changed plans for an upcoming anniversary to come to the Galena Territories.
