Amazing weekend stay!

The property is gorgeous and the house was amazing. We celebrated two birthdays there and everything was perfect. The owners walked us through everything when we got there and were super friendly. Everybody in our group had a great time. Definitely a must stay again in the future!!

Family Weekend

Gabriel and Kevin were fantastic host. Maren Estate is absolutely beautiful, warm and comfortable. Our family ranging in age from 2 - 87 had an amazing weekend and cannot wait to return.

Family Birthday weekend

Family reunion paradise

This place was truly exceptional in every way. Kevin and his family were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and impressively well-stocked with everything we needed. Both myself and many in our group agreed, it was hands down the best rental property we’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommended!

The Perfect Mountain Escape!

We rented this property for our wedding weekend, and we are so happy we did because it was absolute perfection! The house looks even better than the photos. It was very clean upon arrival, communication with the host was wonderful, and there truly is nothing better than those mountain views off the deck. We had an amazing wedding weekend and hope to return very soon!

Blue Ridge Delight

This was our third visit to the Maren Estate and we plan to return. The accommodations are top notch and the views are breathtaking. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glassware, silverware, and cookware. The open floor plan makes it a perfect gathering place for family and friends. The house is tastefully decorated and the property is superbly maintained. Many thanks to our hosts, Gabriela and Kevin!

Photos do not do this justice!

There are not words to express how incredible this property is. The house is incredible with lots of space for sleeping and hanging out. I’ve never actually stayed in a house that was so thoughtfully laid out for big groups and stocked for it as well (more plates and glasses than you can believe). And then the view…you have to see it to believe it!

Another wonderful weekend!

The Maren Estate is absolutely gorgeous! The views from the house are spectacular and the fall colors surrounded us. The kitchen has everything you might need. We appreciated the variety of serving dishes. The dining room table worked well for family card games and puzzles, as well as dining. This is our second visit and we are looking forward to visit #3. Thank you, Eleanor, for your enthusiastic welcome and your helpfulness.

Absolutely Stunning

We met the owner and she was so proud to show us her beautiful house. The house is absolutely gorgeous, they did a magnificent job of designing and building this. It’s beautifully appointed with lovely antique pieces which adds such a warm feeling of home. The views are breathtaking. The pool and hot tub were unexpected extra that we took full advantage of. Walking the property was such a pleasure, too. The only down part was that we didn’t stay longer. We will be returning!! And we highly recommend this beautiful property.

Memorable Family Gathering

This was the perfect house for our family of children and grandchildren (ages 3 - 20) to gather. Everyone was comfortable with their sleeping accommodations and we could all gather in the dining and kitchen area to share our meals together. We walked the beautiful grounds, enjoyed the pool and hot tub, hiked nearby and visited UVA for a concert. We topped of the weekend with a mega Easter Egg Hunt! Many thanks to Kevin and Gabriela for their welcoming orientation tour! We'll be back!

Wonderful House with Superb Hosts and Views

This was our 13th family vacation, and the house and hosts were the best. Along with a wonderful house with lots of outdoor sitting spaces, and a perfect pool and hot tub, the hosts had stocked it with everything the 14 of us needed for the week - hand and shower soap, bath and pool towels, paper products, etc. They thought of everything, and Gabriela gave us a super tour of the home when we checked in. There was so much to do that we didn't even get a chance to enjoy the Beer Garden. The views from the house are breath taking and at the end of the driveway is a winery, brewery (great pizza) and pick your own farm market. My family had a wonderful week, and we highly recommend Maren Estate. We rarely go back to the same property, but the whole family agreed that Maren Estate was the best mountain property we have visited for our family vacations. We'll be back.

Dan and his family were simply the best ! They were outstanding guests, followed all of the house rules, and were very respectful of the property. Moreover, they are very nice folks with whom we had the chance to interact a couple times during their visit. We give the highest possible recommendation for Dan and his family, and hope to see them again soon.

Amazing stay at Maren Estate!

My family and I had our annual reunion at the Maren Estate and it was incredible. The property is breathtaking, the house is immaculately decorated, cleaned and stocked. The beds are comfortable, the pool is beautiful, the owners are so friendly and helpful. In my family, we covered all ages from infants, school aged, teens, and adults, and we all equally enjoyed our stay. The location is close to so many fun family activities for people of all ages. There is tons to do on the property alone. The owners are so welcoming, and their attention to the care of the Estate shows. We even left behind a little toy part of my daughter's that they sent to us in a day. I cannot say enough good things about Maren Estate. We will absolutely be returning!

Magical snowy weekend

This property was so fun for my whole family! The hills on the property were perfect for sledding. It is very close to winter green for outdoor activities. The views are spectacular and the pictures really do not do it justice!

Spectacular Beyond Expectations

The photos on the website are lovely, but cannot capture the beauty of this estate. It is a not so little piece of Heaven -- both inside and out. The property and scenic views are breathe taking. Each room is decorated with wonderful and intriguing antique pieces. We have never rented a vacation home with so many amenities -- any and everything you could possibly need plus more. We are a large, growing family. This spectacular vacation home will be a yearly visit.

The perfect trip.

We stayed at the Maren Estate for my cousins bachelorette party over labor day weekend. From the moment I arrived to the property, Gabi and Kevin were the perfect hosts. They showed us every detail of the massive and stunning home, and it was very clear how proud they are of this beautiful place. The pictures do not even do it justice, it is truly GRAND. Our stay was perfect. It is close to many wineries and there’s great food in the area for takeout, as well as a large kitchen for cooking breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. The place has plenty of room and it was so easy to relax. The views are to die for. I can’t thank Gabi and Kevin enough for their hospitality. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful views and property!!!

The owner was excellent to deal with at check in. Clearly explained all of the property features. Excellent furnishings and equipment. This property has amazing one of a kind views. Convenient to Wintergreen and all of the area breweries and wineries. Thanks for a fantastic long weekend.

Jim and his family were fantastic, and we greatly enjoyed having them as guests at Maren Estate. They took excellent care of the house and property, leaving it in perfect shape. We particularly liked being able to meet Jim and his family and talk to them for a while at the start of their stay. They are great folks and we would love to have them stay at Maren again.
