The house was wonderful! Lots of room and filled with interesting decor. We enjoyed the animals. It was a quiet location, perfect for our family get-together. Very clean.

Beautiful house, fantastically furnished and decorated, really drew us in and made us feel comfortable right away. Lots of interesting artwork and furniture pieces that everybody loved. The kitchen is huge and very functional. There were 11 of us and it never felt crowded. We came to spend time together and taste the wine and it was a fabulous weekend with my sisters, nieces, daughter and our stepmother with my nephew and my daughter’s boyfriend as designated drivers. Everybody wants to do it again. And to top it all off, the donkeys, goats and pig are adorable!

Vacation to remember! We knew from the listing and reviews that we would be happy in this house, and we were! There were up to 10 of us, ages 30 to 80, related to each other by blood or by marriage, and we all agreed before we left that this was a vacation to remember. The house itself was as listed and better. Beds were comfortable, quilts were beautiful! Bathrooms were clean with two full baths upstairs and a half bath downstairs. Kitchen was large enough for cooks and hanging out at the same time. And each of the four common-area rooms plus the dinette meant we could gather in small groups or large or just find a quiet corner. The many and varied things to do and see in the area kept all of us entertained both in groups and singly, meeting back “home” to compare notes. Plenty of food options in the area as well as family cooked dinners at the house meant no one went hungry. And the nature lovers among us were happy to spend time at the house making friends with the farm animals and just enjoying the outdoors.We are so glad that this home has been made available through this venue for what seemed like a tailor-made experience for us all.

The house and property were very nice! In ground pool and other home amenities were a plus. All beds and bedding were amazingly comfortable. Views / scenery were awesome! Our Family felt at home right away, everyone was extremely comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked with items; spices, bowls, utensils, glassware etc. which made our stay even more enjoyable!

Blue Ridge visit

Stayed for three nights in a great setting. Easy access to local lakes, hikes, tubing and wineries/breweries. Great views from the house along with the added fun of the farm animals around the property. The house has everything you need, including a nice pool, yard games, deck, and fire pit. Access was easy, owners/caretakers were responsive to questions.

Wonderful vacation rental. Property was clean and well equipped. Check in was easy. We all enjoyed the farm animals. The house is large and comfortable and the pool was great. Plenty of things to do in the area.

Wonderful Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and clean. The pictures online don’t depict just how large the house is…we were so impressed and awed. My daughter and her boyfriend really enjoyed the pool and used it daily. I enjoyed the kitchen with two ovens, multiple sinks and lots of counter space. The mud room/laundry room with its charming half door was an excellent place to put the dogs when we were away. They could watch the goings on outside from the door and we were assured they were not getting on the furniture. Everybody we encountered at the farm was extremely friendly…including the mules, horses and the very vocal rooster! The house itself is old and in need of some TLC-at times it felt like we were invading someone’s home with all the personal clutter inside. But nonetheless we had a relaxing and fun time. Thank you for the much needed vacation!

If you're looking for a farmhouse on a working farm...

....this is the place to be. The farmhouse itself was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the pool and movie room. It was fun walking around the property and interacting with the farm animals. We'd definitely stay here again.

Magical!

I cannot express enough how much i loved this place! Cozy farmhouse! I felt like i was walking back in time, waiting for my grandma to take some biscuits out of the oven. The grounds was so beautiful and we are planing another trip soon!

Gorgeous Getaway--Some TLC Would Make It Perfect!

The setting is gorgeous and relaxing. We would wake up and sip hot chocolate on the deck, watching the deer graze in the meadow. The donkeys, goats, and pigs were a fun addition. The inside of the house was clean and had all the kitchen appliances necessary for our stay. However, the home is a bit dated and needs general repairs. A closet door in the entryway was hanging awkwardly. A panel on the outside of the kitchen counters was hanging by one nail. The upstairs hall toilet was a bit rocky. The bunk beds are not in a room of their own. They are actually in the hallway between the three upstairs bedrooms. Not a problem, just a heads up for those using the beds. Overall, the home fit our needs and was close to everything my family planned to do while visiting the area. The stunning scenery made the stay!

Great Place to Stay

The farm house was amazing! We enjoyed the country side and the quiet. It was a cozy place for our family reunion. There are some things that could be fixed or updated but overall the pros definitely outweigh the cons. The property manager was amazing and so accommodating. We would definitely stay again and look forward to it.

Great location near Nelson 151

We loved the location, and it's was fun to visit with the animals. Wish we were able to sample some of the chicken eggs. There is a bit of deferred maintenance, some water damage in the kitchen. Would also have been great if there was a hair dryer available, especially as the weather gets colder. All in all a fun stay at a farm with a great location.

A quiet escape near many activities

The farm is a perfect base camp for enjoying Nelson County and the 151 byway. It is quiet and peaceful but still super close if looking to enjoy hiking Humpback (can be seen from the property), enjoying the craft beer and wine trail, or enjoying the seasonal activities - an evening corn maze was a highlight. Kitchen has ample space to cook or set up a buffet of takeout from the roadside BBQ and weekend food trucks frequently found at the nearby breweries. And the season decor in the farmhouse adds ambiance to the great togetherness time the property inspires.

WONDERFUL GETAWAY!

The farmhouse was a great atmosphere for a family get away. The charm of farmhouse, lovely accommodations, amazing scenery, close to vineyards /breweries, fun time feeding the farm animals, fire pit and smores at night, and super friendly farm care takers. We will be back!!

Farm House

Well furnished, kitchen fully furnished with all necessary utensils. Inside was comfortable with nice period furniture, not stripped down like many rentals.

Absolute Serenity

This farmhouse was one of the best properties we’ve ever visited. And had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked. The pool was amazing and the space and views went on forever. We enjoyed the farm animals animals the wildlife, and the breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge mountains would highly recommend this place, we will be back!
