Only criticism was that the back garden was so full of high weeds we couldn't let our dog outside at the back.

Back in time experience

Secondly,pet friendly and semi-friendly for disability/seniors people. The furniture are old but comfortable enough. Better couch is recommended.We welcome the new fridge, rangehood and oven.Having two fridges is great as eating out is not an option(only one restaurant opens until 9pm). Comfortable beds. Can't complain much but can only recommend for an experience.

Relaxing 5 night stay

Good for the warmer weather.

Kitchen needs some work as the range hood can not be used due to all the buttons missing and the oven doesn’t work properly. This resulted in the property filling with smoke and steam, and smoke alarms did not activate which was a concern. It would be a good summer stay home as there is no heating and it was very cold inside.

Holiday at Straddie

Reviewer Comments: You forgot to send the email telling us pin numbers to get in, what to bring which was disappointing like a dish cloth, dishwashing detergent, hand wash for the bathroom and the kitchen. Also the main bedroom fan doesn't work as it is not connected, there were two vertical fans for the house one was broken and there was no extension cord for the other one. My husband doesn't sleep much so he kept the cockroaches company in the lounge room. We went there because we have a dog we all had a great time, the dog didn't want to leave. We found Straddie Eats on the way to the house and had lunch, we then went there every day for coffee it is the same every time you go there. All the staff make great coffee.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Long dog hair all over main bed, couch, cushions and carpet. 3 days after request, cleaner came and did a wonderful job. Handyman to address multiple lights not working never arrived and no follow up from staff. 1of2 ovens broken and taped in place. House maintenance non-existent, grotty with cobwebs and dirt in door/window tracks and bottoms of cupboards. Have stayed here before, had been happy previously.

Reviewer Comments: The advertisement stated that there were 2 x queen beds but 1 of the beds has 2 single mattresses pushed together and as I am over 6ft my feet hang off the endThe screen door in the rear bedroom stops short of the frame so if you open the glass sliding door to get some fresh breeze there is a gap at the end of the fly screen door which lets in the bugsThe range hood doesn’t have any switches or knobs looks like they have all been broken off at some stage so can’t use exhaust fan or lights if cooking on the stoveThe remote for the ceiling fan in the bedroom was inside the tv cabinet in the lounge room with no batteries and when I put a battery in and tried it it only worked intermittently and sounds like it may have a short ( maybe this is why the remote was disconnected)

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A roof over your head and not much else. Had a great time despite all of the beds being quite uncomfortable, ended up sleeping on the loungeroom floor on a foam mattress. Had to fix the fence on arrival so that our dogs could be secured, one part of fencing is falling down and in need of replacement. Close to all things and good enough for the price I guess.
