We had a nice stay at this beachside condo. There were a few things that we wished had gone a bit smoother, but overall it was a very nice stay and would definitely stay again with these things in mind!
Pros: it is fairly close walking distance to the beach and made for nice easy travel to and from the beach. The condo was very clean and the renovation was nicely done. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with most things you’d need. The water filter is a nice touch. The AC works REALLY well. The grounds of the complex are very well kept and the pools were sparkling. Having potty spots that are stocked with poop bags is a definite plus. The shower rinse spot at the gate by the beach was very handy. There are quite a few beachfront bars and restaurants within walking distance just a short walk north on the beach.
The downfalls, however minor, still added up to a star deduction.. Cons: the beds, master and pull out couch, are so uncomfortable. After spending long days on the beach neither of them provided much for relaxation. It’s on the second floor which isn’t usually a con for us, but in hotels there’s usually an elevator.. we were so happy we brought our wagon! After having to lug all of our beach gear up and down the stairs, we’ll make sure to reserve a first floor next time. A couple of things we wish we had that weren’t stocked was a baking sheet and paper towels. The tv in the living room could use help on a couple of things—we were never able to get it to work, with the remote or the buttons, and it’s hung in an awful spot. We both hit our heads on it a few times lol. I mentioned the AC worked really well.. maybe a little TOO well. We weren’t able to get it to adjust from 68 cool. We froze our tushes off. And there weren’t any extra blankets which definitely would’ve been nice to have had on hand.. Especially if someone needed to actually sleep on the pull out.. however, I’m sure we could’ve just asked for some but would’ve had to make the walk to the office to get it. Lastly, just be aware that there is a two point check-in process! We hadn’t fully read the email (totally our fault!), so had to turn around and head back to the other end of the island to get our keys after checking in at the complex and receiving our parking pass. So make sure you go to the hotel first to get your keys and then hit up the complex office to get the pass. This two point process could definitely use some improvement.
