I highly recommend this property. Nicely appointed, great view, and excellent management staff that was available for all needs. I enjoyed its location, very walkable, and would book another stay.

Christmas at the Lazy Hummingbird

This was a great little getaway in a wonderful environment. The place was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed. Great views from the patio onto the ocean.

I had a great time. The property is so close to Santa Barbara and there is so much to see and do. I did lots of shopping and went to Santa Ynez for wine tasting. Had a wonderful stay!

Perfect deck for wine tasting

This is the perfect spot for a week vacation. The Sand apartment at Lazy Hummingbird is nicely decorated and had everything we needed. It was in perfect condition and super clean upon our arrival and it is beautiful, cozy and comfortable. The location was ideal for us as we were on a road trip from San Francisco to LA via Palm Desert and we wanted to visit Santa Barbara, UCSB, Montecito and Ventura. Local wine tasting on the deck is the best way to relax. Danielle and Martin from Montreal

The condo got GREAT ocean breezes and was decorated to perfection. Most comfortable bed ever and all amenities were taken care of. Management company was attentive and responsive. We would definitely stay there again!

Labor Day Weekend

This great was a bright airy beautiful little romantic condo. It was very clean . We enjoyed the software automation that reminded us of stay and gave us early check-in and late check-out options. The ocean view from the Patio was breath-taking. Very Comfortable stay with full amenities. The Summerland Cafe walking distance from the Seaglass Cove Cottage was a great spot for breakfast. Very friendly and good size portions. It was very hot this last weekend so it would have been a little nicer if there was air conditioning. The first night was amazing as we were the only ones checked in to the three plex. We enjoyed wine and cheese on the patio with candles lit. Very peaceful. Unfortunately Sunday night was a little tough to sleep as one of our neighbors stayed up past 3am and the older homes make a lot of noise. All in all we highly recommend this condo.

We pass through this area once a year and are always looking for a special place to stay. And we found it with Seaglass Cove! Everything was just perfect for my husband and me. It was tastefully decorated, clean, and well-maintained. The kitchen is well equipped and the refitted Tappan gas range was so fun to cook on. Fresh fruit and flowers welcomed us. We felt so pampered. The location is great for walking to the beach, to the town for lunch and shopping. We basked in the January sun on the private deck and often just relaxed there. The view of the ocean is spectacular! We enjoyed the owner and felt that she was easy to work with when making the arrangements. Seaglass Cove had recently been remodeled and so the pictures accurately show this charming rental. We hope to return again next year, but we are thinking that we will have to make reservations early as I am sure that many people will realize that this is a very special place. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us.

Good but noisy

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very clean and convenient. WiFi wasn’t working when we arrived, but we placed a call to Turnkeys support number and a tech came out within a couple of hours and rebooted the router and we were in business. Overall, we loved the place, however no mention was made that highway 101 is literally less than 100 yards from the house. Since the house is on a hill above the freeway (and the train tracks for the Surfliner commuter train) all the noise travels up to the deck where you might want to sit watching the ocean view. It was very distracting, to say the least. It was quiet inside the house, but outside, it was loud enough where you had to speak up to have a conversation. Too bad because otherwise this place would be nice to revisit, albeit at a much lower price.

NICE BUT TOO NOISY

The home was decorated very nicely and has a good vibe to it. The views are great and lots of cool stuff close by. However, that being said, the units are very close to one another, so if privacy is important, I would not recommend staying here. You can see guests making breakfast or dinner in their kitchen while you sit on the patio. Additionally, we stayed on the first floor and you could hear everything going on upstairs through the ceiling and upstairs open windows Footsteps, talking, music, etc.. Its not that the other guests were loud, but more to do with design and lack of soundproofing. We could also hear guests using the washer and dryer that was located just outside our bedroom. I called the management company and reported this to them in the morning. I told them we barley slept at all. I asked for a late courtesy check out in the afternoon and even though they had no guests coming in that day they denied my request. If you don't need privacy and can handle the noise stay here, but try to get a second floor unit!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the location and being able to walk to the beach and to a couple restaurants. The space is nicely decorated with definitely a beach-house feel. We loved having the balcony doors open with the ocean breeze coming into the unit. The furniture is comfortable. A few things that were disappointing: 1) The freeway noise is louder than we expected. So having the doors open or sitting on the porch was not as relaxing as we'd hoped. 2) We knew this was a multi-unit rental. However, we were surprised by the fact that we could hear the people next to us walking around while we were in the bedroom. It actually sounded like people were walking around upstairs, even though no one was in that unit. The fist night, the people next to us were walking around until 1:30 in the morning, which kept us awake in the bedroom. Fortunately they left after the first night and the next renters went to bed earlier. 3) All of the doors are swollen (assuming from the weather), so they are difficult to open and close. In fact, we had to climb the balcony to open the porch doors the first time, and then after that we could not close them all the way (which means we could not lock them), and each time it would take a lot of effort (by 2 of us) to open them. Felt like we were going to break the doors. The back door lock had been busted from the wall (like someone opened the door without unlocking the top hinge).

I had a great experience. It was nice and quiet. With the exception of it being a condo where you have people above you. You hear the walking and various noises above you. I stayed in the SAND unit. The one thing I was uncomfortable with are the window coverings. If someone is outside the unit, it is very easy for someone to look in on you, because the sides are not flush against the windows. A bit uncomfortable at night when you really cant see out but someone can see in. Other than that, the property was well maintained and comfortable.

The underside of seat was a mess and needed. Scrub, which I gave it. The patio door didn't lock and we get locked out at 11am, I thought checkout was noon. I later saw it was 10am, way to early for what we paid a night.

Relaxing Experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had a wonderful time at Lazy Hummingbird, I wish I could have stayed a little longer. We did have the fire alarm from the bedroom go off several times after taking a hot shower. We were also asked to throw in the towels in the washer and the trash. I would have preferred to have someone do that after we left. Other than that, we had a great relaxing time. My favorite part of the house was the balcony and the garden. I loved the fact that the garden was available for us to use, I will definitely take advantage of that next time we visit.
