Encantadora cabaña frente al río con impresionantes vistas de Susquehanna

Relájese en esta pintoresca cabaña que se encuentra directamente en el río Susquehanna. Regrese a un momento más simple y entre en la belleza y el encanto de esta casa de dos pisos con una gran cubierta envolvente desde la que puede ver águilas volando sobre el río. Camina hasta la orilla del agua y disfruta del río desde nuestro muelle. Pesque desde la orilla o use uno de nuestros 6 kayaks para explorar Susquehanna y sus exuberantes islas. La casa cuenta con 2 habitaciones privadas y 2 grandes áreas abiertas tipo loft que ofrecen varias camas para nuestros huéspedes (consulte las descripciones de las habitaciones a continuación para obtener una descripción general completa).

¡Todos los años, hemos seguido mejorando las comodidades! Hemos agregado un baño adicional y mejorado el baño existente. Se han agregado unidades de aire acondicionado / calefacción de sistema dividido en toda la casa para la comodidad de nuestros huéspedes. Un nuevo patio de concreto ha reemplazado al patio de piedra, por lo que es aún más cómodo pasar tiempo cerca del río. Hemos ampliado el tamaño de nuestro comedor, lo que permite un área de comedor aún más grande para nuestros huéspedes, al tiempo que ofrece impresionantes vistas del río.

Somos fáciles de llegar, justo al lado de 22/322 en Dauphin, a una corta distancia en automóvil de todas las atracciones del centro de Pensilvania (Centro de Harrisburg, Hershey Park, Gettysburg, Lancaster, etc.). La conveniente ubicación en Central PA es un lugar perfecto para reunirse con amigos y familiares de los estados vecinos. A solo 25 minutos del aeropuerto internacional de Harrisburg. Los servicios de Uber están disponibles en nuestra área en caso de que desee dejar su automóvil en casa.

Beautiful home and a spectacular view.

Took our 2 sons, daughter in law, and 5 grandchildren on a short family vacation. Everyone had a great time. The home was clean, stacked with all necessities needed. The scenery was awesome. The kids enjoyed every minute.

Wedding weekend

We stayed at the River House for a long weekend with extended family while in the area for a wedding at Manor at Mountain View. The location was ideal. The weather was hot (90s) but the covered porch with overhead fans, water views and adequate AC were all great for relaxing and catching up.

What a a great place to stay and fish or just jump in the river canoes kayaks just get your river on! Kids will love it and very safe flow on the river just beautiful! Lots of parking for drift boats and soo much outdoor space to enjoy its big but very cozy feels like your grandparents home you always want to come back too have no regrets renting this place kids old folks even wife will enjoy all the conveniences it’s got everything you would want. Shower products kitchen is tricked out with everything just bring clothes and some adult beverages and you’ll feel your home

Family Hershey trip

So happy we decided to rent this brb for our hershey park trip instead of a hotel. Everything about this property was great! Wonderful mesmerizing views and comfortable accommodations all in one! Pam was a great host and was able to meet all of our needs or questions we had during our stay. I highly recommend staying here, it meets the needs of anyone really, big groups/small groups, and its a quaint cottage surrounded with all the beauty in nature:)

Annual Spring Fishing Trip

The hosts are always very accomodating. This is my 8th year staying here for our Spring fishing trip. House is very clean. Nice porch to relax on. Large den to recap trip with friends or watch TV. Beds are comfy. Look forward to returning here every year!

Fantastic visit

The place is in great shape and has everything you could want. Lots of space with tables and chairs for eating. . Grill clean and working with extra propane. Kayaks for fun on the river and adirondack chairs for the "life guards" AKA parents. Lawn for kids to run around. AC worked great as well as TV - watched some golf and tennis. We will be back next year.Robyn

Fabulous retreat

Our family and friends stayed here for 3 nights while visiting local colleges. It was a wonderful retreat. We grilled overlooking the river and sat around the fire pit watching the sunset. The house had everything we needed and more. Pam was an excellent host and everything went very smoothly. We’s absolutely return.

I grew up Northwest of Pittsburgh in a small town surrounded by rivers and mountains. My family had a house in the woods, nestled in a hollow with a lovely creek running through the property. I spent my childhood outdoors, climbing trees, swimming in the river, and playing in the creek! I still love the outdoors (but no longer climb trees!) and have a house just down the road from this cottage. I have bees, chickens, and dogs, Daisy and Otis - a menagerie of furry friends that keep me busy and entertained. I am forever grateful to have my daughter, son-in-law, and my grandson living just 20 minutes away from me, and I get to enjoy them and their company often. I have been blessed with an amazing family and fabulous neighbors here on River Road and cannot imagine living my life anywhere else!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

When I built my own house in 2007 and first moved to the River Road area, I fell in love with this cottage when I would walk past it. It was of course owned at that time by someone else, but I thought about how lovely it would be to own it myself one day. The house was originally built in 1939 as a summer home for a Harrisburg family and is filled with character!
The woodwork throughout the house and fabulous deck out back intrigued me, and I knew it would be a great place to entertain. When it went up for sale in 2015, I made an offer on day one! I knew I could give this cottage what it needs - some time/attention, a little love, and fill it with people who would enjoy the river and the relaxing peace this cottage has to offer. I hope that you enjoy this cottage as much as I do!
