Second time I’ve stayed here and it’s great: location is perfect for a vacation to the north shore, the owner is super responsive, check in/out is easy and the cabin has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Highly recommend!

The cabin was cozy and was nice, I myself from the pictures thought the river was somewhat on the property and the cabin was stand alone not surrounded by other cabins. That being said for certain activities like running trails would be great.

We absolutely loved our stay at D’s cabin during our North Shore family vacation! Traveling as a family of four, we found the cabin to be the perfect size—cozy, comfortable, and just right for us. The nearby Baptism River access was stunning and gave us just the right touch of adventure. Our host was wonderfully helpful, even offering tips to help us try trout fishing with the kids. We also appreciated the cabin’s great location, close to Lutsen, beautiful state parks, and the charming town of Finland. Highly recommend this spot—thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Clean property that was in a great location to get around! Cute little store around the corner and "Our Place" had the best food right down the road. Owner was speedy to respond, checked on us midstay and the check in/check out process was smooth and easy to understand. Adorable farmers market on Thursday evenings in Finland right down the road. Beautiful place!

Cool little cabin!

Owner communicates very quickly! The cabin was a peaceful and cozy place to wind down after checking out nearby attractions during the day. Bed was very comfy. The couch isn’t a pullout, so I’m not sure how the cabin sleeps 4. I suppose if you have a small child in the bed with parents…or if someone sleeps in the lazy boy.

Upon arrival of our first ever Vrbo stay we found the property was very clean with a relaxing atmosphere. According to the listing the beds were 1 king and a pull out couch but it was just a couch. The blinds on the windows did not have an up and down function. This made for a lack of privacy in the bathroom. And the shower water temp. fluctuated between hot and cold. Other than that the cabin was an excellent stay. The host was easy to contact. The town of Finland was close by which made shopping easy. And the people we encountered were very pleasant. The location to the surrounding sights was ideal. Checking out was a snap, easy-peasy. My wife and I would definitely stay here again but for a longer time.

We enjoyed our stay. The only issue we had was the on demand hot water heater. It could not keep up with the shower water demand so we would get blasted with cold water.

Nice new cabin!

Obviously, this owner knows what it takes! It was an episode of "Vacation House Rules" enacted. Great king bed. Great technology, WiFi, tv, charging station all work very well. Everything you need as a couple on a get away stay.

Wonderful cabin stay

It was all around wonderful. The location was great, just a few miles from multiple SHT spurs, Tetteguche state park, waterfalls, and access to tons of hikes, waterfalls, beaches, and everything the north shore has to offer. The nearby coop was a really convenient. The cabin is very nice, very clean and comfy. Great touches throughout. All the amenities were great (a/c, wifi, smart tv, an incredible adjustable bed, fireplace, etc). Host was communicative and helpful. I hope to book again in the future! It would be great for all seasons.

Comfortable, cute cabin

After getting the door handle lock unfrozen (owner was super quick getting someone to help!) I was very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the interior of the cabin looked! The pictures on the VRBO site do not do this place justice - huge bed, full kitchen with gas stove, big couch & comfy recliner, Roku tv and electric fireplace. Bathroom is tiny but has full shower. The location is great, about 6 miles inland from Lake Superior/highway 61, grocery store, gas station and restaurant within a mile, and multiple state parks 15 min away. Really enjoyed our time here!

Cabin was super nice very clean, and had most of every day necessities! We appreciated they left the light on for us on our late arrival. Very cute, quiet and clean area. Easy check in. Perfect for a little getaway and sight seeing! Can’t wait to come back again!

Cozy cabin within minutes of the north shore and off the road to take you to the boundary waters. The fully adjustable bed was a bonus!

OUTDOORS:

The Baptism River is only steps away from the cabin.

Simply follow the trail out the back of the cabin over the small bridge. You will see a multi use trail called the day use “Picnic Area.” This space can be used by anyone including any guest. There are grills and picnic table to use for the day or just go for a short walk. Eventually the East Branch and West Branch combine at a “Y” and it is very beautiful.

Cabin to 1st Picnic area on the Baptism River is about 1 city block. If you walk to the “Y” it is about 3 city blocks.

Bring your bug spray and see the beautiful river for a walk or the day. We took several pictures of this area and are shared in the photos of our Airbnb pictures. Enjoy!
