Rats in the walls

My parents were in the garage bedroom and didn’t sleep all night as they could hear rats moving in the walls/floors and there was a terrible smell in the closet. They could not remain in the room after that and had to have my aunt sleep on the couch so my parents could have her room. We were there celebrating their 50th anniversary and this was the worst experience for them.

Relaxing Beach Getaway!

Super relaxing and cozy house! It was perfect for my bookish friends and me to spend a quick weekend getaway together! We visited some local bookstores, got tea, chocolate and lunch before settling at the house to sit on the porch to listen to the waves and read our books! Only thing was there were some bugs/beetles in the garage/play room area and the bedroom down there. However we did understand this is a fairly common thing for the coast.

We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and in a beautiful location. The only issue we had was in asking if we could check in at 2 instead of 4 we were told yes twice that it wasn’t a problem as long as housekeeping was finished. We had to call back about 3 minutes later to leave a phone number we were told that we could not check in early. It was just frustrating to be told yes and then suddenly we were told no.

Bring your binoculars!

This is a very cozy, family friendly, spacious home with amazing ocean views! No need to pay for whale watching as you can do it from the second or third deck. The home is close to shopping, restaurants, and beach access. It has the best bar in town. Make your own drinks, open the garage door, play pool and ping pong with beautiful ocean views. Recommendations; bring extra paper towels, Clorox wipes, Ziploc bags, salt and pepper etc (basics). The home was well stopped with towels, linens etc. The refrigerator did leak a lot and I spoke with management about it. We put a towel down as there were a few near slip misses but then the towel became a trip hazard. Over all a wonderful stay!

Totally Disappointing Experience

Very steep driveway up to home. Walked into the home and found water on the floor in front of non-working refrigerator, musty smell in basement, no a/c (Sent message to host a week before asking about a/c - no response until rental week was basically over) - home did not meet expectations of the home as represented in its photos on line. Did not feel comfortable walking on the wood deck. It is accurately stated that the ocean view is beautiful. Tried to call both host and the company - no answer to phone number that is supposed to be 24/7. We packed up our perishable food, suitcases, locked the door and left. Drove into Lincoln City and rented hotel accommodations for our week vacation. We are requesting some rebate from our full payment made in advance but to date no luck. We left phone messages for host and VRBO telling them we left the property and would not be returning.

Girls Getaway

I understand this is a rental and things happen but I was disappointed that the railing outside the kitchen was damaged. This was very unsightly and could have been temporarily patched better. They attached what looked like a 4x8 sheet of plywood and it stuck up way above the railing. Additionally the TV on the lower level was not connected to the network or TV server so it was useless along with the one in the bedroom by the kitchen. The DVD drive was sticking out and we couldn't close it. These are minor but very frustrating things when your spending so much to rent a home. If they don't work, they shouldn't be there. Overall these things would not detour me from renting this home again because the size, location, and all the amenities were perfect for our Girls Getaway.

House with very nice ocean view.

Nice house with nice ocean view. Game room is a plus. However walk to beach is not easy, especially for little kids. The beach can be very windy as well.

This house is amazing! The pictures do not do it justice. We really enjoyed our time there. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the internet was SUPER slow! That was the ONLY issue though. The house was very clean and comfy!

The perfect family home

We have 4 kids and this home was perfect for the 6 of us. We all enjoyed the game room downstairs. Good luck beating my high score on pinball; I think 88 million should stand the test of time.
