Cabina Nordegg escape de Kim

El alquiler de un lugar para pasar un par de noches o una semana puede ser algo más que una habitación de hotel con dos camas tamaño queen. Puede ser un lugar que tiene un ambiente cálido, cocina totalmente equipada, y todas las comodidades del hogar. Puede ser una cabaña de dos dormitorios, con camas tamaño queen, y una zona de estar con un sofá cama para dormir cómodamente seis personas. Después de un día increíble, senderismo, pesca, quading, andar en bicicleta, o simplemente leer un libro en la terraza de 700 pies cuadrados, que puede pasar en frente de la chimenea de leña, o también gastarlo sentado en la terraza, disfrutando de la limpieza aire de la montaña.

Cabina de Kim se encuentra a unos 200 km al oeste de Red Deer, a lo largo de la carretera David Thompson (o la carretera # 11), en el norte de Nordegg Barrio. Esta zona es rica en historia, y ya que no es un destino turístico, es tranquilo y hermoso. La zona ofrece visitas guiadas excepcionales de la Ciudad Fantasma de Nordegg y el sitio minero. La cabaña del Kim también se encuentra lo suficientemente cerca de Parque Nacional de Banff, y los Campos de Hielo Colombia, que no sería difícil de conducir y volver en un día. A lo largo de la carretera David Thompson, hay infinidad de excursiones de un día, y hay Abraham Lake, que es impresionante. Si no quieres ir muy lejos para una caminata, sólo por la puerta lateral y por la carretera un poco retirado es Coliseum montaña, una excursión de un día increíble.

Nice place - but we thought overpriced. $750/night would justify more amenities/conveniences. For example, no shampoo or body wash, no hair dryers. Had to take your own garbage when you leave. No place for 4 people to comfortably sit in the main room except at the eating table. Too few coffee filters. No welcome package of wine/treats.

Nice accommodation in a great location!

Cabin was very nice and cozy, all the necessary amenities were provided. Close to the Coliseum hiking trail which we did and would highly recommend. Had a very quiet and enjoyable stay. If you are looking for a nice getaway not too far out of the city we would recommend Kim's Cabin.

Quiet retreat from the city

Booked our stay for a retreat from the city and to celebrate our anniversary. We've been going to the Nordegg area for over 40 years and now that we're older having a cabin to stay at rather than tenting is our preferred method of visiting the area. The cabin is very well appointed and finished, as noted in other reviews. It has everything you'd need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We especially enjoyed sitting in the large great room and enjoying the fire after spending a day out fishing. There are numerous trails and places to explore in the area and we keep finding new places every time we return back to the area. The setting is very peaceful and quiet. If you're into star gazing, the night sky is a wonder to behold and can be enjoyed from the wide surrounding deck or sitting in the great room, without all of the light pollution of the city.

Excellent experience.

Booked the property for a weekend getaway, found the cabin to be in excellent condition and as pictured/listed. Everything was clean and well maintained. The hosts were easy to communicate with via email and we ran into no problems.

Great cabin away from it all

The property had everything we required for a relaxing family weekend. The location and surrounding area is peaceful & beautiful. Highly recommend visiting Abraham lake, it is majestic. We saw multiple deer, a chipmunk, a few coyote & an owl. Great trip!

Quick Weekend Get Away

Our party included two couples and two young children for a quick two night getaway. It was a really late notice booking and the owner was more than accommodating in getting the arrangements made for us to stay the weekend and explore the Nordegg area. The cabin had plenty of room for the kids and the wrap around deck provided them some additional space to get outside and play within eye sight. The kitchen has everything you could possibly require to prepare meals and the BBQ on the deck was excellent. Indoor wood fire place was one of the best I have seen, but the outdoor fire pit area is where we spent our evenings socializing. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this to others.

Excellent quite vacation away from it all

This cabin was perfect for our 5 days out of the city. Tons of nearby hiking trails and amazing views right from the dining table. The cabin is well kept, clean and perfect for two couples plus dogs. We would definitely stay here again.

Very relaxing

We were a party of 4 adults and 2 infants and we stayed for 2 nights. We were there to socialize, hike and mountain bike. There was plenty of room for the two pack and plays and the two bedrooms were a perfect size. The kitchen is one of the best equipped I have ever seen in a rental property. There is a gorgeous wood burning stove that gave off plenty of heat and the decoration, both inside and out, is of a very high standard and exactly what a cabin should look like. The wrap around deck is massive and the area is very peaceful. The Nordegg area is very popular for ATV users, yet we did not see or hear any during our stay. Morning coffee on the deck was totally silent. There is a lovely fire pit area, but we did not get a chance to enjoy it due to windy conditions. Highly recommended.

Beautiful home away from home!

We had a girls weekend in Nordegg and rented Kim's cabin. We couldn't have asked for a better cabin, beautiful, spacious, and so bright! All you need is clothing and food and the cabin is set once you walk in the door. We can't wait to got back!

Amazing stay!!!

Having never rented a cabin before, I was a little nervous but being able to communicate with the owners, it was so reassuring. Everything was very simple from check in to check out. It was all laid out clearly, leaving little questions! The cabin itself is gorgeous and equipped with everything you could possibly need and then a couple extras. My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful night the first night together playing a couple of the games they had out there for guests. The second night we had a couple friends join us and we had more than enough space to accommodate our party comfortably. In the back there is a great fire pit which we enjoyed the majority of our second night there. This property is a great for basically anybody, whether it's just a romantic trip or group trip. Very close to the mountains and trails! Loved the scenery. Tip.**If you prefer firmer pillows, bring one with you! The pillows there are all fluffy. ;)
