We had a wonderful stay in Brookline. It was very clean, bright and the snacks were a great addition. Getting the key from the lock box was easy and the book with details on local restaurants, things to do, how to use the house tv, map for the T and any other important information was included. The host was also helpful in parking ideas before we arrived which helped us immensely. I would definitely stay again.

Overall disappointing

Upon arrival at our rental we were overwhelmed by 3 flights of steep stairs which made carrying suitcases very difficult. We appreciated the snacks that were left for us and the place had a nice setup. The place appeared clean, but the comforter that was used on the sofa sleeper smelled musty and unclean. The bedroom with the king sized bed was located right above a busy intersection. My husband and I got very little sleep due to cars, buses, dump trucks, and people talking outside throughout the night. The listing claims that it is a peaceful location, but that was not the case. We felt it was best if we found other accommodations. We contacted the owner to tell of the issues and to request a partial refund for our stay since we only stayed one night.

We went to Harvard graduation. We did not have internet for ALL days. We were planning to watch the commencement online and we could not because there were no internet. We called and received the regular advise: connect and disconnect. Very disappointing.

Unhappy Surprise

We booked our stay based on the reviews and location.Three floors of filthy narrow stairs to climb to get to our unit.The unit was cramped, and dark with dirty rugs and poor lighting.One of the two bedrooms was a good size and offered sunshine, Three winding stairs to enter the kitchen.Dated deep tub with shower making it very difficult using a cane for assistance.Stars if Boston did move us to a very nice unit several miles away, only after about ten phone calls throughout our first day of our vacation, which was overwhelming and frustrating.

Great apartment in a great location

We enjoyed everything about this apartment! The location was great, surrounded by restaurants and cafes. The apartment was sunny and the beds were really comfortable. The big couch in the living room provided a great place to hang out as a family. The snacks were a nice extra touch which we appreciated, having traveled from out of state.

School vacation from Maine

This was a great place to stay to bring two kids to Boston for Aquarium and Museum adventures. The ability to have a parking spot to drive into town but then use the T in order to get around was perfect. The place was perfect to allow everyone their own space after busy days. The kitchen was well equipped and the Village store right below us had any little things we forgot as well as milk & eggs for breakfast. The Wifi & tv's worked flawlessly and the place was clean. The sheets and towels were all well taken care of and we're fussy clean people so that made us comfortable. There are multiple play grounds walking distance that we will plan to spend time in if we return and I would definitely would choose this place again. The prompt communication from the property manager is the main reason I would choose to stay here again. She was there for every question and that was comforting and made things go smoothly. I would book this place again with confidence.

Fantastic apartment

We stayed here to tour colleges in the area with our daughter. The location was great, easy quick walk to the T, safe location and lots of restaurant and shops within walking distance. Beds were comfortable and the apartment was very clean. The owners were very responsive to our inquiries and super helpful. Would definitely stay again when in Boston..

Great apartment!

I came to the area to care for my adult daughter post-surgery. The location to the medical center was excellent. Despite the area being hit by a few storms, everything I needed was a pleasant, easy walking distance from the place. Restaurants, grocery stores, cafes, public transit...There are a lot of pretty steep and narrow stairs to this third floor apartment! (I believe the description mentions this). As an active older person, I liked the stairs :) Downstairs neighbors are smokers, which is out of anyone's control but theirs. There were a couple of instances when I could smell it in the apt.Kitchen was well-outfitted for my needs (I did do a bit of cooking-the stovetop has three very hot burners and one that was more "easy-going"). I didn't use the oven. The dishwasher worked great! The microwave was a lot more powerful than what I am used to, but it worked excellently. Really, everything worked well and without much fuss. We found the beds comfortable. The natural light is fantastic. There was a bit of construction going on that did start pretty early, but it's an urban area so to be expected :) Laundry was easily accessible and worked great (coin-op). We did rent the parking. Brookline does not allow overnight street parking, so this provided peace of mind. The access alley isn't really set up for snow-removal, so it was a little dicey after the storms, but it was so convenient.Communication with the office was fantastic - super responsive and very pleasant.

Great visit

We flew up for thanksgiving weekend to visit our daughter who lives in Brookline. This place was perfect with comfortable beds and great location. Very clean, close to T and bus, and pretty neighborhood. We’ll be back.

Clean, modern place in older building, busy location

Communication with the property managers was generally excellent. Answered questions before the stay and were available by phone and messaging. They even contacted us about some clothes left by previous renters found by the cleaners, which is a nice thing in case you leave something behind. Apartment is clean, updated and comfortable. Beds were fine although some of the bed linens were stained and pillowcases look rumbled as if they had been slept on. Located in an old building with steep stairs, so not the easiest for older folks or folks with impaired mobility. On a busy street and close to the fire and police departments, so quite noisy day and night - bring earplugs. Air conditioning worked well as did the shower and appliances. There is no light at the entry way, so getting the key and doing the door code at night in the dark upon arrival was difficult. Close to the T, a variety of restaurants, cafes, a convenience store, and a dispensary. Setup was good for us two friends as the bedrooms are separate. If stairs and noise are okay with you, this is a great place to stay with good communication from hosts.

Great Space to Stay

The space was perfect. Very close to Boston where I needed to attend a conference for a few days. It was very clean and had all the amenities. Communication was great and I would stay again when I’m in the area.

Quiet location in the heart of it all

We very much enjoyed our stay in Brookline. The property manager was attentive and responsive. The location was centrally located amongst some gorgeous historical architecture. We were also a quick walk to town with many amenities. When we wanted to go a bit further out, Uber was there in a heartbeat. The apartment was spacious with plenty of room for the 3 of us, but could comfortably sleep a few more. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We would recommend as well as stay again.

Great location

Communication was excellent. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The neighborhood is great. Lots of good restaurants right there. The apartment is on the third floor and there’s no elevator. We managed okay anyway. Overall it worked very well for us.
