A Piece of Heaven

This property is absolutely gorgeous. The manager was very helpful. Though the distances to Sorrento and Positano are short, the winding roads and traffic make the trips longer than they otherwise would be and rather pricey by taxi.

What a wonderful holiday ...

What a wonderful holiday and an absolutely fantastic villa! You cannot imagine before you go how beautiful the views will be from the balcony, gardens and terraces. It was just magical to wake up every morning to the stunning views and the peaceful location. The villa is perfect and fully equipped for your every need and Bruno was the perfect host from coming and finding us in the middle of the night when we got lost trying to reach the villa to advising us on places to go and things to see! Highly recommended - thank you Bruno, we hope to be back again soon!

I normally don’t leave reviews, but this villa deserves one. The home was pristine—absolutely perfect—and offered one of the most breathtaking views you could ever imagine. The location was also ideal, just a short distance from Positano and Sorrento, making it easy to explore the Amalfi Coast.What truly set the experience apart was our host, Bruno. He was extraordinary. I’ve traveled all over the world, and Bruno was by far the finest host I’ve ever had. By the end of our stay, he felt like part of our family.From arranging drivers to recommending restaurants, Bruno was like having a personal concierge available around the clock. Perfect destination!

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at the lovely Villa Miragalli. Bruno was very attentive to our every need. (And now everyone in the family is using WhatsApp- haha, Bruno) We spent a day together on his fine boat touring Capri and the Amalfi Coast...which is a must do. He is an excellent and attentive host and guide. He also arranged drivers and a moment’s notice when we didn’t want to drive our own cars, arranged a private limoncello garden tour and also an in-villa private chef. The location is excellent to tour the Amalfi Coast. But be sure to spend some time enjoying this special property. You can lounge in the beautiful pool and watch ships pulling into Positano port. Several local restaurants and markets are walking distance away and locals were very welcoming. Highly recommend!

Under the Sorrento Sun

We were 7 women who stayed at the magical "Villa Miragali" from May 28- June 3, 2011. It was an amazing experience under the Sorrento Sun". We absolutely loved and enjoye every minute of our stay, from the moment we met Bruno to the beauty of the villa. The house is comfortable, cosy, convenient, and spacous. It easily had room for each of us to find our own little corner in the "sun." The views rendered us speechless- we kept saying " OMG " or 'ODM" in Italian. We pinched ourselves each day. The location was perfect. We had trouble leaving the villa to visit other places. We swam, read, chilled, drank and ate while looking over the vistas. it was also a perfect location for touring the coastline all the way to Ravello, Capri, and beautiful Sorrento. Great restaurants, from simple to perfect. Our favourite was home cooking wiht fresh produce from the wharf and market. Bruno, our host, was delightful and very helpful, taking care to accomodate us all. We might be back home but our hearts and mind are still at Villa Maragali I have recommended the villa to many friends and definitely intend to come back with my family and friends. One of the best holidays ever. Monette

What an unbelieveably rel...

What an unbelieveably relaxing week we had with two of our best friends at Villa Miragalli in Colli di Fontanelle. A much needed stay in paradise after running around Venice, Florence and Rome for 8 days; in fact my wife said on the first morning while standing on the balcony that she thought she was in heaven! Italy is a beautiful country and this villa might be in the most beautiful spot of all. The views are breathtaking (pictures really don't do them justice) and always changing with the clouds, sun and weather. We spent far more time than originally planned just "hanging out" there, but after arriving, we could not think of any reason not to simply spend most of our days reading, playing ping pong, jumping in the pool, enjoying the nice weather, eating good Italian food, drinking local wines and staring out at the magnificent views -- maybe on our next visit we'll finally get to Pompei and Capri. No matter where you go, it doesn't get any better than this spot. And if you do decide to leave, it's very convenient to all the towns/villages of the Amalfi Coast. I don't know when we will return to Italy, but when we do, it will definitely be to come back to Villa Miragalli. Bruno is a great host and and more importantly a really nice guy. He was always willing to help and always available if we needed anything -- like when we accidentally shut off the solar panels that provide hot water. And Colli di Fontanelle is a great change of pace from the bigger cities -- very small village with friendly, helpful people, but all the supplies/food/wine you need just a 1/2 mile walk from the villa. Most beautiful setting I have ever encountered created perfect family vacation!

My parents were generous to take all their kids and significant others on a vacation for THEIR 60th birthdays! We spent weeks reviewing and surfing the internet through many over-priced or impersonal villa rental options throughout Italy before landing on Villa Miragalli. We read the reviews and as beautiful as the Villa was online, what spoke to us was how highly people spoke about Bruno the owner. We are the type of people who care more about relationships and the personality of the owner than the write-up online. We rolled the dice and came up big!! We flew from Minneapolis,NYC and Detroit to Rome drove two hours to the Villa and open the gates to the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!! The property was spectacular in every way. The grounds were perfectly manicured, overlooking L'Galli islands which are two little tiny islands in the sea that are so picturesque. Many people dock their boats around them on weekends to enjoy the swimming and sunshine. We sat on the deck and watched from luxury. Upon arrival, Bruno had the fridge stocked by request with wine, beer and Italian delicacies. We opened vino, made the most incredible meat and cheese plate and began the best vacation of our lives. We had grand plans of visiting lots of sites and towns nearby but many days we opted not to leave the heaven that was the Villa. When we did go out to another town, we were well situated near Positano, Praiano, Sorrento and more. One day we took the bus to Sorrento and then hopped the train to Pompeii. Super easy and affordable. Other days Bruno was wonderful to have his friends taxi service get us from place to place in an 8-person van. Other days we did things like boat rides or wine tours and Bruno was so kind to make phone calls and help us navigate the language barrier. One day he even took us out to Capri on his own beautiful boat!! Like I said it was tough to leave the Villa - we stayed in and cooked in the great kitchen and outdoor grill 5 nights! Why leave the view, the grounds and the people you love! We slept well in our very updated, clean rooms. There was washer/dryer, cable TV - we even stayed up til 3am to watch the NBA Finals!!! When we did go out, we loved Stellalucia which is walking distance up the street, and the people who run the town market did everything to understand our English frquests and offered us free espresso shots. The town, the people, the Villa and Bruno made it the best vacation our family has ever taken!!

Paradise!!

This property exceeded our expectations!! The views were astounding and we canceled plans to just stay put at this magical place! Bruno was an incredible host going above and beyond to help with any need we had. The pool was our favorite spot and the home was decorated so beautifully and supplied with every amenity needed. A great location above the hustle and bustle but close enough to get your fill of shopping or sightseeing! We can’t wait to return!

Most peaceful, most relaxing ever

It has been my 3rd stay in Villa Miragalli, I'm sure I'm coming back again. Owner and staff are amazing and most helpful. Although summer is best timing to rent, the property is equiped and prepared to be the best place all year long.

stunning....

the pictures promised an outstanding villa with more than outstanding views... we had landed in paradise.. what a beautifully appointed villa … views, gardens and pool were unforgettable. The villa .. bedrooms & ensuite spacious, comfortable, good AC , kitchen well equipped and the outdoor dining area and BBQ were used endlessly .. nice lounge and dining room we did not use.. high level Daily housekeeping is included and took a wee bit of getting used to having someone there daily cleaning but the place is pristine in every way. Bruno was the perfect owner answering numerous tedious queries before we arrived and providing services ( chef, boat trip, restaurant bookings) while we were there … highly recommend Bruno's boat trip to Capri . ..the six of us had a ball would love to return one day thank you

great place

We stayed at Villa Miragalli in January 2017. It was our second visit to the villa and we will most likely visit again in the future. The house is in good conditions, the views are amazing, and Bruno is a very good host. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Amalfi area.

Villa Miragalli-Truly Breath Taking

It is not often I use the term "breathtaking", because there is so little in life that truly takes my breath away. Villa Miragalli did just that though. Due to a delayed flight, we got in at 12 AM to the Villa, and Bruno was there to greet us. He knew we were hungry and had a meal for 11 from a local restaurant ready for us on the table. It was dark, and we couldn't see yet how spectacular the villa was. We ate, and went to bed. Early the next morning, I awoke to my kids and grandkids all saying "oh my god!" This was my second time to Villa Miragalli, so I knew what to expect, but still, as I got up and went out side, I was blown away again at how beautiful this setting is. And yes, it took my breath away again, just like the last time. You cannot ask for a better host in Bruno. He is always available to help make your stay better. The best thing about Villa Miragalli is how quiet it is. After a hectic day of shopping in Positano and the crazy traffic it has to offer, coming back to the solitude and views of Villa Miragalli was like stepping back into a dream. A good bottle of wine, antipasti, some bread on the deck next to the infinity pool, and you have little desire to go anywhere, because it just can't get any better than this villa. For foodies, the fact that Don Alfonso is just ten minutes away in St. Agata is an added bonus. A three star Michelin restaurant with 25k bottles of wine in their cellar, you cannot go wrong. Besides Don Alfonso, there are a couple good restaurants just up the road in Colli di Fontannelle within walking distance. I have to give Bruno props for running such an amazing villa, but there is also a little piece of me that wants to keep it secret, because we all know how really nice places tend to get so popular, and can't get back in. But he is such a nice man, and the villa is so spectacular, it would be like trying to hide the vacation equivalent of the statue of David from the world-so there it is folks. One tip-get up every morning for the sunrise, make your coffee, grab your camera, and go out on the deck. Get comfortable and watch mother nature put on a show you won't soon forget. The sun rising over the Amalfi coast, with all the clouds sliding down the mountain sides, the tangerine skies, the purple Mediterranean below, WOW. Oh, and don't forget to breath while your at it!

A glimpse of paradise

We had a fabulous time at this fantastic property in the most spectacular setting. Bruno (owner) made us feel very welcome and was available to help us when we needed. The location and views from the villa are wonderful from sunrise to sunset. If ever you needed a glimpse of paradise, this is it. Villa Miragalli

Thanks so much to Bruno for everything he did to make our stay a memorable one. We had a fabulous time! The property was out of a movie with all kinds of places to sit back read, rest, swim or enjoy the 180 degree view of the Amalfi coast. We did it all plus having a 4hr dinner prepared and served, a private car with room for eight to tour the coast one day and Sorrento another, a private boat ride around Capri and along the Amalfi coast with Bruno's guidance. We celebrated two 50th wedding anniversaries and a birthday. We will talk about this trip for yeas to come!

Family holiday

This villa is an excellent choice for a family gathering. There is plenty of space to relax, swim, sit, enjoy the beautiful views, share stories and food together. There is also enough room to lose yourself at the villa and escape your party/group when you need some time alone. The village is so friendly and welcoming, with a great little supermarket and family run pizzeria at the top of the hill (10 minute up hill walk, very pleasant - even the dogs are friendly) however if you enjoy a good cup of tea, bring your own tea bags as the supermarket ones are very weak. The prices of food and eating out locally were really reasonable at around 25 euros each for a good meal with wine. All the food and produce was delicious. I would suggest a Visitors directory be provided at the Villa to improve visitor experience with where to find butchers, bakers, chemist etc as we had to find these by chance. I would also highly recommend a car, although driving is hair-raising, it is a great way of seeing more of the area.

Family holiday

This villa is an excellent choice for a family gathering. There is plenty of space to relax, swim, sit, enjoy the beautiful views, share stories and food together.
