Lejos del ruido y el concreto del centro de la ciudad y ubicado a pocas cuadras de la vibrante calle principal de Vancouver, venga a disfrutar de nuestra nueva casa de huéspedes de 2 dormitorios y 2 baños con un gran patio ubicado en medio de hermosos jardines en una tranquila calle arbolada. La casa de huéspedes Buttercup tiene capacidad para 4 personas y damos la bienvenida a familias que viajan con niños o mascotas pequeñas (háganoslo saber al momento de la reserva, ya que pueden aplicarse restricciones). Estamos ubicados a 3 km del centro ya solo 4 cuadras de la estación de metro King Edward con línea directa al centro de Vancouver, al Centro de Convenciones y al Aeropuerto Internacional de Vancouver (YVR). La línea de autobús a UBC está a solo 2 cuadras de distancia y estamos a 20 minutos a pie de VGH, hospitales de niños y mujeres. Estacionamiento fuera de la calle también está disponible para su automóvil.

Buttercup guesthouse es completamente nuevo y está impecablemente diseñado y decorado con todas las comodidades y servicios del hogar. Ofrecemos una cocina totalmente equipada, instalaciones de lavandería, artículos de baño y ducha; HDTV, internet inalámbrico (WIFI), Netflix y teléfono fijo con llamadas locales gratuitas. Se proporcionan dos habitaciones con cómodas camas tamaño queen, junto con una trona para bebé, parque infantil / cuna, área de cambio para bebés, monitor para bebés y una cama plegable para esa persona adicional, si es necesario.

Awesome Vancouver Laneway House

James and Paula have a wonderfully comfortable laneway house which provided a home away from home shortly after our permanent arrival in Vancouver. Every part of the house has been carefully considered - comfortable beds, bright bathrooms and stocked kitchen. There were also the delicious baked treats upon our arrival. 5 Stars. Highly recommend!!

Great location

Location was excellent nice neighborhood unfortunately there was construction two houses down so no sleeping in they started at 7am and at times made the place shake Chairs and sofa were uncomfortable way too low and couch cushion pretty much done not a great place if you have knee issues Host was great and loved the muffins and fruit on check in Place was not scent free so not great if you have allergies it may have been due to previous renter leaving heavily scented eye bags stuck inbetween wall and bed which I later discovered but couldn’t get rid of scent entirely Overall the location was the best and the place is really cute

Simply the Best

This is our 5th time staying at Buttercup Cottage and highly recommend. It has a lovely private patio, the beds are very comfortable, kitchen fully equipped, great neighborhood with an abundance of great restaurants near by.

The BEST Hosts!

The Hosts of this lovely property are amazing. They are friendly, kind, detail oriented, professional, respectful and communicated with me exceptionally well. They have an in-depth touristy binder filled with restaurant guides to tourist guides for just about anything that Vancouver offers. They are available for questions while providing their guests privacy. The home is exactly as described, and the neighborhood is fabulous. Tall tree lined streets close to shopping, restaurants and easy to get anywhere. Just lovely!

The vacation home is in a great location. 20 minute drive from everywhere! 10 minute walk to QE park. 5 Minute walk to our new favourite cafe - "The Mighty Oak". The Buttercup Guest House was perfect; our host was very accomodating! Couldn't ask for a better experience !!!

Wonderful Stay!

We were so glad to have found the Buttercup Guest House while we stayed in Vancouver to visit family. It ticked all the boxes we were looking for (walkable to groceries and restaurants, transit access, a separate space for our baby). Our hosts were at reach to answer any questions and followed up to make sure we had everything we needed. We would absolutely stay again!

Buttercup guest house, home away from home!

Hosts were amazing, communication on point. Any questions answered very quickly. Welcomed with homemade muffins. It met all my needs for the month stay I had there. Felt like a little house of my own. Ready to cook with spices and baking products. Although the area comes with phenomenal restaurants and cafes! Felt safe and cozy! Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending!

Great 2 months in Vancouver

Buttercup Cottage was a perfect place to stay while visiting Vancouver. The 2 months we stayed, the weather was perfect, our hosts were gracious and helpful in providing tips on places to see and bike routes to explore. No need for a car, as bus, metro and bike routes are close by. It was a home away from home for us. Perfect stay!

So easy to get anywhere from here by public transport. Great walking, biking, aquatic centre, all nearby. House was great. Everything we needed.

A wonderful home away from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Butternut house. James and Paula were gracious hosts who provided all the amenities needed. The house was immaculate with great appliances, all utensils and well stoked with cleaning and household products. The location is terrific, on a quiet lane, in a lovely neighbourhood close to everything, including the skytrain. First rate in every respect.

Beautiful place for a month long stay

Best location in Vancouver

This property is gorgeous and the location is absolutely amazing. It's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city but steps away from Skytrain and the vibrant hubbub of Main Street. It's also a walk or bike ride from Granville Street, Granville Market and 4th Avenue. Queen Elizabeth park makes for a nice daily walk and bike paths are everywhere! The court yard in the back of the laneway house has a beautiful seclusion with tables and chairs and a barbeque for outdoor cooking. The kitchen is more than adequate and had everything we needed. Each of the two bedrooms has a bathroom. Plenty of room for three adults and a pooch! The owners are lovely and accommodated our every need. Highly recommend!!!!!

Wonderful place!

I was very pleased with my stay at James and Paula's house in every way. It was quiet and comfortable and had all the conveniences you'd ever need. With Covid restrictions, I felt very safe being able to stay in such a clean place, plus I was able to have my dog with me. The patio is a real bonus, especially since it's surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The neighbourhood is fantastic to walk around and is close to great parks and restaurants and stores on Main.

Wonderful Vancouver Guest House

The Buttercup Guest House was the best rental accommodation we have stayed in. It was very well situated in a lovely neighbourhood and very close to the Hillcrest recreational facility and Queen Elizabeth Park as well as near numerous restaurants and shops on Main Street. The Guest House itself was extremely well appointed with every possible item one would need to make the stay comfortable. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained and the owner was very approachable and accommodating. We strongly recommend this site to other potential guests. Thank you James and Paula for a wonderful stay.

Totally perfect!

James and Paula's place was exactly what we were looking for during our stay in Vancouver. Perfect location, we couldn't have ask for more. Pet friendly, great neighborhood, felt very safe. 5 stars in every possible way!

James and Paula are super hosts - in every way. From our first email contact and throughout our stay they have gone out of their way to make our stay very comfortable and welcoming! We really appreciated all their kindnesses! The Buttercup is a beautiful little home in a really fantastic neighbourhood. Great access to the Canada line so easy to get here when arriving at the airport. There is also great bus service on both Cambie and Main so being able to easily get around the city is a bonus. I would absolutely, without any reservations, highly recommend a stay at the Buttercup!

Amazing laneway house in a quiet Vancouver neighborhood, with easy access to attractions

My wife, 2.5-year-old son, golden retriever, and I stayed in James and Paola’s lovely laneway home for a little over a month. We absolutely loved our stay! The house itself is well-designed, with plenty of room for our little guy to play, read, and do puzzles. James and Paola generously shared toys and games for our son to play with. The patio area was a nice oasis, it was lovely to enjoy meals out there, and there is a nice amount of privacy. The kitchen is well-furnished, the beds are comfortable, and the house has nice ventilation and natural lighting. We also appreciated the office space, since both my wife and I had to do work a bit remotely. The neighborhood is quiet, yet nicely located to access Vancouver’s attractions. There are several parks, both large and small, within walking distance, and a Translink subway stop is also very nearby. Just a few blocks away, Main St has lots of great restaurants, coffee shops, and other attractions, too. Our favorite spots were The Fish Counter, Toshi Sushi, Slickity Jim’s, and 49th Parallel Coffee. We also loved walking to the farmer's market in Riley Park. If you’re into bicycling, there is a Mobi bike share station several blocks north, and there are lots of nice neighborhood bikeways that can take you into town. In addition to the Translink subway, the bus services on Main and Cambie were frequent and quick, and the transit card works seamlessly on all of the transit services. One other thing to mention: the stairs are a bit steep, so if you have trouble with stairs, fair warning.

Charming guest house in beautiful neighborhood

This was our second stay at the Buttercup Guest House and this summer we stayed for an entire month. The house is charming and everything you can imagine was provided. The king size bed in the downstairs bedroom is very comfy. The owners live on the property and make themselves available if needed but most of the time the cottage is extremely private. It has a small patio off the kitchen/living room with a great grill. The property is within walking distance to grocery store, restaurants, shopping etc.We travel with our two miniature schnauzers and this property works very well for those with pets. We have rented many other VRBOs but this is by far our favorite,
