Después de pasar las vacaciones en los Outer Banks durante casi 30 años, los propietarios diseñaron Show Boat con un plano de planta abierto lleno de luz, con grandes espacios comunes y habitaciones, ubicadas en un lugar apartado que bordea el campo de golf y la reserva natural boscosa, pero aún a pie o Distancia en bicicleta a las playas.

Casi todas las habitaciones se abren a una terraza con vistas al campo de golf, la piscina y los jardines. El exuberante paisaje proporciona una sensación de santuario.

Kitty Hawk tiene una ubicación céntrica que permite a los huéspedes experimentar todo lo que ofrece Outer Banks. No se sentará en el notorio tráfico de cambio a lo largo del día. Eso es un gran ahorro de tiempo y estrés allí. Outside side is torn off of large sections of home. Last year and this still bad. Living room carpet needs replacing, master bedroom slmd stains. Living room ceiling needs help all the seams coming about just looks bad. Pool is very nice just watch out for flying golf balls. Hot tub older but works well feels great.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Show Boat has seen better days. It needs better upkeep. Doors were swollen and we could not lock them. Some were difficult to Open/Close. Hot Tub was truly Luke Warm Tub, never heated up. Stove Gas Griddle and back burner were broken. Ice maker did not work. Kitchen sink had a leaking faucet and leaking pipes underneath. Called a plumber. Home needed service every single day. Repairs may happen some time in the future not for us. A beautiful home, comfortable beds and large rooms. Living room furnishing has seen better days. Wouldn't know any of this from the pictures. House could use painting and power wash. Repairmen were super nice.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Much of the property seemed quite outdated and not nearly as clean as expected. One of the eyes of the stove as well as the skillet on the stove didn’t work. The entry door where the code is entered is very difficult to lock and unlock as you have to pull the door with a ton of force to get it to lock/unlock. One day, it was jammed and we were unable to get back in. Luckily, a door on the 3rd level was unlocked. There’s a loose rail on the 2nd floor front of the house that a small child can easily fit through that needs to be fixed. We had to vacuum tons of bugs out of the lower level floor when we got there as it didn’t appear to have been done by the cleaning crew. The rental and location were ok, but we won’t stay here again as everywhere else we’ve standing in OBX has been much nicer & better value.

Reviewer Comments: The pool and hot tub were absolutely aweful!I had to call maintenance who said they would be there that evening at 6 p.m. and never came till the next day. The door handel going to the pool was broken. There was debri laying all over outside. There was a turtle in the pool, sand, leaves, dead frogs. Same with the hot tub. The 3rd level balcony needs work...don't lean on the railing. The inside was decent. The picture needs updated because it shows no neighbors, but there are, and they are on top of the house. There was underware left outside, the state of the house makes me wonder if it was even cleaned or inspected prior to our arrival...Overall I would not stay here again or use this company.

Could have been better

We were greeted with issues from the moment we got to our rental. The house was less than clean, hair still in the showers the pool and the hot tub. Floors weren’t vacuumed. The hvac wasn’t working on the second floor (we were notified before arrival) the pool filter wasn’t working and the pool hadn’t been cleaned. The back lower door handle broke, when a repair man came out the same day he said he had to wait until the next day to get parts, he never returned, we were unable to lock that door. Numerous maintenance workers in and out throughout the week, always had their own code, very strange that we could never have privacy or feel secure in a house we paid 6k to rent for the week. We will not be returning.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’ll start with the pros. This house was very large and spacious which was great for multiple couples + kids. Large balconies and nice quiet location. The pool was great, but could have been cleaned before we arrived. We tried to clean out the leaves, but the pool net was broken. And the cons.. Upon arrival, we instantly felt the bottom and second floor were not cool. The top floor was instantly cold the moment you walked up the stairs, so it was a very distinct change between floors. We called the office and they got a maintenance guy to come the next morning. He said our AC was blowing out 70 degrees but he’ll get an AC guy to come look as well. It absolutely was not that cool. My children’s baby monitors said 80 degrees in their rooms.. I couldn’t even put them in pajamas because it was so hot. I then got a call that an AC guy was not coming because the AC was fine. I expressed my concerns and that we have children and she had nothing to say.. And then we called back and she assured us that an AC guy WILL come. No one ever showed up the entire week. It was extremely hot, we had to go buy extra fans. There was also a broken window with a trash bag covering it before we arrived. Randomly someone showed up to fix it. But he looked at it once, left, and then never came back to fix it. Another thing was there is no pantry or any cabinet space to put food, so our countertop space was covered in food. It was hard to prep dinners, etc when there was no countertop room. Honestly this house has a lot of potential, and I would come back if these things were fixed.

Loved Kitty Hawk, loved the House and have booked again for next

The pool was great for a late afternoon swim after returning from the beach. We were in cycling distance to the water and some of us took full advantage of that. Although we rented two houses in order for our reunion the Showboat is where we gathered. I have already reserved for next year and although there were a couple of minor issues working out the paperwork this time, the staff was great. Fully recommend this house rental are using the agency for something else. It’s a memory that brought back our childhoods and will give our children more memories to come

Golf trip 2022

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was dated but confortable, except for the following: the kitchen sink faucet was not fastened down to the sink, the hot tub leaked out at least a foot of water every day, then shut off because there was not enough water in it. You are supposed to have a cover that helps keep in the heat on the hot tub, this one had a blue tarp with bungies..... the deck off of the living room had a railing that you don't dare lean on, or it may break.. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE.... Other than that the house and pool was satisfactory.

Great location but house needs improvement

There are both positives and negatives about staying here. The location of our place was great! Loved the quiet neighborhood and how close we were to everything. The grocery stores, Walmart, urgent care, etc. is just a few minutes away and a couple min away by car to the beach with free parking. The house was very big and we appreciated the view and light from all the windows. We spent a lot of time together in the great room and loved the pool table. We loved the master bathroom shower, very big with 2 shower heads! The covering for the 2 cars to pull into was very helpful. We are not a very high maintenance family, but there were also some negatives to mention. The locks were annoying and even though there’s a sign that explains how to use them, it was not easy. The deck boards were so old. The furniture on the deck near the living room was so rusted and dangerous. If you bumped up against one of the chairs you would definitely cut yourself. The furniture in the basement was very old and needs replaced. There was no hot tub cover so when it rained, it was filled with leaves and bugs and the water would just overflow. I called to ask for a cover or at least a small net to clean it out and they sent someone out to put an oversized tarp and bungee cord over the top, so anytime we wanted to use it, it was a hassle. The heating element didn’t completely work so you couldn’t change the temperature, but it was warm enough to use. In no exaggeration whatsoever there were at least about 100 tiny dead frogs floating in and at the bottom of the pool. I had to frequently clean them out and everyday there were more. We were very disappointed in this because we imagined ending our days by the pool. I think 2 kids swam in the pool only a couple times. It was just gross. I didn’t call to complain because I felt there was no point considering how they handled the hot tub situation. The price was a bit lower to rent the place, so that was a plus. I just wish we knew ahead of time what the reasons were. We did have a very nice time, but when you pay a lot of money for vacation, even at a better price comparatively, you shouldn’t have to deal with these issues. We didn’t let it ruin our time and like I said there were many positives about the house and location as well.

A Disappointment

Reviewer Comments: The best part of this house is the pool but be careful with the golf balls that come flying. Upon arrival right away I noticed the house was pretty dirty. I actually vacuumed the main bedroom on the second floor because there was crumbs and stuff all over the floor. I actual left a cherry stem and a arm to a doll there when I left that was there when we got there. I was also very disappointed in the outside furniture. Too dirty and gross to sit on, some of it was ripped or torn. They had two umbrellas- one of them had holes in them. The sink faucet in the kitchen had black mold come out of it when I made ice tea and decided not to drink it. We bought ice and water to use. I’ve been at OBX over 10 times and haven’t been thus disappointed.

Would stay here again

The property was great. Maybe a little worn, but clean and comfortable. Plenty of room and well located. We loved the pool area.

Nice stay but needs some updating

The home is beautiful and properly management was very responsive. Few things to consider: deck and outside siding by deck is falling apart, stained, railing on third level is shaky, rusted nails in deck. Also consider a new jacuzzi cover, didn’t want to touch it because it’s so old and falling apart. Great room and basement furniture can be updated as well.

Bad stay and horrible communication

Pool was filthy , hot tub not usable, garbage everywhere, deck unstable needs maintenance, showered in One of the main bedrooms did not work, refrigerator in game room did not work, pool table needs turned could not play properly. I called and asked for management to call me back never happened I left multiple messages and texts.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice place always one of our favorites, but showing wear. Did notice some improvements, new sofa cushions, some new carpet.Could use some work on ceiling lots of cracking. Hot tub small but works, need new cover Styrofoam pieces in tub.

Our stay at show boat

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Show boat is in a fantastic location. Walking Or quick driving distance to everything. The backyard is a true dream. However The house in desperate need of repairs. Basement windows don’t lock, front door Handel and lock periodically fall out, drawers and shelves inside the refrigerator Are broken. The air condition is very temperamental and periodically does not work. Dryer lint filter does not fit correctly therefor ruining many of our clothes by ripping them to shreds. The house was clean when we arrived but major things were overlooked that in our opinion should not have been... dead bugs in every window sill, molded sour cream in the cabinet, filthy silver wear in the drawers, no sheets on bed or towels left (even though linen package was paid for )

Reviewer Comments: When I called the office to check the status of the house I found the person I spoke with to be rudeWhen we arrived there were crumbs on the counters in the kitchen the dining room table was sticky the dishwasher had moldy stinky dishes in it Both second floor bathrooms had moldy shower curtainsThe third floor shower had mold/ mildew on the back wallEvery bed couch or chair had garbage clothes or something that was left behind by a previous guestA previous guest of the home showed up unannounced and we were not notified by anyone that someone would be by to retrieve an item they had left in the house very unprofessional The outside of the house is not well maintained and there was garbage left in the bushes the outside of the house appears to need a good deal of work for safety reasons very disappointed that part of the deck was not able to be used
