Third year taking a family vacation here. The location is unbeatable. The size of the cottage is amazing. Enough room to be seperate but have the family time you want. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic spot

Cannot recommend this spot enough. Its proximity to the beach makes it perfect for families and we absolutely loved staying here. We’re already planning on booking our week in Wasaga here next year!

Can't beat the location

This was our 4th time at Sandpiper. The cottages are rustic, but has everything you need for a beach get-away. The location is wonderful. Booking was easy, communication with host was great. I am certain we will be back!

Loved it here!

Just wrapped up our stay at cottage #7 -spacious for our entire group, clean and nicely renovated. The location on the beach was fantastic and not crowded. Anytime we reached out the owners communicated right away and were very helpful. Would definitely recommend and go back!

Great getaway with friends and kids

We had a great time at the cottage #7, enough space for 3 adults and 8 kids, lovely fire pit and great views. Recommend and will be back

Had a great time

Our group of 11 had an amazing stay at this beach resort in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and perfect for a large group. The location is fantastic, with stunning beach views and easy access to the water. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this resort for a perfect beach getaway!

Wonderful Stay

It was amazing. We've stayed at a different cottage number last year and this year was nothing short but amazing. We had a great time. Location is perfect. Communication is clear and never waiting for a response. This property makes our vacation.

Great beach getaway

Perfect spot for beach goers! The cottage is on a private beach, and about a 15 minute walk to the Wasaga strip. Everything we needed was there, or if not, all main stores were only a 5 minute drive away. Would definitely return 🙂

Cottage was in a great location, very easy to keep an eye on the kids and let them play. The only thing I would complain about is the need to bring all pillows / blankets / towels / paper towels / garbage bags etc. when travelling far with lots of kids it makes it challenging to pack it all. We will certainly be back again next year!

Great location, right on the beach. Cottage is a good size for families (we had 6 adults and three kids). Depending on what cottage you rent, prepare for a bit of a tricky walk through the sand with all your stuff. We had grandparents with us who struggled a bit (in late 60s). AC window unit in main room - bedrooms can get toasty if you need to close the doors. Great porch to watch the sunsets from.

Awesome location and host was kind. Would recommend bringing a few of your own pans/bathroom floor mat/garbage bags as that was unclear in instructions. Some wasp traps in August would be wise. Amazing location and view.

everything was fine up until them doing cleaning with the machines at 930Am

Everything was great! Susan was amazing host and very helpful with the car situation. The only issue was the guys in the morning that were cleaning the sand at 930Am through the whole day waking everyone up to not mention the entire long weekend and also not to mention being a bit too close to our bathroom windows that did not have curtains.

Hi Sarah, thank you for your email. I am sorry that the machines had bothered you. I can assure you that no one could see inside the cottage. I have been next to these machines and they would have no view into a cottage from where they are situated. Unfortunately the sand had to be cleaned up after the bad weather. To compensate we provided you with three additional parking passes at no extra cost and we gave you a full day to enjoy at the beach till 6 pm instead of the regular 9 am checkout at no extra cost. The owner was there to oversee everything and never got any complaint from the people at your cottage. Once again I am sorry you were disturbed. Please take care.

Great place

The place was nice and all, but the owners were too petty to be running a resort, they don't tolerate noise from even as of 10 pm, and they're really after your money with a bunch of fees and threats they made because of noise LMFAO. Our neighbor lost their deposit, and the owners have a history of insulting renters online for their feedback. If you're a family and won't make any noise at all then you're good, if you're a group of young ones please save yourself from this place. DODGE THE BULLET

No one lost there deposit so please check your story before printing false information. And yes your crowd was loud and rowdy and we do not allow that behaviour on our property. It says on our website that we do not allow it. So do not book with us if you plan to be loud and rowdy. And you group and another group were loud and rowdy after 12 am. We have other guests who reported your behaviour we are not a party resort. It may be a joke to you but people come to our resort to relax and pay to stay and have fun and enjoy their stay and not get disrupted By other guests.

Great place for family reunion

The location of the cottages was great. Even though it was close to Beach Area 1 in Wasaga Beach, it felt very private. My family rented 11 of the 13 cottages and it was wonderful to have everyone close by. Susan was in touch to help with check in and responded promptly when needed to get in touch with her. The air conditioner worked well and was needed during some hot muggy days. The mattress was comfortable. My cottage had a new bar b q that worked well. The appliances were all clean and in good working order. My only suggestion would be a new mattress for the futon in the livingroom. Luckily we were busy and had little time to sit inside. Thank you It was nice to sit around the firepit in the evening to chat, laugh and eat marshmallows.

Great Location! Relaxing Atmosphere!

I stayed at Cottage #7 for 6 nights with my family. It was clean, simple, and the kitchen was well-stocked. We enjoyed bbq-ing, playing at the beach, and walking to the main Wasaga strip. Check-in and check-out were very easy and communication with the host was excellent. This is a great spot for families looking for a relaxing beach vacation!

Susan is rude and disrespectful

DO NOT RENT THIS COTTAGE. Our experience with the Sandpiper Resort was truly a experience we will never forget and not in a good way. The owner Susan, was rude and continuously treated us with disrespect and threatened us on numerous occasions. She would intimidate us with by law fines, and eviction efforts which led us being paranoid all weekend. We are a mature group and followed all guidelines, we turned our music off after 12am, but it turns out you are not allowed to even speak and make absolutely no noise. She wouldn’t let me speak to her when I called her and told me “She does not care” when asked what the issue was. She hung up on me, and provided no clarity on the the matter. Not to mention as soon as we arrive to the cottage our fridge was not working, she should have tested this out prior to our stay. Majority of our food & money went bad and she had the audacity to tell me to “Shut up” on the phone when I called to ask. She made us use another fridge in a different cabin that was barely working as-well and told us to walk back and forth in the rain. The house smelled, shower pressure was low, and provides no basic necessities you expect in a resort. With all this considered I highly advise you to rethink your booking with Susan, she seems to just care about the money and will do anything to keep your deposit. The only good thing about this place was a gentleman named Chris who tried to help us out.

Fantastic spot

Excellent cottages right on the sandy beach. Cottage 7 was clean and comfortable for our group of 9. Location right in beautiful wasaga beach and a short walk to beach one. Met wonderful friends staying at the other cottages. Susan and Chris were fantastic and available for questions and providing information. Highly recommend this spot for a getaway.
