Beautiful place with a great back porch overlooking the creek. Very relaxing and beautiful scenery around. Close to downtown Boone and Blowing Rock.

If you are looking for relaxation, you’ve found the place. From the moment we drive up to the house, I felt tension melt away. The calming sound of the creek, the sound of the birds, the beautiful leaves, the hammocks, the sound of rain on the porch roof….I could go on. Primary bed was very comfortable (didn’t try the others out!). The owner was incredibly responsive. Not hard to find and not far from great restaurants in Boone. We can’t wait to come back.

Lovely mountain hideaway. We first stayed here 8 years ago and are glad we made another trip out! The hot tub is a great upgrade. Our two boys loved playing in the creek out back and the novelty of the upstairs bedroom. The A-frame is charming and beautiful. Excellent stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sunburst Cabin and I highly recommend this cabin for families! The large deck and beautiful backyard with a surrounding creek totally blew me away; it’s truly stunning! I loved listening to the creek sounds and watching the leaves fall. It’s in the perfect location - feels very private but is still a close drive to Boone and Blowing Rock. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It felt very homey and I loved all the little touches that made it feel more personal and cozy. This was our first time visiting the area and this cabin was one of the best parts of our whole trip! I’m sure it’s beautiful year round, but I highly recommend a fall getaway here!

This cabin was cute, clean, and perfect for our visit! The kids loved the books and lofted space upstairs, as well as the creek in the back. The whole space was bigger than I expected. The host was very quick to respond to any questions and make sure we had a great stay. Thanks for everything!

A clean and conveniently located cabin. Tucked in the woods next to a nice little creek but you can be in the heart of Boone with a short 10 min drive. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the kids play in the creek. The hot tub was lovely, as well!

We loved our stay at the Sunburst cabin. Everything was extremely clean. The property had everything was needed and more. Kids enjoyed catching crawdads in the creek. We will be back!

We had an wonderful stay at the cabin and particularly enjoyed spending time on the covered back porch and feeling so secluded despite being so close to town. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, tastefully decorated, and so comfortable. I have already recommended it to several of my friends and absolutely plan on returning!

Everything was awesome; lots of little touches that made the place feel very homely. So many accommodations and ways to enjoy your stay. The location was nicely private and secluded while also being close to the city and surrounding activities. Very much enjoyed our stay.

We loved our long weekend at this property! The surrounding land, creek and hot tub were a huge hit for a fun snowy adventure. The home is beautiful and well maintained / stocked. Would love to stay here any time of year and can’t wait to come back.

We loved our stay here. JD is an outstanding host and the cabin is spotlessly clean. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen has everything we needed, plus far more. Our favorite place is the back deck. It overlooks a creek and we saw deer, chipmunks, squirrels and many birds. We brought our binoculars with us and were thrilled to see a Hooded warbler in the back yard! We would definitely stay here again.

It was an amazing property with so much to offer. There were so many unique features - creek winding around the fire pit, hot tub, hammocks, small waterfall creating a peaceful sound, a beautiful deck for relaxing, fun loft for kids, and overall great location. Host had great tips for nearby adventures and restaurant recommendations. Overall great getaway!

This was our 7th time staying in this cabin. It has become our home away from home. We love the fact that the house is surrounded by trees and rhododendron plants. There is only one house you can see from the backyard, and you don't totally see it then. The creek that runs behind the house is so relaxing to hear. They added a hot tub since our last stay and the family enjoyed sitting in it. They have lots of board games for the rainy days, when you can't get outside. The kids love the upstairs loft area. The master bed is very comfortable to sleep in! The kitchen is well stocked for all of your cooking needs. We highly recommend this place!
