We have spoken with our cleaning staff to ensure that this situation does not happen again. We do also want to thank you for letting our cleaning crew back into the condo the afternoon that you notified us of the problems. In addition we have also installed a new dishwasher. Thank you for the compliment on the location and the VIEW – and we agree – it is a fantastic spot. In response to your comments - we are so disappointed and surprised that you were not happy with your experience. For the past 5 years, the vast majority of our guests have rated this property a 5-star vacation rental. You bring up a few issues and hopefully, this will help address them: Piece of Palm Tree – this is the first instance that we have heard anything but positive comments regarding the landscape on the property. Our complex has a full-time staff that is meticulous and thoughtful, having said that leaves do fall. Air Conditioning – the description on my VRBO home page is comprised of one short paragraph describing the unit and location. The final sentence reads as follows, “Our unit, like many residences on the island, doesn’t utilize an air conditioning system or central heat, if you have sensitivities to temperatures this unit might not be a good fit.” I researched temperatures for the time period of your stay, the high temperature for Princeville during that period was 82 degrees, and the low temperature was 68 degrees. Smell/Cleanliness – We are not sure what you are addressing. We are adamant, especially after the Pandemic, that cleanliness is of the utmost importance. And as you experienced, the cleaning company is readily available for any issues. After reading your comments on the property I reached out to my cleaning company directly and crew leader confirmed receiving a phone call from you. Within the hour, she made herself available to you at the property and addressed items that you felt needed more attention. When I quizzed her regarding any smells or ants, she explained that she witnesses none of that. Regarding VRBO customer service, we cannot speak to that, however, our experience and our previous guests’ experiences have been on a scale of good to great. In the past few years, I do empathize with having experiences with large companies and longer wait times and I’m sorry you were not able to reach them. Having said that, I think both the host and the guest would have been better served if you had reached out to me directly. The review that was submitted by you and was released to me 2 ½ weeks after your departure was the first time I heard anything negative about your stay. I pride myself on being available and attentive and would have liked to have the opportunity to help with whatever concerns you had.
