Even though our trip took place during a tropical depression, we were fortunate enough to have such a lovely backyard with a beautiful pool and hot tub to enjoy between storms, if there wasn’t enough time to get to the beach and back or if the winds were too much with the sand and waves. We were thrilled that everything was in walking distance! Once we got our groceries from the local store, that was the last time we had to drive anywhere. The restaurants were amazing, the bay was 2 blocks away straight down the street! It’s beautiful and we spent most of our time there. My son fished, and we all enjoyed swimming, seeing manatees and just relaxing. The house offered plenty of room, and everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We are all looking forward to staying here again in the future!

We had the best time at Mermaid Cove! The entire outdoor area was 10/10! The pool was absolutely perfect, we could have stayed back there our entire trip! This home was perfectly located too! One street off of Pine Avenue, the General Store is practically in your back yard! We have been to AMI 4 times now and will absolutely be staying at Mermaid Cove again.

All in all the property was great. We don't use VRBO very often and probably did not ask enough questions. We would still highly suggest staying with this host in this location. The house was in a great spot and nicely laid out and furnished. Unfortunately, the property contained some unsafe items if staying with children (hopefully removed after our stay). The pool was over chlorinated and burned our grandson's eyes and the kitchen had no basics like salt, pepper and coffee filters. We also could not get the hot tub to heat. This was not a big deal because we had very hot weather. I will in the future ask more questions about the rental so that I am more prepared.

We had a great experience- loved the house it was in a perfect location and the pool and hot tub were amazing. Huge hit with the kids will definitely stay here again if we come back that way! Only suggestion was having small items like salt and pepper, grilling utensils, basic seasoning.

Beautiful home with a great hangout area outside! So close to everything, we would spend the first half of the day at the pool and then bike to the beach for the second half. Plenty of shopping close by as well! We go to A.M.I. for a girls trip every year and this is definitely on top for places we’ve stayed!

Loved our stay! House is in a great location. Quiet neighborhood, a few blocks from the beach, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The rental property was comfortable with good use of space and the pool/hot tub were nice amenities.

Fantastic property for our family!

We loved this sweet little house, it was a perfect spot for our family vacation. The interior was so cute and clean, and met our expectations based on the listing photos. We loved the pool and cabana and being so close to the bay and a short walk to the beachside, restaurants and cute little shops. Overall just a great stay and we would definitely choose to come back!

Beautiful home

Excellent location on Spring just behind the wonderful general store. We spent most of our time in and around the beautiful pool. House is clean and modern with plenty of room. Definitely plan on renting this again.

Great location within walking distance to all you need… just wish there were more mermaids 😀 only challenge was showers being used at same time, impacted hot water. Overall a great stay!! Would definitely go back!

Great Family Vacation

This is a charming cottage! We had plenty of room for our family of six and enjoyed the beautiful pool. It was very clean and we loved the decor. The location was great to the golf cart rental, beach, restaurants, general store and shops. If we had any questions regarding the property, the management company was very quick to respond. Our family had a great time and we will return.

Fun at the beach

We loved staying here and getting to swim all week. With Covid and growing numbers, we hit the beach early before crowds each day and then swam all afternoon. we cooked in all meals and the kitchen had what we needed. it is a few blocks to the beach so we rented a beach cart and wagon to haul our stuff. We had a great time.

Family vacation at Mermaid Cove

We chose this location for 6 adults, all over 35 years old, and the house is perfectly situated for fun, food, and good times. The property managers were quick to communicate and address anything we needed. I’d highly recommend taking advantage of renting a golf cart to get around the island, and one of the rental facilities is literally a block from the house. We would like to come back!

We had an amazing vacation while staying at this location. We are a family of 5 and there was plenty of space for all of us. Having 3 full bathrooms was a plus! Beds were comfortable and they provided plenty of pillows and blankets. A/c works great. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub while watching World Cup matches. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. Easy walk to the bay. To get to the beach, my husband would drop us all off with our beach supplies on the exact street at the beach access location. It’s less than a half a mile but walking with all of the beach stuff with a family of 5 is not fun. There were no beach supplies on the property. I thought it was strange that there were no beach chairs, umbrellas or even a wagon to take our stuff to the beach. Even when we have stayed at small, cheaper places, those things were usually in storage somewhere for guests to use. That is definitely something they should consider…Or at least tell people ahead of time so that we can bring our own. We rented chairs and a wagon at crabby Joe’s. There are plenty of pots/pans/dishes but there are no spices, salt, pepper, etc. so bring those! You’ll want to bring extra toilet paper as well. They only provide you with the first rolls. They do provide towels for the pool but only 5, so you’ll want to wash while you are there. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice house, great location

We enjoyed our stay at this house. It had plenty of room for our family (2 parents, 2 kids, 1 grandparent). We loved the pool and outdoor area and the proximity to local restaurants and the beach. Overall it was nice and we’d stay again. Some things to be aware of though, the house is minimally stocked with things like trash bags, dish detergent, toilet paper, no coffee provided, etc so you’ll have to go buy those supplies. I know these aren’t required but they are nice to have.

Mermaid Cove

Overall, the stay was fine. The pool area was very pleasant. The property needs basic maintenance, such as lights that didn't work, flooring that was loose, leaky faucets, and other such problems. It also needed some basic cleaning. For the price charged, better attention needs to be given to the maintenance and cleanliness.

A perfect week in June

Everything about this property was fantastic. Perfect location to get to the beaches (easily walked even in the heat), the shops and restaurants on both Pine and Gulf Drive (we ate ice cream every night at Dips). Pool was great. When we arrived there was some debris in the pool, but we just used the provided skimmer and ran the vacuum that was there. The kitchen has quite a bit in the way of utensils, pots, pans, bowls, cups and plates. We had a wonderful week and we were sad to have to leave to head home. We plan on coming back and would use this property again.

Amazing and Unforgettable

Anna Maria Island is paradise but my review is all about Mermaid Cove. We will be back for sure. Great location, close to two beaches and just a block away from to a channel/Inlet with a smaller beach area. Also, one block away is a variety of shops, restaurants, coffee, and ice cream/dessert places. You really don’t have to leave the immediate area for anything unless you want to. Inside are three good size bedrooms and three full baths with very nice showers. The backyard is an amazing oasis. We used the pool almost daily and the grill a few times. It was also very quiet despite being peak season. inside you will find every thing you need for your stay, including cooking, dining and serving accessories. I cannot say enough good things about Mermaid Cove! We will be back for sure and as long as we have under 4 total people we will stay at MMC!
