We live in the Uk and our family of 4 have now left the nest, but are not too far away. During a busy career in the hotel and catering industry, we decided to purchase a property abroad and chose Portugal for a holiday home to get away from it all when needed. The children spent most of their summer school holidays in the Algarve and often invited their friends to join them.
All the family continue to visit Portugal for holidays and we just love the Portuguese people, the country, and especially the climate. We have recently developed a small vineyard on the property which gave us our first harvest in 2014 and we hope to bottle the wine in July 2015.

The villa is situated on a hill behind the busy town of Armacao de Pera which is only 2km away and provides us with one of the most wonderful long sandy beaches to be found in the Algarve. The beach is approximately 2 miles long and has several beach bars situated along the sand dunes and is one of the main reasons we chose the area. There is an abundance of bars and restaurants in the town, wonderful fish and vegetable market, supermarkets, and a variety of shops, banks, car rental companies and beach sports companies.
The location of the property is ideally situated to visit the East or Western parts of the Algarve. With the advent of the A22 motorway, we can travel to Sagres in the West or Vila Real San Antonio in the East, and into Spain, all within an hours drive from the villa. This also opens up a variety of beaches to visit along the coast, great cliff walks, water parks, lovely quaint villages in the mountains with wonderful restaurants offering traditional Portuguese dishes and the views are stunning. Easily accessible to all the 42 Golf courses in the Algarve even though we do have two courses within 5 minutes drive of us.
