Formalmente un pabellón de caza medieval, 'Ta Torri' ahora es una villa privada, cuidadosamente restaurada para proporcionar un alojamiento sencillo rodeado de hermosos jardines.

El camino con columnas por el jardín es uno de los tres que quedan en la isla y es solo una de las características que hace que Ta Torri sea realmente único. Rodeada de altos muros, la villa ofrece total privacidad para tomar el sol, nadar y comer al aire libre.

La villa está situada en las afueras de Mqabba, un tranquilo y hermoso pueblo maltés. Permanece casi completamente libre de turistas, sin cicatrices del desarrollo moderno, proporcionando una experiencia "real" de Malta.

We loved our stay at Ta Torri. A charming historic sandstone home in a quiet village not too far from major attractions in Valletta and Mdina. We came home from sightseeing during the day and relaxed in the wonderful garden. Our host Richard was extremely helpful. We hope to return one day!

Fabulous and unique property perfect for a family holiday. The outside garden area and pool is spectacular and we enjoyed many days relaxing there. The village had a couple of bars where we could walk for a coffee in the morning or a drink at night and everyone was warm and welcoming. We ate at the local restaurant Bottegin del Teatro which served great pizzas and pasta. There are plenty of high quality restaurants close by and there is plenty to see in Malta so would recommend hiring a car or usingthe bus service. Our daughters used the bus to go to Valetta which was cheap (5 euros), safe and convenient as the stop was in the village only a 5 minute walk away. Ta Torri was the perfect villa in a beautiful village and we would definitely return. The whole villa and outside area is simply stunning and unlike anywhere we have stayed before.

Stunning place to stay for 9 days in such beautiful surroundings. I would definitely recommend it. Mqabba is a quiet village and we were able to explore Malta via Bolt, reasonably inexpensive.

We’ve had the most fantastic week at Ta Torri! We (group of 6) stayed for 10 days and cannot praise this beautiful villa highly enough. Richard was always available to contact and was very thorough with information for our stay and recommendations. He also organised for some basic provisions to be ready at the villa for our arrival - thank you. Robert was so helpful and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The photos of the villa don’t do it justice. It is absolutely beautiful, with extensive grounds to explore. Our daughter loved spotting lizards and the swimming pool was a real hit. It’s really handy that there are lots of pool toys available to use. The villa was lovely and clean and very well equipped for a larger group. We supported the local shops and managed to get everything we needed locally - several small grocery shops are a short walk away. The villa is in a brilliant location for ease of access to the airport. We’ve had several days out around Malta and many at the villa, relaxing. Getting an uber or the bus was easy. Thanks again for letting us share your beautiful villa - we’ve loved it.

Welcoming, comfortable and beautiful gardens and lovely sunny courtyard. Slightly off the beaten track which is all to the good but still easy to get everywhere.

Amazing place!

Had a fantastic week at Ta Torri! It is a lovely house in beautiful surroundings, the house is very comfortable and the gardens and pool are peaceful and a wonderful place to spend time. Mqabba is a lovely little town and we definitely recommend eating at Bottegin del Teatro, the food was delicious and the owner was very welcoming. Would happily recommend staying at Ta Torri!

The photos really don’t do it justice, we absolutely loved staying at Ta Torri. We visited during a very hot spell and were grateful for air conditioned bedrooms! There’s so much space, great when travelling with extended family. Thank you Richard, we will be back I’m sure!

La Torri, simply wonderful

The villa was a wonderful location for our family to gather and enjoy a well earned break together. The place is magical. There are hidden places all over the grounds and lots of peaceful places to sit in the sun or the shade. The area is a brilliant place to explore the island and hopefully we will come back one day to enjoy the his magical abode again.

Classical Luxury

This property, a genuine palace, is packed with history and tasteful updates that nake the stay here truly memorable. We stayed for our daughter’s wedding for a week and part way through we wondered why we didn’t hold the wedding at Ta Torri!Don’t be out off by the proximity to the airport, we were only disturbed when a Ryanair engine test went on for an hour, not by air traffic.We expect to be visiting our new family in Malta more frequently and so won’t hesitate to stay again - thoroughly recommended.

Very special place

We had a great time staying here at this unique property. We spent all of our waking hours there enjoying the garden. It is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the Maltese weather. We enjoyed the pool and the boules but our favourite place was the outdoor sitting area. The local village has everything you need and its not far to get to the attractions. A very special property and I would highly recommend.

This is perhaps the most beautiful house one can stay in in Malta with a fairly large (8 and over) group of family and friends. It’s a glorious historic house set in spectacular and enormous gardens which happen to include a big & beautiful swimming pool.This is miles from the ghastly tourist strips of the north, but in easy range of Valletta & Mdina, and other historic sites.The house is obviously much loved by its owners who have inherited it, and who have poured their energy and intelligence into restoring an exceptional seventeenth century property. It is an absolute privilege to stay here and see what they have restored and are maintaining.Everything is comfortable and beautiful.

A truly exotic and unique place to stay

The property is amazing! Full of it's own history, it gave us the feeling of an authentic Maltese experience without having to set foot outside the walls. The courtyard is beautifully maintained and the pool was great to help keep cool. The owner does a fabulous job of making sure you've made yourself at home. Don't expect your typical living quarters as the kitchen is separate from the main building, and one of the rooms is it's own separate apt on the other side of the courtyard, but it all adds up to what makes this property so attractive and special. Would definitely stay here again!

Superb villa with pool and beautiful gardens

Ta Torri is an amazing, spacious, comfortable (and slightly quirky!) villa with fabulous walled gardens containing a pool and an array of plants including olives and limes. Conveniently located for the airport and within easy reach of attractions such as Valetta and Mdina, but also a great place just to laze around soaking up the sun, swimming in the pool and having long, late evening meals at the huge stone table in the courtyard. The property is prepared to a high standard and the owners are great to deal with. Highly recommended!

Ta Torri has been in our family since it was purchased by our grandfather 'TM' in 1968.
Empty and desolate, it’s restoration is now complete, providing simple accommodation in extensive and beautiful gardens.

A 'guest pack' originally written by TM provided a few sentences that hinted of his love for Malta, he says: “For many years I cast around in my mind for that one place on earth where I would find PEACE and which fulfilled the good things I had grown used to. As time wore on Spain dimmed and Malta had cast its spell. Enveloped in history and mystery, (there is) no place quite like it.”
