Newly remodeled - excellent stay!

Loved the updated unit. Very clean and had everything we needed and more. We used the toaster oven, blender, beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels. AC was a nice perk, but we tried a night without AC too and it was nice and cool with the windows open and fans running. We appreciate the brand new appliances, kitchenware, floors, bathrooms, etc. Thanks so much for the stay!

Very nice unit

This unit was very clean, well stocked, and nicely decorated. Unit has been well maintained and updated. Loved having beach chairs and coolers available! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nili Kai. Dishwasher was not working. They tried to have it fixed while we were there, but it needed to be replaced. Otherwise, everything was excellent! We would stay here again.

A perfect stay

This property is fantastic in every way. It is beautifully remodeled and feels beachy in a sophisticated way. The rooms were spacious and we loved having breakfast on the lanai. The condo is in an excellent location, super short walk to Poipu beach, which is safe for swimming and where the turtles rest nightly. The condo was well stocked. It has everything you need. My only comment would be that they only supply 4 beach towels so we had to wash them almost daily. More towels would be great but that would not deter me from staying here again. I loved everything about the condo. Check in was super easy and management staff was responsive. Highly recommended!

Kauai Trip

The washing machine needed to be replaced during our stay which was disappointing. The management team did offer a laundry service but we had to turn our laundry in days before our departure. The bedrooms were outfitted with barn doors. These doors had no latches and the door on the primary would just slide open unless we hooked the handle on the door trim. Lacked privacy. Kitchen was well stocked and our view of the ocean from the deck was very nice. We felt the air conditioning on the main living area couldn’t keep this area cool.

Good location and recently remodeled villa

We had a pleasant stay at this villa. It seemed to be remodeled recently with A/C in each room which helped a lot during our stay. All necessary utensils were provided for cooking but didn't provide starting essentials like cooking oil which other properties do. Luckily there was a store nearby. Also it was a bit difficult to find our villa since there are many villas within the property. I will suggest adding clear instructions on how to get to individual villa once booked. There is a swimming pool within the property which was refreshing especially after spending long hours at the nearby beach. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will recommend anyone travelling with family to consider this property. One minor note, our villa was in the second floor, so we had to climb stairs to get to the front door and the bedrooms were downstairs, so we had to use stairs to get to the bedrooms. This might be troublesome for some since I don't remember seeing this spelled out in the description while booking. Was not an issue for us.

We enjoyed our stay and loved Nihi Kai Villas

Nihi Kai Villas #504 worked out really well for us. check in and check out were easy. The app helped. The complex was ideally located - pool was good (although a little cold), and we used the barbeque nightly (where we met nice vacationers from all over the world). Our unit was basic and clean. Note: Our must haves for renting were (1) good location (nailed it), air conditioning (nailed it), and good beds (pretty good, but they were a little soft - so I/we woke up a little stiff. They are great for a quick nap. The furniture was accurate as shown in the online pictures. The kitchen was clean and had all the basics that we needed to cook. We did a lot of cooking, either in the unit, or at the gas grills. The only negatives (which were minor and would not prevent us from renting again) were: (1) the carpet was stained and worn - note the management recognized this and left us a note indicating that they were to be cleaned (they should be replaced). (2) the garbage disposal didn't work (we just made sure not to use that side of sink with food). (3) the living room sofa lacks padding and should be replaced - you sink into the frame when you sit in it. Over all we loved our stay and would come back. One suggestion for all of the units Create some mechanism where those leaving the complex could leave useful food or drink items for future guests to potentially use instead of being forced to throw it into the dumpster. We had unopened food items and beverages that we just threw away. Same could be done for laundry/dish detergent or suntan lotion. Maybe place a small box on the kitchen countertop or in the refrigerator indicating that guests could leave unopened food items for either future guests (or even staff). Just a thought!

Lovely place!

Great condo - pretty decor, well equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings. It’s an easy walk to Poipu Beach, Brennecke’s, and equipment rentals. We started each day with coffee on the lanai and enjoyed “coming home” to shower, eat, talk about our adventures that day, and take an evening dip in the pool. The two bedrooms each have their own bath (and TV) are located downstairs. It was a good fit for our family of 4. Our kids are 15 and 21.

Brought my family for a quick getaway, and the condo did not disappoint. Very nicely updated with high end appliances and amenities throughout. Perfect location to walk to nearly everything Poipu has to offer. Highly recommend.

Overall great property! Updated unit with great amenities! Traffic is a little high in this area but that is expected being so close to the beach! Parking is a bit tight could get rid of 2 spots and extend the others so you can get in and out of your car. Overall great place and would recommend.

Great condo in a very nice complex. We loved it.

This condo is wonderful. The photos don't do it justice...especially with regard to the view from the balcony. The layout is funky at first. No bathroom on the main floor, but don't let that scare you. The layout is what gives you the nice view. Nicely stocked kitchen/dining/living area on the main floor. Plus the bonus of a porch off the kitchen which comes with boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas and some snorkel gear - all a huge plus. Down one level (love the wall-to-wall carpeting), you find two very nice bedrooms -each with its own bathroom and each with its own small patio. Washer/dryer on this level as well. Very comfortable with fans everywhere and an A/C unit in the master (though we never used it). And this complex has a wonderful pool just a few feet from the ocean. Gorgeous view and never many people using the pool. Also nice covered areas for barbecue. Best of all...you are a quick walk to the public park and beach, the Marriott resort and Brennecke's...the best beach bar/restaurant anywhere! The rates are very reasonable and check-in was simple with no hassles. Loved everything about this unit and this complex and absolutely loved this island.

perfect for a family holiday

We are a family of 2 adults & 2 kids (9 & 11), who stayed for two weeks. We loved the condo. It was clean, quiet & convenient. The position was perfect - a minute's walk away we saw turtles & seals every day. Only a few minutes more took us to the beach. The grounds were lovely, with gorgeous flowers everywhere. Grounds staff were constantly attending the gardens which were clearly well cared for. Inside, the condo was perfect for our visit. We met up with friends elsewhere on the island & there wouldn't have been enough room to entertain them all but when it was just the family hanging out, it was perfect. The pool was great, although we didn't use it much and the equipment provided, such as beach chairs, was fabulous. We bought our own boogie boards & left them there. My only criticism is that the sprinklers came on around 2am and seemed very loud - they actually woke me every night although after working out what the noise was I could easily get back to sleep. Also the bedroom fans were quite noisy. We had a fantastic holiday & would certainly book this condo again.

The Villas were as pictured , the location was very good although a car is needed as it is very difficult to get around otherwise. The office staff were extremely helpful and helped us organize tours etc. We toured the Napali coast with Blue Dolphin charters whom I would highly recommend . The local restaurant Beneckes was fantastic , great food and views . The only complaint were the constant mowing, wiper snipping and noise of gardeners. Also the louvered doors between bedrooms gives no privacy.

Mahalo Noel for your 5-star review. It is great to hear that you got to enjoy some of the great sites of Kauai. We agree, the grounds at Nihi Kai are amazing. With that does come constant care, but we will pass on your comment to the Board and Resident Manager to ensure doing their best to minimize the noise. We apologize for any inconvenience.
