Clean and convenient

We enjoyed our stay at the Plantations. The check in process was a breeze and the management were responsive when we had a small issue. The pool was quiet and peaceful, very close to the unit. It was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. Only recommendation is having a beach umbrella available for guests along with the beach toys and chairs.

Overall good!

This was a very clean condo with most of everything we needed! The garage was full of all we needed for the beach from Boogie boards and an ice chest, to sand toys for the kids. The only thing I wish we had more of was beach towels- there were only 4. Also, the we have staid in precious condos at this property that have had a much better equipped kitchen. Such as spices, shelf safe condiments, laundry soap, etc. not a huge deal but was definitely nice to have at the other places we have stayed.

The units are stocked with 1 beach towel per guest. We would have sent additional if we had known you needed more. For the safety of our guests, we do not typically leave any open food or condiments in the unit, other than salt and pepper. All of the units are stocked with bathroom tissue, laundry soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, and other items to get you started. In the future, please let us know if you need extra towels or other items and we will happily send them over to you. We look forward to hosting you again soon. Aloha and a hui hou!

Amazing property!

The property was exactly as described and we had a very comfortable stay. The property managers were helpful and accommodating...there when needed and allowed us our privacy. The property had a supply of TP, PT, Kleenex, bath gel, shampoo and conditioner - enough for our entire stay. (bring or buy extra body lotion!) The kitchen had dishwasher packs, dish soap and bottled cleaners (under the sink). There was also a supply of coffee filters, ziplock baggies, saran and tin foil which came in handy. I would suggest scoping out what the unit offers before going shopping so you don't buy what you don't need. Sign up for a Makai card at the grocery store to save money. One laundry detergent pack was supplied. We bought a bottle and left it for the next guest. Wifi went out while we were there but the property managers were on it immediately and had it rectified quickly. The garage...had everything you needed...coolers, beach chairs, etc. The unit felt safe and secure, was extra clean and accommodating. We will stay at The Plantations again, and hopefully this property, if available, for our next visit. **Love Kauai**

Disappointing experience

The Parrish property managers, who are known for their exceptional customer service and properties really let us down. The condo was filthy with previous tenants trash and covered in dust, we only had 4 plates to eat off of, the carpet was torn, no hot water and horrible AC which was controlled by the owner. I asked for the condo to be cleaned twice as there was trash in my daughter room not picked up from the first cleaning. On the second cleaning they left our condo unlocked! I went to the Parrish office in Poipu after speaking to the office in Princeville in hopes to reach a general manager and the owner, but no luck. I’m furious with the lack of customer service! My family and I have never experienced this type of treatment or stay and we have been using Parrish for the last 15 years. A $100 credit does not cover our ruined vacation! We will be taking our loyalty and business somewhere else. Highly reconsider those to think twice on booking with Parrish, they are not the same company as they used to be.

Gorgeous property but........

This would be 5 star EXCEPT for the fact there were maggots. I rented for my son, his wife and 2 adult children. He texted me pics of the maggots. They swept them up but they appeared again. Last day there was a huge cluster of them on the bathroom floor. They were on kitchen floor, bathroom floors, and entryway at different times, After the big cluster I emailed the property manager. She did respond promptly and said they would send a cleaner but I got the hint she was placing the blame on the renters (not true). My family did NOT leave food laying around. The maggots were there from day 1. The cleaner left a note which to me insinuated it was our fault. I emailed the manager my displeasure with a copy of the cleaner’s note attached. Never heard a word back. This was really a lovely unit and if the maggot situation had been addressed a little better this could easily have been 4-5 star. The maggots were disgusting.

Aloha Sandra, we are truly sorry about what you experienced. However, there are two sides to the story. We got the email the day before your son was to check out about finding the "white worms". When we called the unit to gather more info, your son stated that "they did not generate a lot of trash and had not taken any out since they arrived" on the 23rd. This was over a week and we recommended he take it out. Our Senior Property Manager did go to the unit to inspect that afternoon and found a trash can 2/3 full of trash, including a rotting pineapple core and more "white worms". We removed the trash, sanitized the trash can and left a note explaining what we had done. Unfortunately, in the tropics one cannot leave trash for an extended length of time. It does seem we addressed the issue timely (same day) and appropriately (removed them), but we are sorry you are disappointed. Lastly, we have not had any other reports of problems since. Mahalo.

Beautiful

This condo was very clean and spacious. Lots of beach equipment in garage and nice grounds. We did have a difficult time finding it however. We arrived in Lihue very late at night so was a long drive and hard to see the road signs and house numbers.

Beautiful

Everything we could possibly want. Easy to get to, well furnished, 2 furnished patios and nicely furnished inside as well. We used it as our base, the rest of our family was staying in a house within walking distance. Worked out very well.

Lovely and Comfortable

Nice, comfortable property. Only one of the bedrooms has a/c--this is buried pretty far down in the property description. (That seems normal for the Plantation properties, for some reason.) The condo gets pretty warm in the late afternoon, even in the air-conditioned bits, but cools down fairly well at sunset. Overall, very comfortable and convenient property. We'd love to return!

We enjoyed staying in both Princeville and at the Plantation. The condo was very clean and quiet. We had plenty of space and it was well supplied. Having shampoo, conditioner and other supplies was a wonderful touch. We would recommend this unit to all. Hats off to Parrish Collection for taking such good care of us.
