Villa Alexander es uno de sólo 4 villas modernas de bonito diseño que componen el desarrollo de la pequeña, exclusiva de Gennadi Hills, situado en el borde de la tradicional localidad, el año de Gennadi en la costa sureste del país. Idealmente situado en un entorno tranquilo de olivares y campos abiertos a tan sólo unos minutos a pie hasta el pueblo, donde hay una gama buena de instalaciones, como supermercados, una panadería, verde-supermercado, cajero automático, alquiler de bicicletas de motor y un número de bares y tabernas . Un corto paseo lo lleva a una de las codiciadas playas y tabernas frente a la playa de la isla. Un poco más adelante a lo largo de la playa hay un moderno bar en la playa que sirve buena comida, bebida y cócteles y ofrece tumbonas gratuitas. Una farmacia y un centro médico se encuentran entre el pueblo y la playa.

La planta baja de dos niveles con aire acondicionado de la villa consta de una cocina totalmente equipada con lavavajillas, salón, comedor y baño separados. Las dos habitaciones con baño en el primer piso tienen sus propias vistas al mar privada balcón y aire acondicionado. En el exterior hay una piscina privada orientada al sur, jardín, 2 grandes terrazas para tomar el sol y cenar al aire libre, una barbacoa griega tradicional y un amplio estacionamiento fuera de la carretera.

La ubicación sería ideal para familias y parejas de todas las edades.

Lovely Villa

First time in Gennadi. We thought at first perhaps the restaurants had lost the old Greek feel. But Gennadi is a lovely village and friendly people and largely unspoilt by all the tourism. It was hot! Had been all this year. Thank goodness for the lovely pool and sea. We needed a car not because of distance to beach and village - but because of the hot temperatures. One day would love to come again.

Schöne Villa

Tolle Villa, ruhig gelegen. Der Strand bietet viel Platz und ist nicht überladen. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Der Pool wurde ausgiebig genutzt und hat eine gute Größe. Die Kommunikation mit Derek verlief einwandfrei. problemlos. Es war ein rundum gelungener Urlaub.

A beautiful and well equipped villa in a lovely location

Alex is a lovely 2 bed villa, extremely well equipped with ac in both bedrooms and the lounge area, plenty of comfy inside seating and loads of external seats and sun beds, pool isn’t the largest but is more than big enough for a family of 4 and a couple of lilos, location is perfect, it’s very quiet but just a 5 min slow walk to the little strip of very nice tavernas and shops,, We hope to return for another stay soon

Wir haben uns von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute mehr als wohl gefühlt in dem sehr schön gelegenen Haus im Ort Gennadi.Einfach nur wohl fühlen in dem sehr einladenden und mit allem ausgestatteten Haus.Das war mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal.Wir sind sehr dankbar!

Ein erholsamer Urlaub in einem tollem Ferienhaus

Wir hatten in dem Ferienhaus einer sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Es liegt sehr ruhig, aber doch sehr nah am Ortszentrum. Eine Bäckerei, ein Supermarkt, ein Gemüseladen sind in fünf Minuten zu fuẞ erreicht. Mehrere Gaststätten ebenfalls. Der Pool war auch sehr schön und ist auch regelmäẞig, mehrmals in der Woche kontrolliert und gewartet worden. Auch bis zum Strand ist es nicht weit, ca. zehn Minuten. Obwohl dieser ein Kieselsteinstrand ist, sind wir auch dort sehr gerne hingegangen. Die Kiesel sind sehr klein. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden mit dieser Unterkunft und auch unseren Vermietern, die sich auch erkundigt haben, ob alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit ist.

Absolute bliss

From the moment you step off the plane and the heat hits you and the sky is clear and blue, you know you are in for a great holiday. Arriving at the village you know you are in Greece. The beautiful village shops filled with local produce and as fresh as if you picked it from the fields yourself. Not going to lie you won’t find any of the large supermarkets in Gennadi, but there is a bakers, fruit and veg shop and a shop that sells everything else. It has a butchers and deli so you won’t be going hungry any time soon. There are plenty of restaurants if you want to dine out and probably a different one for every day of your stay. When you get to the villa, you are greeted with a beautiful pool that invites you to jump straight in. The garden area is wonderful and filled with sun beds do you can catch the sun or shade all day. The villa itself is equipped with everything you could possibly need or require. I would suggest using the melamine crockery if you are eating or drinking outside. Just so you don’t have any breakages by the pool. The 2 bedrooms are both ensuite and roomy so you don’t feel hemmed in. There is even another bathroom on the lower floor. It truly is a home from home. Spacious, very well equipped and a beautiful place to spend your vacation. The villa has sea views on all levels and it is breathtaking. Thoroughly recommend booking this villa and thank you Derek and Janet for sharing your beautiful home❤️

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Schöne Villa mit toller Lage. Die Bougainvillea ist inzwischen noch üppiger, wunderschön! Alan, der Hausverwalter, war auch sofort bei Fragen ansprechbar. Uns hat es äußerst gut in Gennadi gefallen. Es ist noch nicht soo touristisch, gibt aber genügend und sehr gute Restaurants sowie eine Bäckerei, die ihresgleichen sucht in nur max. 5 Minuten Fußweg Entfernung. Restaurants Matthies (ganz neu, sehr lecker) sowie Sergios und Zorbas können wir sehr empfehlen. Die griechische Gastfreundschaft ist einfach umwerfend. Kieseliger Strand und Meer waren für uns auch perfekt, da fußläufig entfernt mit extrem viel Platz und 3 Restaurants.

Een ontspannen verblijf in Gennadi

Het was een mooi huis en alles wat je nodig hebt, was er ook. Ook de communicatie met het inchecken was goed geregeld. Het huis staat in een rustige omgeving vlakbij het centrum van Gennadi waar je te voet je boodschappen kan doen. Naast het huis staan geen huizen, maar met een beetje geluk kun je ook herten zien. Ook zijn er diverse restaurantjes in een knus straatje. Het enige nadeel was dat ze aan de overkant van de straat geregeld werkzaamheden gingen uitvoeren aan een braak liggend pand wat voor geluidsoverlast zorgde. Al met al is het een prima plaats voor een ontspannen vakantie.

Excellent villa close to everything you need

This is a very well-equipped villa that is close to everything you need in the small village/town of Gennadi. It is literally 3 minutes walk from the bakery, the grocers, the supermarket, and numerous eateries including Mama's Kitchen, Zorbas (our favourite) and The Lab amongst others. 10 minutes walk to the actual beach (and another good restaurant - Antonis for fresh fish caught that day that you can select yourself). Excellent information/directions/advice from the hosts and their management team.

Es war fantastisch!

Die Villa ist der Hammer. ein wunderschönes Gebäude, perfekt aufgeteilt. Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Der große Bougainville-Baum ist ein Traum! Er war in voller Blüte, als wir ankamen. Der Pool ist fantastisch. Die Kinder waren kaum aus dem Wasser zu bekommen. Die Lage der Villa ist perfekt: Fußläufig zu Bäcker und Mama's Kitchen natürlich. Ein paar Schritte weiter und schon ist man am kilometerlangen Strand. Kurzum: absolute Empfehlung!

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful villa! Everything was just perfect. Wir hatten einen großartigen Urlaub in diesem tollen Ferienhaus! Es ist super ausgestattet, hat eine gute Lage und der Pool war vor allem für unsere Kinder der absolute Hit! Schön ist auch die Terrasse, wo man gemütlich Frühstücken kann und der große Balkon mit schönem Ausblick. Ins Dorf ist es nur ein kurzer Spaziergang. Ganz in der Nähe gibt es eine Bäckerei mit frischem Brot und sehr leckeren Törtchen und anderem Gebäck. In der direkten Umgebung gibt es einige sehr gute und nicht zu teure Restaurants. Gennadi ist ein sehr nettes Dörfchen.

Wonderful relaxing week.

Lovely well looked after villa, a good size for 4 people, in a fantastic location. Only a few minutes walk into the centre of the village with its lively tavernas and shops and a 10 minute walk to the pristine, uncrowded, pebbly beach. A car is advised.

Great location for village and beach

Spent a lovely week in this villa which is in a great location just a few minutes walk from the local shops, bars and restaurants. The local beach is a 10 minute walk and not at all crowded. The villa was ideal for 4 adults, well equipped and with thoughtful welcome touches.

Brilliant Holiday!

Lovely villa - great location, friendly village with everything you need (restaurants, bar, cafe, bakery and super market with a good butchers). You could easily stay at the villa for the whole holiday but if you fancy getting out and about there are lots of places to visit and Allan (villa guy who visits you when you arrive ) gives great advice to make it easy to find different places plus hints and tips. The villa is great, really clean, with everything you need - they’ve thought of everything. The pool is brilliant - really made our holiday. Plus although the local beach is a bit pebbly the water is brilliantly clear and my kids loved snorkelling watching the fish - and there are a couple of friendly beach bars. There are lots of other Sandy beaches nearby though if you fancy exploring. I would totally recommend this villa for a chilled family holiday. 👍😊

Wer gut und lecker essen möchte sollte auf jeden Fall einen Besuch im Restaurant Sakellari Christina in Gennadi nicht versäumen. Ebenso lohnt sich das Old Monolithos.

Fantastic !

We have just spent a fabulous 11 days at the Alexander Villa. The villa is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday in an authentic Greek Village. We didn’t venture very far as the temperature was too hot for us to do anything other than sunbathe by the pool or down at the beach. The village has everything that you need....a supermarket, 2 fruit and veg shops and the most amazing bakery. We ventured into Lindos on the local bus one evening to see what a different resort offered. Whilst there was a lot more choice of restaurants etc, we much preferred the friendly and relaxed surroundings that Gennadi has to offer. Thank you Janet for your help in arranging the taxi from the airport (Mike is certainly a character!), and the promptness in your email exchanges was greatly appreciated. The property manager Alan will welcome you on arrival, and he has a wealth of information about the local area. We can not recommend this accommodation enough, and we would love to return.

Beautiful Villa

The villa and the surrounding space were beautifully maintained. The villa itself was very comfortable and well equipped. It is very peaceful and it is easy just to laze around all day, but if you fancy a cocktail or need supplies these are on your doorstep. There are plenty of places to visit (Lindos a must). I recommend Sposa Beach bar for it's laid back ambience and excellent food. Next time 2 weeks , 1 is not enough!!

Schönes Ferienhaus mit großem Erholungsfaktor

Gehobene Ausstattung, sauber, alles vorhanden, Startset für die erste Nacht wird bereitgestellt. Der Pool könnte besser gereinigt werden. Bei der Abreise Startset wieder komplettieren.

A super villa in a very friendly town.

The villa is beautiful. It is uncluttered, easy to find what you need, and child friendly. The town is very friendly and we really enjoyed eating and drinking at the restaurants, tavernas and cafes. The bakery, greengrocer and supermarket kept us supplied with anything else we needed. Gennadi is a very convenient base for exploring the beaches and sights in the south of the island - Glystra Beach, Prasonisi, Lindos and Monolithos among them.

Beautiful Villa in a great location

Can't fault the villa, ideal for a family stay. Very well equipped and thoughtfully planned. Pool was great. The location is really good, nice and quite, yet within easy reach of a few tavernas and bars. Well located for the local beach and to visit other parts of the island. I'd recommend Glystra beach for families.

We live and work in Dorset and started holidaying in Rhodes in 2002 and like many visitors we fell in love with the beauty of the island, the history and the hospitality of Rhodians.

In 2007 we decided to look at buying a holiday home and potential retirement property.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

There was never any question that Rhodes was where we wanted to buy and having got to know the Island well and looking at properties in various locations we decided that the traditional village of Gennadi, away from the busy tourist areas yet has everything you could want within walking distance, was the ideal setting.

It was in late 2008, after much searching, we looked at the concrete shells that were to become the Gennadi Hills properties. Our minds were made up when we saw the fantastic views over the sea, the equally beautiful mountains along the coast above Pefkos and the wonderful landscape towards the southern tip of the island. The design is in keeping with the traditional look of the village yet with a modern feel.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The villa was completed in June 2009 and we spent a busy few weeks furnishing and equipping it to ensure our guests had everything they needed for a relaxing holiday. The villa is named after Derek’s late father, as fittingly Alexander is a prominent name in Greek history.

We have enjoyed holidays with our parents, children and grandchildren at the villa. We love our time in Gennadi and enjoy nothing more than being able to sit outside until late at night in the peaceful surroundings and then waking up to the glorious views in the morning. Due to work commitments we can only visit a few times a year at present, however it gives us a great deal of pleasure when people have enjoyed their holidays at Villa Alexander and say that they have had a peaceful, relaxing, and fulfilling time.
