Villa de lujo con piscina privada, tranquila, antigua villa vinícola, cerca del mar.

Les Hirondelles es una encantadora villa aislada en su propio disco privado, con puertas eléctricas. Situada en la ladera de una colina, la villa está orientada al sur y ofrece sol durante todo el día. A 5 minutos a pie del centro del pueblo, con sus 4 restaurantes (¡2 al final del camino!), boulangerie, tabac / bar y corto viaje al supermercado. 10 minutos en coche de las playas de arena del Mediterráneo en Leucate y La Franqui y enormes lagos de sal (etangs) para practicar windsurf y kitesurf, paseos en bote, pesca de cangrejos y caminar.

Fitou es un pueblo del vino, por lo que hay un montón de degustación de vinos para disfrutar. El castillo y el bar medieval están a pocos pasos de la villa, al igual que dos restaurantes encantadores. El pueblo en sí es tranquilo y pacífico, pero hay muchas cosas que hacer y ver en la localidad: hay una carpeta en la villa repleta de información e ideas.

La villa tiene un interior confortable y elegante, amueblado con un alto nivel. Cuatro habitaciones dobles están bien equipadas, 3 en la villa principal (dos gemelas y una principal con 4 columnas / baño) más un amplio baño en-suite en la terraza de la casa de la piscina (perfecto si una pareja o abuelos quieren un poco de privacidad). Todas las habitaciones tienen ventanas francesas que se abren al jardín. Dos se abren directamente a una hermosa terraza, uno en la terraza de la piscina. Gran baño familiar y un retrete separado, además de las suites. La amplia sala de estar con techo alto se abre a la terraza, la piscina y el jardín. Disfrute de sofás blandos, TV del Reino Unido, juegos, DVD, aire acondicionado / calefacción reversible, además de una buena conexión wifi. La cocina moderna tiene encimeras de granito y está muy bien equipada con equipos. Hay un lavadero separado con todas las instalaciones de lavandería si las necesita.

Salga de la amplia sala de estar a la terraza cubierta junto a la piscina con barbacoa de gas, una gran mesa y sillas cómodas, perfectas para comer al aire libre, con vistas a las colinas o a las estrellas por la noche. Alrededor de la piscina hay muchas tumbonas cómodas. Espacio para estacionar autos de forma segura en el camino.

Lavanda, aceitunas y almendros se pueden encontrar en el jardín, junto con agaves nativos.

Excellent for family vacation

This villa stay was fantastic! The property was even more beautiful in person, with stunning views and a well-maintained interior. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the host was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed the pool and outdoor space. Highly recommend!

Fitou holiday

Property was lovely, spacious, well equipped and clean. Facilities were great, pool area a real sun trap and kitchen has everything you need. Great weather also helped. The village is pretty but could do with an extra bar or cafe than it has as the ones there were always full, but Leucate is close and has plentyVery relaxing break and would recommend the property to anyone wanting a chilled out time

This was our second stay at Les Hirondelles and we enjoyed another wonderful week. Ian and Julie (the property managers) helped us settle in quickly and the villa was even more spoiling and comfortable thanks to the new Kitchen area. This is a place where you can truly switch off and relax and there’s no doubt in our minds that we will hope to return at some point in the not too distant future - thank you!

Amazing Place Excellent Service

Our time at the property was amazing. Wonderful safe place for me and my wife and our three children. Walking distance too many wine tasting opportunities and restaurants. Wonderful beaches with kite surfing, wind surfing, and paddleboard opportunities abound. Couldnt have enjoyed it more. We hope to be back!!!

Beautiful villa in peacefull location

Beautiful villa on the edge of Fitou, fabulous hillside views in a quiet location. Tastefully furnished to a high standard. Spotlessly clean. Superb well equipped kichen (serious kitchen envy!) Air con amazing and so quiet. Lovley pool and bbq area with outside dining and plenty of sunbeds.Lizzie was very helpful and responsive to intial enquiries. Ian and Julie the villa managers were great met on arrival and departure. They live in Fitou, very helpful with recommendations for local and further recommendations of places to visit.10 mins drive to Leucate village and beaches. Peyriac de Mer another lovley village 20 mins away . Another plus so easy to get to from Perpignan airport 25 mins drive.Thanks so much Lizzie you really have a gem of a villa. We would love to return oneday.

Beautiful, comfortable villa in a fantastic locati

Had a great weeks holiday with family and friends. The villa was all we could have wished for and more, spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. Loved spending time in pool and sunbathing on the terrace . Had a great evening at the Chateau, just a short walk away. So many places to visit, just ran out of time to enjoy it all. Must return.

Impressive villa in a great location

The villa was very impressive. It was spotless and had all the amenities that were needed. Julie and Ian were great property managers and were flexible in accommodating our flight times, which meant to we could arrive at the villa earlier than expected. The location is also excellent - two very good restaurants at the end of the drive and more within walking distance in the village. It was also only a 10 minute walk to the boulangerie in the morning. I cannot recommend this villa enough.

Wonderful Villa

We think this property probably surpassed our expectations and the three couples agree that it was perfect. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with ample china, glassware and cutlery and the bedrooms were very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for the excellent showers. Outside there was a plentiful supply of sunloungers and seating for outside dining. The villa is very private yet very easily accessible to some wonderful restaurants in the village.

A great week in Fitou!

We really enjoyed our week at this property in Fitou. The position is excellent, with local restaurants very close and the boulangerie just 5mins walk. The villa itself was large, open and comfortable, the a/c was a blessing. The children loved the pool which was bathed in sunshine all day. The beaches are a 10min drive away and if you feel a little more adventurous, worth making the journey into Spain. We will be back!

Well equipped house in tranquil location

A beautifully presented house situated in a quiet village but with several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Wine tasting and a small bar all within the village and 15minute drive to the beach/lake. Absolutely loved it. The house had everything we needed and more. Ian and Julie, the house managers were lovely and very helpful, giving great tips about restaurants, supermarkets, etc. We were lucky to be there for a month and had a really wonderful time. Would highly recommend it.

Great villa in lovely location and very helpful hosts!

Highly recommend this villa! We had a lovely week - lots to do locally and Fitou is charming, with great restaurants and wine cellars, and just a 5 minute drive to the incredible Leucate beach. The villa itself is fabulous - air con works well throughout the property (it got up to 35 degrees during our stay so keeping cool was a must!); pool was clean and with lots of toys for kids (including Dave the lobster!) and loungers for adults; rooms were a good size; and it was well appointed throughout. The little touches (like washing powder and oils/herbs) also made the whole experience seem great value for money, and like a home away from home. Ian the villa manager was very helpful - thank you!

Fabulous Villa in Charming Fitou

Truly lovely week staying in this fabulous villa in Fitou. The villa is a wonderful size - more than enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 almost as big teens, and impeccably appointed. Location strikes a fabulous balance between privacy/quietness and still being within the village, only a stroll from restaurants, shops and caves des vins. There’s plenty of parking on the villa’s private driveway and the pool was very welcome at the end of a day exploring the area. Special mention must go to Cave de Agnes, no more than 200m from the villa, at which we had a lovely meal, Chateau Abalanet, whose old vine wines we really enjoyed and Anamandine in the car park near the Mairie who do wonderful pizzas and burgers to eat there or take away, which our kids thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you very much Lizzie and family!

A lovely holiday home for both families and others!

We visited as a family (mum, dad and three children, aged 10, 7 and 2) stayed here in August 2017. Les Hirondelles is exactly the type of property I would want as a holiday home. Three bedrooms, all with comfy beds, and a large open plan living space for cooking, dining and lounging opening up onto a covered patio for outdoor dining in front of a pool and sun loungers and table tennis table. The only slight disappointment was having to eat dinners indoors as we seemed fair game for some wasps from another property who stayed away due to some fake nests in all instances other than when the temptation of food became too strong for them. The property was spotlessly clean on arrival, and well stocked with everything you are likely to need throughout your stay. Situated toward to top of Fitou, you are not overlooked at all, and the location feels completely quite and safe, yet it's an easy few minutes walk into the village past several restaurants. Fitou itself is wonderfully located to explore an array of beaches running from Leucate down to Argeles-sur-mer near the Spanish border, as well as local towns including Perpignan and Beziers. I would happily recommend Les Hirondelles for anybody wanting to relax in a beautiful location with all amenities nearby, and/or explore the area during the day before returning to splash about in the pool and relax.

The perfect place

Les Hirondelles has everything. The description and the pictures give you a flavour of what to expect, in reality it is better, just fantastic. As we drove through the village we getting more excited and as we approached the gates we were not disappointed. Ian, the caretaker was there to meet us and show us around. The bedrooms were excellent with great storage space and very comfortable. We had family visit and the all thought we had picked the perfect place. The terrace and pool area was so private and such a relaxing space to share with others, swimming, chatting and enjoying a glass of wine. The village of Fitou is just outside the gate. The restaurant Le Toit Vert is the first building you come to and well worth a visit. We ate there on a number of occasions. A ten minutes stroll takes you into the heart of the village with the local baker and a choice of wine sellers. We village cafe Chez Denis was a trip back in time. I sure not much has changed there in the past 50 years. A great window into the local community. Another place to visit in the village is Chateau Fitou. Wonderful views down the valley to the Mediterranean and an ideal spot to sit a gaze while enjoying a refreshing drink. Les Hirondelles and Fitou is the ideal destination to spend time with together. Everything you could want for in a holiday property. We could not recommend it highly enough. Thank you to Liz for sharing such a perfect place..

Bright, comfortable home in a quiet location

We enjoyed this cute, bright house with it’s blissful air conditioning! The back porch, table and pool were great and it was so cool to see the swallows diving into the pool in the evenings. We took full advantage of the two great restaurants that are literally at the end of the driveway. Fitou is very, very quiet with no shops, one rather sad boulangerie and many wine tasting caves. It’s absolutely beautiful if you are looking for a quiet getaway. The beaches are 15-20 minutes away, but an easy drive. The whole area is very easy to drive around and Fitou made a good base for day trips in all directions.

Maison très agréable et accueillante

La villa d'Élisabeth est vraiment agréable. Elle est très joliment décorée, fonctionnelle et particulièrement bien équipée (grand choix d'ustensiles de cuisines) avec un grand rechange de verres, assiettes et couverts qui nous permettait d'être tranquilles pour la journée. La maison est suffisamment spacieuse et bien agencée pour préserver l'intimité de chacun (nous étions 3 couples). Enfin la literie est excellente. Nous avons également apprécié la bouteille de vin de Fitou qui nous attendait en signe de bienvenue. Valérie

Really comfortable house

The house is so well decorated both inside and out. We loved the well equipped kitchen and enjoyed dining outside on the covered terrasse as well as inside. It's a very comfortable space.

We are a family in love with the south of france! We live near Lewes in Sussex where we run our business, but have been enjoying our second home, Fitou, for over 15 years.

Our two boys have grown up enjoying the beautiful beaches of La Franqui and Leucate, crabbing in the salt lakes, learning to windsurf, climbing up precipitous Cathar castles like Peyrepertuse and Quéribus, swimming in the beautiful gorge at Gouleyrous, visiting the African Safari Park, water park ... and then as teenagers, enjoying the beach clubs of La Pulpe, Biquet and Pilotis and the vibrant towns of Narbonne and Perpignan.

Chris and I have enjoyed all the above, plus our special passion, wine and food! Fitou and the region is brimming with fantastic wineries to visit and an abundance of restaurants, one of our favourites being the Michelin starred Le Grand Cap near the lighthouse on the cliffs at Leucate.

We originally owned a big old house in the centre of Fitou village. We were looking for the perfect villa, peaceful and private, spacious and airy, large open pool area, south facing for all-day sun, protected from the winds, not overlooked or cramped in .... and Les Hirondelles was absolutely perfect! On the edge of the village, with open land on 3 sides, near 2 restaurants and the pretty church, short drive to the beach - and it's been our home for over 15 years now.
