Situado en la costa noreste de Corfú favorecida Koutsounada House es una propiedad elegante y contemporánea construida en el estilo de Corfú. Situado entre olivos en zona tranquila que se extienden a un acre que está amueblado con gusto y muy bien equipadas tanto para interior y exterior. Hay una gran piscina de 12m x 6m, una barbacoa y zona de comedor al aire libre, además de otros espacios de estar al aire libre. A sólo 300 metros detrás de la impresionante media luna blanca de la playa de Avlaki esta encantadora casa será de interés para las familias que buscan la reclusión con actividades para los más activos en la puerta. La playa es deliciosamente virgen y tiene dos excelentes tabernas (con acceso gratuito a internet sin cable), windsurf, vela ligera y alquiler de embarcaciones; paseos a caballo también está disponible en las inmediaciones. El pintoresco pueblo de Agios Stefanos está a un corto trayecto en coche, ya que es la ciudad portuaria de Kassiopi con sus tiendas, bares y una animada vida nocturna. supermercados locales se encuentran a 5 minutos en coche (20 minutos) y se entregará de forma gratuita.

We are a group of 6 female friends and rented this delightful villa for one week. it was a wonderful experience. The building is excellently furnished, with great art work , and the kitchen is well equipped. The beach below is gorgeous and the views across to Albania stunning. Fabulous pool surrounded by olive trees. Shopping was more difficult because we did not have a car. But we managed to walk to the shops and also to Kassiopi, and sometimes took taxis that were reasonably priced at 10 Euros

Very difficult to fault. For us, making the outdoor eating area rainproof would be the only thing that could possibly improve the house. I cannot rate it too highly or recommend it enough. A bare 2 minute stroll down the lane to the calm, clear and fishy waters of Avlaki beach, and the excellent food and service at Cavo Barbaro taverna which overlooks the bay. Also an enjoyable 30 minute stroll into Kassiopi each morning for bread, burning off enough calories to properly enjoy the bread without guilt or regret. The house looks amazing on the website, and arriving at the house was just like walking into one those fabulous photos. There is A/C in all the rooms, including the main reception room, comprising a well equipped kitchen, roomy and comfortable lounge area with large TV, and a massive dining table. The four bedrooms are all a good size with comfy beds, and there are 4 bathrooms. Outside: a ping-pong table (in the shade, no less), a really good and well situated BBQ, several places to sit and to eat, a large pool with plenty of sunbeds and an outdoor shower ... and all really private and quiet without being bothered by anyone. And, saving the very best for last, Koutsounada House has the first SHARP knife I have ever encountered in a rental property.

This was our 10th consecutive family summer holiday on the beautiful North East coast of Corfu. We have used this villa for the last five of those visits since, put quite simply, it is fabulous in every way and highly recommended. As always, we loved the pool and the short walk to Avlaki bay, where you can swim in cool crystal clear water with not too many people to spoil the tranquility or eat and drink at one of two tavernas on the bay. We even found a great new restaurant this year, Lismari. Great setting, super food and excellent service and they picked us up from the villa and took us back free of charge, what’s not to like! Great owners, great helpful local team, give it a go……as long as is not not when we want to be there

Amazing location and the villa is beautiful

We have lucked out on this beautiful Villa in Avlaki. Not only was it beautifully clean it is situated in an amazing quiet location yet only 200mtrs to the beach in the bay of Avlaki, with its crystal clear water.

Spacious, charming villa and gardens

Koutsounada House is delightful - tastefully designed and furnished, with plenty of space and a sociable, open-plan layout which lends itself brilliantly to groups who want to spend time together. The gardens and pool (which is very large and fresh) have been thoughtfully landscaped, and more than make up for the absence of a sea view. The villa is located in a picturesque corner of the island, which is very peaceful and has various interesting beaches and towns within walking distance or a short drive away. The area was perhaps a little more remote than we had anticipated, and we couldn't find a proper supermarket nearby, but we made do with the smaller convenience-type shops. The taverna at the end of the lane was very accommodating and serves great traditional Greek cuisine. Our other recommendation would be to hire a boat (we used Sotiris in nearby A. San Stefanos) so you can explore the breathtaking coast and visit some of the excellent waterside tavernas.

As a family group (2 parents and 3 adult daughters plus their partners) we stayed for the first week in September and it was blissful. We loved the decor of the pretty house which was as described and clean,spacious and well equipped. The pool is large and we spent many an afternoon chilling there. An early morning scenic coastal hike to Agios Stefanos is fun and you can grab some breakfast there and walk back or get someone to pick you up. Can recommend renting a boat from Avlaki Boats (on the beach) for the day. Communication both with the owner Patricia and the housekeeper Natushka was excellent and informative. We ate at both beach tavernas but far preferred the vibe/food at Cavo Barbaro. We hope to return and would love to stay for longer next time.

This was our 4th two week stay at this villa and before the end of the 1st week we were already discussing 2025. Missing out on a five star villa in a five star location was just too big a risk to take!

Wonderful

A wonderful stay at this beautiful house to celebrate my wife's milestone birthday. A week wasn't long enough! As a family of 8, we found the house to be spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We made good use of the amazing pool and loungers. The location is perfect for a peaceful stay. 5 minutes walk to the lovely Avlaki beach for a morning swim. The bonus was having a great Taverna, Cavo Barbaro at the end of the lane. They looked after us very well. We hired a car and found it essential for supermarket runs and to explore this lovely corner of Corfu. Thank you from the Speirs family for a wonderful stay!

Lovely villa in a superb position.

A wonderful week in Corfu staying at Koutsounada House. The villa was very spacious for 8 of us and the location behind Avlaki beach was perfect. The outside area feels a little overgrown around the house, so we chose not to dine outside due to the number of wasps. We spent one day by the pool which is fantastic and has plenty of very comfortable sun loungers. The house itself is very well equipped and everything works well, although the hot water is limited. Brilliant restaurants within walking distance such as Cavo Barbaro which is beautiful in the evening. Hope to return next year!

Highly recommended

This is our third two week stay at this fantastic villa and we have loved it more each time. The location is perfect with fabulous beaches and restaurants close by, including Kassiopi, which has many great places to eat and is only 10 minutes away by car. If you want to chill, this is fine too as the villa has everything you could possibly need. It is quiet with many cool places to sit outside and read, as we like to do, a well equipped kitchen, a barbecue, table tennis and air conditioning throughout. We thoroughly recommend this villa, we will be back and if we could give it a 6 out of 5 we would 😎

Wonderful Koutsounada

Our third visit to this wonderful villa on Avlaki bay. Everything was as good as previous visits which will ensure we come back many more times. Our grownup family for the first week and friends for the second is a winning combination. We visited our usual restaurants (Cavo barbera, Thomas’s, Nikolas, Kochili, and our brand new favourite, Kima in Kassiopi). Highly recommend.

Lovely stay in October

My wife and I stayed in the villa with our two girls (3 & 5) and family friends (2 further adults + 2 kids under 4). We found the villa to be comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped (especially the kitchen Vs other rentals we have experienced). The villa is quietly situated back from a nice beach, with two decent tavernas in walking distance. For shops, Kassiopi town and further restaurants, a car is certainly required but the drive is easy (5-10 mins). We discovered numerous lovely beaches in the area (some with parking and some requiring a hike to reach). The villa’s pool looked great but was too chilly to use in mid October (even though the outside temp was a lovely 25C). The sea meanwhile was delightful. The northeast is rustic, quiet and unspoilt by tourism and this villa made a great base for 2 families with young kids. Also really appreciated easy communication with the villa manager and 2 visits from the cleaner midweek to clean / change beds / change towels. Many thanks.

Family reunion

We stayed at Koutsounada House 10 years ago and everything was just as we remembered-only better. The addition of the ping pong table went down especially well with the young people! Communication from the owner and housekeeper was excellent, as before. Plenty of space for the 7 of us, and never a problem finding a quiet shady spot to read. In summary, Koutsounada is clean, spacious, comfortable and in an ideal spot -walking distance to the beach but nice and quiet back at the house!

5* Villa highly recommended

We have just returned from our 2nd 2 week holiday in this exceptional villa and like the first visit, we discussed options to return whilst we were still there as we all loved it so much. We have already made an enquiry and plan to book this property for July 2023. The property is exceptional in every respect and it is only a five minute walk from Avlaki breach and an excellent taverna. It is also ideally placed to explore the wonderful north east coast of Corfu, including the many restaurants in Kassiopi, only a short drive away. If you decide relaxation is for you, then there is an excellent pool at the villa, a lovely open plan living area, every cooking implement you could possibly need etc. The property is also spotlessly clean. In summary, book this villa, but please wait until we have secured our spot!

A very relaxing place to have a holiday. Very close to one of the nicest beaches, and the best taverna at the end the lane. The house is just lovely, great location, private, well designed, very comfortable with lots of shady garden areas and a fantastic pool. We had a veryrelaxing and enjoyable week and will definitely be back. Thank you for letting us stay.

Excellent Villa in a Quiet Location

Excellent accommodation if you want a top quality villa in a quiet location. The 2 restaurants / tavernas next to the beach and 5 minutes stroll away are both excellent. If you have a car then this a great base from which to visit Northern Corfu but it is also fine to just kick back with friends.

Fab

Party of eight , we all loved the pool, table tennis and house games. The house has ac which is essential in summer. The barbecue and outdoor dining area are great. The location is perfect with a short walk to Avlaki beach being a huge bonus. Taxi to kassiopi or Agni around €10 . We hired a boat for two days right from the beach which we highly recommend All in all a fab stay, thank you x

Another glorious holiday

We returned to this wonderful villa after a gap of 4 years. It was like coming home to an old friend. All every bit as good as my last review (see review posted June 2018) I forgot how lovely the pool was and the proximity of the sea and the fabulous Cavo Barbaro (taverna at the end of the drive) We had friends and family staying and the days slipped by seamlessly. Even the excitement of a biblical storm and a 6 hour power cut did not diminish our enjoyment. Also highly recommend Kochili taverna in Stefano- which we visited several times.

wonderful holiday

This is such a brilliant place to be based for exploring this amazing island. The house has every home comfort, we even had a log fire to keep warm in the evening. The pool and garden are a delight. The property is cared for so well and attention is geared to making the guests stay perfect. We wanted for nothing. Its in a beautiful location, coming down each morning from the house to the view out over the bay is breathtaking. We particularly recommend checking out the walks that are written about in a booklet in the house, stunning scenery off the beaten track. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

We are two families who have always holidayed together since our children were very small. We first spent a holiday in north east Corfu in 2005, and were so impressed with the area that we found ourselves returning year-on-year.

In 2008 we eventually found a suitable plot on which to build our much-loved Koutsounada House. Even after so many years we still look forward to holidaying together in our joint home, and take great pleasure in seeing how the house and garden have developed and matured over time.
