Ian, We are so pleased you had an enjoyable stay and appreciated the quiet location of the house. David and Elisabeth

So very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Lou Paradou!

So very pleased that you and all your family had such a lovely holiday at Lou Paradou and that you enjoyed walking up to Vence, which is a total delight isn't it? Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

We are so very pleased that you had such a lovely stay at Lou Paradou and that you clearly appreciated its character. It is our genuine wish that all our guests love it as much as we do- and you evidently did! There is nowhere as lovely as Vence and we are delighted that you also loved the area. Walking up to the bakers in the morning sunshine perhaps? It was our pleasure to have you as our guests.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. So glad you enjoyed your time at Lou Paradou. You were great guests. You'd be welcome back anytime. We think you were very brave travelling all the way from the USA with a three month old baby- intrepid!!

We are really delighted that you so enjoyed your stay in Lou Paradou and that the house, Vence and the surrounding countryside all lived up to expectation. After 25 years we still find it all magical and we love to share it with people, like yourself, who do too!! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a full and thoughtful review- it is much appreciated!

We are absolutely delighted that you so enjoyed your stay at Lou Paradou and loved the house and Vence. The happiness of our guests is very important to us and you were wonderful guests.

We are truly delighted that you had such a wonderful holiday!! You mention so many aspects of the region, Vence itself and, of course, our beloved Lou Paradou that make it our very special place. It sounds like you took every advantage of what was on offer and we are just glad that we were able to offer you some pointers. We would be absolutely delighted to welcome such lovely guests back again someday!

We are delighted that your birthday celebrations went so well! Our goal is always that our guests have a wonderful holiday and love Lou Paradou, Vence and its surrounding area as much as we do. During our many communications you repeated that you were ' loving every minute' - Françoise says you used the same phrase with her. This is exactly what we want to hear and I hope that my responses to your pre-trip requests for suggestions and advice regarding restaurants, shopping etc played a part in this. To address the issues that you wanted to bring to our notice: Obviously, we already knew about the DVD player and I phoned you immediately to apologise and to assure you that a new one was on its way. It was strange, as LG is a decent make and it had not seen much use. We had used it on a wet night with a takeaway at the end of June! I was afraid that DVD was still in the machine and when I tried to open it- this being the problem you encountered- I could hear the motor trying. When I prised the drawer open, the DVD I had left in there was indeed still there- and somebody had put a second on top of it!! I imagine only a child would have done this. No harm done anyway. If we need a spare, functioning player we now have one. We understand from Pierre that, when he delivered the new one to the house, there were, indeed, children 'running around'. This was unexpected as the booking was for six adults? These were the only children this summer except our own grandsons who emphatically did not ever watch any DVDs. We had also discussed the drains. I have now heard back from Thomas, the plumber, and understand that when he arrived to sort out the blocked loo you apologised and told him the blockage had cleared. He then checked the big manhole at the bottom of the garden and found a bit of grease and debris- as you would expect. There was no possibility that this caused the loo to block and he is absolutely adamant that it had nothing to do with your problem. We have never had a problem with this loo - the outfall goes down a large pipe that falls vertically about 15 feet to a large void- but will now put a little sign on the wall next to the loo saying that you need to hold the button down until the flush is complete- French flushes are different, perhaps, from English ones in this respect. We only found out about the curtain rail when I contacted the couple who followed you to welcome them and check that all was well- as I always do. She was very keen to make sure that I knew about it and did not think that they had pulled it off the wall. She said, as did you, that they were not bothered by it and did not want anyone to come and fix it. We have now seen it and it had come cleanly out of the wall. The wall was not damaged in any way and it was clearly not an issue of installation. These were newly installed in the spring to match the new decor. The ceilings are very high and a little care, perhaps, needs to be taken when pulling the curtains. This is why there are the pulling rods at the leading edge of them. We also did not know that the fire alarm had gone off. In view of the timing- first thing in the morning- and the enclosed location of the device, between the bathroom and bedroom, I would suggest that it was triggered by the use of an aerosol, deodorant possibly, as they are known to be sensitive to these. In many ways this was a positive, as it means the alarm is working as it should! The exploding lightbulb? I have no idea. Perhaps somebody had knocked the light over at some point and it was already fragile. We leave two drawers full of replacement bulbs in the kitchen for just such an eventuality. There should have been four large, red, decorative glass tiles on the table in kitchen. Their purpose is to protect our precious table from heated vessels. These seem to have disappeared. But no harm done, the table is undamaged. Once again, we are delighted that you had such a lovely holiday and thank you for taking the time to post your two photos which do capture the charm of the house.

Merci.

We are absolutely delighted that you had such a wonderful holiday! It makes us very happy to share our home with people who appreciate the house and Vence itself. The big pool is indeed wonderful when the weather is hot!

So pleased you all had such a wonderful holiday at Lou Paradou. It was great that the house was as lovely as you hoped from the photos! We're not professionals and they were taken on our phones, so what you see is actually what you get! Thank you for being such great guests!

We are really delighted that you so enjoyed your stay at Lou Paradou and loved the house. We will pass on your kind comments to Françoise, our agent, who did the meet and greet. We also love the feel of history the house evokes. We're pleased that you also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and main bathroom with its newly refurbished shower! The big pool is always a favourite! I apologise profusely about the leaves not being removed. The gardener always does this on a Thursday so I will check with him to see what happened during your stay. Thank you for taking such good care of our home!! You would always be very welcome in the future, should you return to Provence.

Thank you for your lovely review, Monique. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the unique charm of Lou Paradou and Vence. We were delighted to be able to make a small contribution to your special family celebration! We would be very happy to welcome you back in the future.

We are absolutely delighted that you enjoyed your holiday at Lou Paradou so much. This is all we want! We know how important this is - working hard year. You are right, we love our home and there is nowhere more lovely than Vence. Please do come back again and maybe next time we will actially meet. I would love that!!
