Preciosa casa de verano de 1920 en Cavtat, balcón con vistas al mar y jardín privado con piscina

Con éxito alquilado por más de 10 años, esta es una de las únicas casas de verano originales de Arts and Craft 1920 de Cavtat. La villa es muy especial, ya que fue construida y propiedad de una dama inglesa y su esposo local; se decía que eran amigos del rey Edward V111 y Wallace Simpson, quienes aparentemente se quedaron con ellos en esta casa durante su gira de viento dálmata. Costa en la década de 1930! La casa ha sido anfitriona de otros huéspedes muy distinguidos y durante el tiempo entre las 2 guerras mundiales, los visitantes famosos para visitar incluyen; George Bernard Shaw, Hilaire Beloc y Sidney y Beatrice Webb. Sus nuevos propietarios lo han restaurado con amor en una casa familiar cálida y amigable, y está amueblado con algunas piezas antiguas encantadoras especialmente traídas de Inglaterra.

La villa tiene un alojamiento muy espacioso y es ideal para 2 familias o un grupo. Las vistas panorámicas del balcón hacen que despertarse por la mañana sea una alegría y la terraza en el jardín es un lugar encantador para disfrutar a cualquier hora del día o de la noche. También hay una "casita" separada, que solía ser la casa de los sirvientes y ahora es un apartamento tipo estudio.

El jardín amurallado es exuberante con plantas y flores mediterráneas y goza de una posición muy apartada. Floranneve cuenta con una gran piscina y hay una cocina de verano / área de barbacoa para cenar al aire libre para esas cálidas noches de verano. También está la sala de estar 'marroquí', que es un área maravillosa para dormir y leer a la sombra durante esas tardes cálidas. Tenis de mesa, bádminton y otros juegos al aire libre están disponibles para una diversión extra. Y la casa está a solo 5 minutos a pie del mar, con sus bares, cafeterías, tiendas y restaurantes frente al mar, la ubicación de Floranneve es ideal. Cavtat es amado por todos los que lo visitan: una verdadera "joya" de un puerto, virgen y llena de historia, donde se ofrecen mariscos frescos y deliciosos vinos locales en excelentes restaurantes y bares locales, calas pintorescas rodean el pueblo peninsular y hermoso calles estrechas y pequeñas conforman la arquitectura frente al agua de 1700.

Very nice place with a fabulous host in an excellent fishing village. Only remark is the noise from the nearby airport with the planes landing quite frequently.

We had a great week at Villa Floranneve. The owner and house manager were extremely helpful before we arrived and during our stay. The house is set in large beautiful gardens close to the centre of Cavtat which is lovely and has a good selection of restaurants and bars, and plenty of places to swim off rocks or shingle. The garden, large pool and degree of privacy are the real attractions of this house. Internally the house was spotlessly clean and rather old fashioned but in keeping with its period. The modern kitchen was spacious and the main bathroom plus shower room on the top floor were nice. One small negative was the lack of a large umbrella next to the pool as it was very hot while we visited, however we moved some loungers into shaded areas in the garden. The teenagers loved the badminton court and tortoise in the garden. We felt the attic bedroom was quite dated and may be more suited to teenagers with the 1st floor kids room a better master bedroom as that had a larger, shaded terrace. Cavtat is a fabulous base for visiting Dubrovnik and we used the buses and boat to and from there, plus the friendly house manager took us to the hill above Dubrovnik in his large taxi, giving amazing views of the city, and collected us one evening from Dubrovnik, so a hire car isn't required. There is one small restauarant nearby that does take away pizza and grilled food, which can be useful if arriving late.Overall we had a fantastic holiday and can recommend the house.

Wundervoller Rückzugsort in der Nähe von Dubrovnik

Ein liebevoll renoviertes Haus aus den 20er Jahren eingebettet in einen großen Garten der mit alten Bäumen eingewachsen ist. Der Garten bietet ein großen Pool sowie ein Kunstrasenfeld für Volleyball oder Badminton. Der Hafen und das Zentrum des kleinen charmanten Ortes Cavtat ist 500 Meter entfernt. Praktisch: Vom Hafen kann man in 30 Minuten nach Dubrovnik fahren.

Simply Perfect!

Such a lovely house, in beautiful surroundings and within walking distance of everything, although I will admit the hill was a bit of a challenge at first! We have been to Croatia before but have fallen in love with Cavtat, as it ticks all our boxes as a family. We were looked after so well by our hosts, nothing was to much trouble and we are so looking forward to coming back next year! Thank you Charlie & Bozo 😊

Wonderful villa

This is a lovely house with fantastic amenities. Pool is superb. Location is great - quiet but 5 minutes walk from shops and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Amazing stay in Floranneve, Cavaat

Our family of 10 have just spent a fantastic two weeks in this wonderful house in Cavtat. Simply beautiful house and gardens with a lovely pool and Jacuzzi. It is very close to the town town centre, restaurants and some great swimming spots and if you ever need anything else to keep the family entertained Bozo the property manager is able to help arrange all sorts of activities. Couldn't recommend it more highly, the combination of Floranneve, Cavtat and Bozo made our vacation superb!

A perfect destination, Cavtat has fabulous peninsula walks with stunning views. Fresh market fish and plenty of restaurants. The harbour is lively with super yachts and plentiful ferries to Dubrovnik. There are numerous places for swimming and paddle boarding /kayaking. Everything is here. The house is private, quiet and has views of the sea from the top balcony. The kitchen is very well kitted out, bright and light and leads out to a dining table under cover. The outside spaces of this property are stunning, a gloriette/summer house in the garden and large BBQ and dining area. The swimming pool is large and there are lots of sun loungers and swing seats around it. The addition of the jacuzzi was a really lovely luxury as was the astro badminton court which was used daily along with the table tennis. The bedrooms are all clean and comfortable,and on the whole easy to feel at home with however the upper master suite could do with changing it's African theme to a more generic holiday bright room! Then it would be deserving of 5 stars. The house manager for this property was outstanding in every way,even helping with BBQ and some fishing! The short steep hill up to this property was needed after eating and drinking too much! A wonderful holiday,that is set up for relaxing and exercise in equal part! The Hotel Croatia is so close and has a fabulous restaurant and facilities.which is fun to visit and surprisingly quiet for it 487 bedrooms even when it is full! Stunning Floranneve gives you peace and space with the 10/10 location to enjoy everything in Cavtat.

Fantastic holiday home

My family and I spent a week in this fabulous home. I chose it because of its location but it offers so much more. It was so well stocked of all those little thing you miss from home....lots and lots of crockery, insect repellent, salt, pepper, 2 fridge freezers, well stocked utility, lots and lots of pool towels etc etc. It’s also lots of different beautiful areas of the sucluded garden to give everyone their own space. But the best thing of all it came with Bozo and his family right next door and it was like your very own concierge. Nothing was to much trouble for him to sort out for you. I highly recommend this home and we with definitely be back.

Stunning 1920s summer house

Had an incredible time in this stunning property. Situated in a secluded area in the hills above the pretty village Cavtat. Huge and elegantly decorated, the house has excellent amenities. Wonderful swimming pool, badminton court and table tennis. Cavtat is a quiet and elegant village with good range of restaraunts and watersports. Close to Dubrovnik, and possible for day trip to Montenegro. Was very sad to leave

Lovely house, great grounds, pool and gazebo. Very well equipped. Excellent house manager.

Stylish, well-furnished, older house. Very private garden and large pool. Lots of outside games to use including badminton and table tennis. Airconditioning in little house and roof suites. Fans in other rooms. Comfortable beds. Thoughtful details like British socket adapters and hairdryer. All kitchen/utility room white goods you need.Lots of garden and pool furniture and a delightful outside room/gazebo and large bbq area. Very convenient location close to airport and cavtat centre. Downside of this is being under the flight path so you have to stop talking in the garden when a plane going over but not many planes and we adjusted quickly. Some disco noise from the town a couple of evenings but mostly very peaceful. A good choice of restaurants in the town - superb food at Bugenvila - a great seaside location at Rokotin - sound recommendations from villa owner. Best lamb ever out of town at konoba vinica monkovic. Villa manager is actually an ecological scientist but looks after the house through the summer - very helpful and nice. Ferried us around in his boat and car and arranged bookings for us. Lovely family too - allowed us to use the pool and the little house on check out day as we had a late flight home. I would go back like a shot and I think any group who would respect the property would love it - kids, friends etc. Not ok for wheelchairs. I use a stick and it was fine for me; I used the little house and side routes to pool and kitchen entrance so only 3-5 steps at a time. Parking in cavtat is pay for but fine. Centre pedestrianised as is Dubrovnik so we took a lightweight travel wheelchair for getting around when I needed it. The house manager took us to the top of the cable car which we rode into Dubrovnik; we took the ferry back. Avoided traffic in Dub which is supposed to be bad. Having said which we never hit queues getting around inc dub bus station and airport.

Much to my childrens amusement, I am now a couple of years into enjoying my free London bus pass! I am married with three children and have lived and worked in London for the last 38 years. My family and I love adventure and so living in the city gives us a big incentive to get out and enjoy the wonderful places the world has to offer. We fell in love with Cavtat in 2002 after staying in a hotel just outside of the old port. We couldn't believe how beautiful it was and had no idea really about where we were staying.... but we soon did ... just venturing out of the hotel 100 meters was enough to convince us we had stumbled across a small slice of heaven. The local people mainly did it for us ... they are warm and friendly and very welcoming. In March 2003 we bought a very sad Floranneve (then known as Villa Epedaurus) and then spent along time with the help of our Croatian friends renovating it back to it's proud position now. Not the easiest of journeys but a great learning curve !! Please contact me anytime - I can help you with any questions you have concerning your proposed holiday.... Payments for the villa can be made through the website - so you are fully protected by their policies... this handy in the event I do not exist ... This house is perfect for 2 families who want enjoy their own private space together during their holiday. It is a great house for all age groups, for teenage kids, they have the nearby port and peninsulars to enjoy ... a very safe environment with lots going on. For the little ones there is the security of the walled garden and with lots of play areas ... they will never be bored !! For Mums and Dads, well, what can we say ... check the pictures and choose your spot: in the garden, by the pool, in the Gloriet, at the BBQ or in sitting room. Cavtat is close to the local airport of Dubrovnik - Like being on Caribbean island, you know when an aircraft is coming in !!
