Sunnybank Unas vacaciones con vistas!

Sunnybank es una propiedad de estilo villa en el corazón de Blackdown Hills, poco conocida pero hermosa. Situado a sotavento de Penncross Hill y alcanzado por un tranquilo camino rural, Sunnybank cuenta con inigualables vistas panorámicas del valle de Culm. Hemos amueblado Sunnybank en un estilo moderno pero lujoso con los requisitos de los huéspedes específicamente en mente. Se han proporcionado todas las comodidades de una gran cantidad de asientos cómodos en la sala de estar, electrodomésticos de alta gama y habitaciones con baño y camas super extragrandes. La calefacción central de gasoil mantiene la casa caliente cuando es necesario y hay agua caliente a demanda. Billar, futbolín y dardos están disponibles en la sala de juegos y un campo de petanca para los más activos al aire libre. Sunnybank tiene un gran jardín cubierto con terraza con mucho espacio para que los niños corran y los adultos se sienten y se relajen, tal vez disfrutando de un baño en nuestra bañera de hidromasaje. Internet WiFi está disponible, ideal para navegar por la web o mantenerse en contacto con familiares y amigos.

Nuestras semanas son de viernes a viernes y también ofrecemos escapadas de fin de semana de 2 y 3 noches. fuera de la temporada alta. También ofrecemos 4 noches de descanso a mitad de semana. Relaxing Break

Great property, ideally located if you just want to chill out and relax. Spotlessly clean , great layout and well maintained. The hot tub and games rooms are an added bonus and great communication with the host. The homemade cake was delicious and was a nice touch. Can highly recommend a stay at Sunnybank.

21st Birthday Weekend Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Sunny bank over a long 4 day weekend. The house is everything we needed it to be for a busy family of 7 adults and our host Cath was utterly fabulous. Thank you so much for having us in your beautiful property :)

Half term break

The property has all that we needed and the hot tub was well used. All the other facilities are easy to find and we enjoyed the pool table. One word of advice take your timr as the road around the property if very narrow and you can miss the entrance.

Worth a visit

Large, well equipped property. There was plenty of room for all the guests. Fabulous views of the countryside and blackdown hills. Very warm welcome from the host. Definitely worth a visit.

Such a great space. Huge bedrooms and great sociable open-plan living space/kitchen. Very comfortable and relaxed feel, very well-equipped but not overly fussy. The views were great and the hot tub was an added bonus. Total silence apart from the birds. The table tennis, pool table and darts gave us lots of fun family activities. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.

Fantastic holiday

We had the most fabulous holiday at Sunnybank. Cath was so accommodating and made us feel so comfortable. The pictures really don’t do justice. The house is spacious and the grounds large with a most beautiful view. It was enjoyed by our whole family of all ages. Really looking forward to coming again.

Beautiful setting

Cath was a great host and was just at the end of the phone for any issues… welcomed with a home made cake as well such a nice touch…we had booked to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary so 3 couples and had looked carefully at the layout we wanted.. as we were doing a celebration meal didn’t want people to be separated by the kitchen being shut off …. This cottage was ideal all open plan and sitting in the dining room you could still talk to people in the kitchen.. Hot tub was great as were the size of all the rooms… very well equipped home… our only comments to the negative were the beds… 2 beds were very low to the ground and also very very hard…so not such good nights sleep… we would certainly return but only if the beds were changed. Shame cause everything else was more than we expected…

Cath was so lovely and very flexible. The property is huge and has every facility you could wish for. Plenty of seating for everyone, great kitchen facilities and a delicious cake left for us. The views were amazing and the local pub does an amazing roast. Many thanks Cath for a lovely stay

A family getaway

So much more than a house with a view! (albeit, the view is amazing!)

We booked Sunnybank last minute, after COVID chaos, and we couldn't have been happier with the stay. The house is excellently equipped, location is perfect, and the owner Cath was delightful and helpful. We had an awesome time. Hot tub, stunning views, quiet location, BBQ, outside spaces, roomy rooms, plenty of bathrooms and space. Beds are comfortable. Excellent value! Thank you to Cath for all her help.

Amazing house and location¬

Where do I begin! This property was amazing. The house was immaculate. Wide open spaces inside and outside, with the rooms being massive with plenty of equipment/tools. The bedrooms were so homely with personal touches from Catherine. From the time I booked it, to arriving at the property Catherine the owner was amazing. The communication was brilliant. I would definitely stay there again.

A great place to celebrate our ruby wedding with friends. Something for everyone; from sitting in front of the fire to playing table-tennis or relaxing in the hot tub admiring the view.

Lovely break.

Great break, lovely house with excellent views. A bit remote but that’s how you get the views and relaxation. Hot tub was a wonderful bonus. There are plenty of games etc, table football, darts, pool, table tennis etc. Spacious area, large kitchen and garden. Host easy to contact and made sure we were looked after. Thank you.

Absolutely perfect! Amazing house and super host!

Cath was the perfect host. Super friendly and accommodating. She even baked us all a cake! The house is huge (plenty of room for 8 people), and was very clean. All amenities were provided and the hot tub was the added touch! 100% recommend Sunnybank!

Family get together for New Year

Great spacious property with just about everything you could possibly need, in a fantastic location with amazing views. Hot tub was a brilliant way to relax. Games room kept both children and adults entertained. The owner Cath had left us a homemade cake which was delicious. Lots of lovely walks which seemed to always end at the local pub, where Geoff the landlord was waiting with a smile. Great time was had by all.

Lovely property, warm welcome, peaceful relaxing and enjoyable

What a lovely short break we had. As a family with a wide range of ages (under 1 year to 80+ years) everyone was catered for brilliantly and there was plenty of space so that we didn't feel on top of each other. We were lucky to have nice weather so could enjoy the brilliant views from the living room and dining room windows and were able to go out and explore the surrounding areas, but if we had not had good weather there would have been plenty in the cottage to keep everyone amused. The cake and cider on arrival along with the warm greeting and tour from Cath was an added bonus 😀

Sunnybank overlooks Culm Pyne, the farm where me (Cath) and my partner Guy live and work. Our lives are shared with a variety of hounds and terriers and two' hairy ponies' whom I seem to spend all my spare time running around after! We grow cider apples for a living; they are sold to both multinational companies and local artisan cider makers. So it is very likely that if you drink cider you will have tasted our apples! I also run a small livery yard, so horses are to be found grazing in the surrounding fields.

We purchased Sunnybank due to its proximity to the farm. But mostly we purchased Sunnybank for the views; looking across the Culm Valley on a clear day you can as far as Dartmoor. We feel there is nowhere with a more spectacular setting in the Blackdown Hills. Sunnybank is only 15 minutes from junction 26 of the M5 motorway and is only 1/2 mile from Hemyock with its shops, pubs and range of amenities. Yet it is set in a very quiet location, ideal for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
