Puffins Cottage es una propiedad tradicional situada en el popular pueblo de Rock con estacionamiento para 3 autos (o un auto y un bote) y a solo 400 yardas de la playa de arena.

La propiedad fue completamente renovada en 2007.

En la planta baja hay una cocina estilo cabaña con vistas al jardín, con vigas a la vista que incorporan una gama de unidades modernas equipadas, así como horno, vitrocerámica, microondas, nevera, congelador, lavavajillas y lavadora / secadora. También hay un salón / comedor con techo de vigas y chimenea. Uno de los sofás del salón se convierte en un sofá cama doble.

Arriba hay 2 x habitaciones: una habitación doble (con baño en suite) y una habitación doble. También hay un cuarto de baño con WC y lavabo.

Al exterior hay un jardín en terrazas bien cerrado, así como un estacionamiento para 3 autos o incluso un auto y bote (el espacio es de 6. 8m x 5m).

Si bien aceptamos perros que se portan bien por un costo adicional de £ 30 por mascota, por semana o por un breve descanso, contáctenos para verificar si desea llevar más de un perro.

TENGA EN CUENTA:
Las reservas semanales comienzan los SÁBADOS solo entre abril y finales de septiembre. Cambiar el día de inicio en esta época ocupada del año tendrá un impacto en nuestras otras reservas.

Por lo general, no aceptamos descansos cortos durante las vacaciones escolares o entre abril y octubre, a menos que aún tengamos disponibilidad mucho más cercana al momento. Los precios de las vacaciones cortas se calculan sobre una base porcentual (no una tarifa por noche) teniendo en cuenta la ocupación máxima, e. sol. 2 noches - 75%, 3 noches - 80% y 4 noches - 85% de la tarifa semanal completa en ese momento y 5 - 7 noches costará el precio semanal completo.

ALREDEDOR DE LA ZONA LOCAL.
Rock está idealmente situado en la costa norte de Cornualles con los pueblos y ciudades cercanas de Port Isaac, Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Padstow y Wadebridge.
La ciudad tiene un fondo náutico con muchas actividades acuáticas, como vela, windsurf, excursiones de pesca por la costa y el ferry que cruza a Padstow.

En las inmediaciones de la cabaña hay varias playas, la más cercana es Porthilly Beach. Además, está Daymer Bay, una conocida playa de surf y para tomar el sol y la Iglesia de San Enodoc, que se hizo famosa por asociación con John Betjeman, el ex poeta laureado, que está enterrado en el cementerio.

Great location for Rock & Polzeath, two areas which we love. Comfortable accomodation, all you need when you are intending to spend most of your time out and about. Stunning coastal walks nearby. Would definitely holiday at Puffin Lodge again.

Rock Break

Puffins really worked well for us as it was a nice, clean cottage with plenty of room for 5 of us, (3 teens) and a dog. We spent most of the day on the beach, but it was a haven to return to for tea on the terrace. Fantastic Cornwall hols!

Lovely little cottage

The cottage parking was convenient. The cottage was as advertised. A cute but comfortable house. Nice walk to the beach. Nice area. Should the weather have allowed, I’m sure we’d have used the little garden area.

Puffins Anniversary holiday

Nice place spoilt by overgrown garden and problems with appliances. Nice walk down a foot path with the dog to Porthilly cove and easy to walk to Rock beach and Daymer bay.

Clean, well appointed cottage. Bathrooms are looking tired and probably should be replaced . The first time we used the en-suite shower, water poured through the lounge ceiling. We called the number given and a man came round , tested the shower and claimed it didn’t leak. We just had to use the other shower after this

Lovely Cornish Break

Stayed at Puffins for a week. Lovely cottage, as described in ad. Location was great - easy to walk to the village store and down to the beach (and Mariners pub!), with Porthilly Cove just around the corner. Cottage is nicely presented and very clean. When we had a small problem with the washing machine, the maintenance team was really quick to respond (thank you, John and Justin). Highly recommend and we will certainly book again.

Lovely place, great location

I stayed here with my other half and her mother at the tail end of June 2024. The cottage is spacious for 3 - 4 people and even has a sofa bed if needed. The two bedrooms upstairs are quite roomy, and the en-suite and family bathroom effectively work as two en-suites which is great. The cottage is well located - about a 15-minute walk to the ferry over to Padstow or a very short drive to the Rock Quarry car park just by it. It's also 5 minutes’ walk from The Mariners pub which is a nice place to eat but try to book it - we were there in the off-season really and it was popular so in high-season it must be heaving. The host Penny is very pleasant to communicate with too. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend the cottage and Rock to anyone who wants to explore in and around the Camel Estuary.

August Bank Holiday week

Easy and efficient booking of Puffins cottage. Email before our holiday included all the information we needed. Cottage has kitchen with ample plates, cups, glasses etc but short on pans for home cooking. Bedrooms and toilets clean and well equipped with cosy lounge and dining table. Great location with easy walk to beaches and ferry as well as shops, delis and restaurants.

Lovely cottage in a fabulous location - with a path down to Porthilly beach and near to central Rock

Terrific location - the cottage was simple but well equipped - we would love to come back! Minor faults - we missed not having a bath and the garden was overgrown making the table and pathways feel cramped;

June/July getaway break

Great little cottage to be based from in Rock to use as a base to explore the surrounding coastal paths and beaches. A quieter place to stay than Padstow but with easy access to it via a regular quick ferry. The restaurants in Rock serve good food at a reasonable price with great service. Thoroughly recommend it.

Superb location

Puffin Cottage was just perfect for us as a couple plus our labradoodle. The cottage itself was comfortable and spacious enough, as well very being well appointed with everything we needed. The cottage is in the most perfect location, with a short 50m stroll down to Porthilly beach, and just a 15 minute walk to Rock beach, bars and restaurants and 15 minutes the orher way to the supermarket. We are already thinking of coming back next year!

Dark, Damp and Dirty

The only good points of the property were the location to local amenities and a powerful shower. I have stayed in many cottages in Cornwall and this is the worst one ever. On arrival when we opened the door, the house smelt damp/foisty. There is lots of unusable dark wood furniture that’s either locked or like the wardrobe in the main bedroom, smelt so unpleasant I refused to hang my clothes in it for fear of the smell impregnating them. There’s general moisture in the air, over the week my clothes felt damp and any paper went soft including the cereal boxes. There are no useful facilities such as a razor charger/toothbrush point, lack of sockets, no where to sit for hairdryer/straighteners. The visitor guide is functional but just a copy and paste no personal touches anywhere in the cottage, it completely lacked charm. You are overlooked by people passing in every single room. The other big issue was cleanliness. Shocking to me that we had to leave at 9am to allow an 8 hour Covid clean when we arrived, cobwebs everywhere, food stain on sofa, marks on tablecloth and on the floor by the tv weeks of dust/fluff. I loved the area but was bitterly disappointed by the uncharming cottage and would therefore not be using your company again if this is the type of property you promote.

Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased you enjoyed staying at Rock. We are of course very disappointed that you were not happy with our cottage and especially with the standard of the cleaning. We do ask guests to contact us immediately with any problems as we would have liked the opportunity to remedy any issues immediately where possible. We do not state that there is an 8 hour Covid clean, but we must allow a full day for our properties to have the changeover clean done as the company we use also clean other properties in the area during the same day and we are not sure when they will be at ours. We are also sorry you felt the cottage smelt damp, it is an old property but we have never been told it smells before, especially of damp or we would certainly have tried to find why this was.

Great House, cleaning and communication with letting company average really

Great house and location would definitely recommend. Used tissues found under bed and sofas and furniture not cleaned underneath which was surprising given the additional COVID cleaning regime we were advised. Also reported TV not working twice and no response all week. Other than those bits can’t fault it. Thanks for a great stay.

Perfect Location

Lovely cottage in a great location, good off road parking. Lovely beach down the road with great access across too Padstow. The village its self was well stocked with shops etc. My only criticism would be is the master bedroom bed could've been bigger, with that said I'm used to a queen size bed so might be an unfair judgment :-) Would defiantly stay again!

Great Location

Cottage is spacious and the garden was lovely and caught the sun most of the day. Kitchen has a fantastic amount of utensils, plates, glasses etc. 10 minute stroll into Rock. We parked 2 large cars in front of the cottage, but not sure if you could fit 3.

Well located property

The property was extremely well equipped and very conveniently located. The walk down to Rock for the beach and pubs is just over 10 mins as is the walk up to the shops. We had a lovely stay and explored the Cornish coast which is beautiful.
