Bright airy home with plenty of private spaces to get away from each other. Well equipped kitchen, TVs in every bedroom. Great views that feel like being directly on the beach but with more privacy. Close to stores and restaurants.

Wonderful time

We spent a week here and had such a wonderful time. The location is really nice and convenient to the beach and groceries stores. We had 5 adults and 2 children and never felt crowded. We were able to play cards on the big breakfast table. I'd have my coffee outside each morning and listen to the ocean. The pool is really nice too. We had a great time and would recommend this property to anyone and we will definitely be back.

Great Location

We really enjoyed our 2 week stay. The house was clean and the location was great. The pool was cleaned twice a week and the woman who came was very nice and helpful. Our host responded quickly when we had some concerns after a tropical storm came through. He was also very nice when we realized we had forgotten our Chromecast.The grocery store, shops and some restaurants were walkable (a little long with small kids but it was fine in the stroller). We had two dogs and the area was very walkable for them as well. Beach access was easy and was only a 5 minute walk which was great with the toddlers. We would definitely return.

This house was perfect for our group. The location was great as we had 4 girls ages 12-16. We could allow them to go back to the house and beach by themselves! You were so close to the stores but never knew it because it was such a quiet cul da sec.

Great Beach House

Wonderful location near all the shops and restaurants but on a quiet street buffered from the traffic and noise of Hwy 58. House was very clean and well equipped with great ocean views and a really nice pool. This was our first trip to Emerald Isle and we ended up choosing the perfect house for us!

A pleasant surprise

We expected to, and did, love the house and location but were pleasantly surprised by how well-equipped the kitchen was. We prepared most of our own meals and never wished we'd brought a zester, spider strainer, pizza stone, etc. along because everything was there. In fact, the entire home was well-equipped.

Bright and beautiful spot at the beach!

Had a lovely stay in this beautiful home. The vista from the front porch is great, and having your own pool is amazing. The linen service provided plenty of towels. Some minor notes: if you are bringing dogs, there is not a way to block them from leaving the front porch area; perhaps bringing a large baby gate would be effective at the top of the stairs. There were no screen doors on the main room sliding doors. Fortunately we had no issues with insects with the continued ocean breeze, but had to ensure the dogs couldn't get out and then down the stairs off the porch. There are no pantry items (not even salt and pepper) so be prepared to bring all the food items you need to cook with. There is an ample supply of dishware, pots and pans and cutlery. The master bedroom is south-facing and lovely, and is very bright in the morning! If you are easily woken, bring a sleeping mask to sleep in :) The property manager was very friendly; I accidentally mixed up our check out time, and he was so understanding with us trying to hustle out of his way! Overall our stay was great, and the minor things I pointed out did not detract from the time we spent there. I definitely recommend this property!

We will Definitely be back!!

This house was perfect for us plus our little pup! We used the The gas grill almost nightly to prepare our dinner and the kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to help. Our boys loved spending afternoons in the pool after our return from the beach. Which the entrance is literally just a few steps across the road. And we loved being able to feel the breeze and see the beautiful ocean from both the second and third story balconies. We are already trying to narrow down our travel dates back to this house next summer. Thanks Charles- for sharing your wonderful house!

Great Place For Families with Kids and Pets

We had a great week at Turtle Reef on Emerald Isle with six adults, two kids, and a pup! The house is in a prime location with beach access right across the road and a grocery store a few minutes away. This is our second week staying here, and it's perfect for our family! Fingers crossed for a little more sunshine next year though.

First time @ Emerald Isle!

Loved the location. Could hear the waves while at the pool! Close to shopping. Just wasn’t prepared for nothing to be at the house to get started(toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap) Otherwise great place. Nice and clean. Our family enjoyed our stay. Will definitely go back❣️

Wonderful family vacation home at a perfect location on Emerald Isle

My family vacationed at "Turtle Reef" and had a wonderful week. The home was located perfectly in a quiet neighborhood and just across the road from the beach access. The access is limited to a few spots of golf cart parking so the beach was never crowded and there wasn't any traffic on the street. We were traveling with four small children and had no problem riding our bikes and scooters up and down the street safely. The location is perfect for access to a beautiful bike trail that allows you to ride your bikes to many stores, restaurants, and attractions. Most of the trail is off of the main road too which makes it very safe for kids. We drove the entire island and feel that this home is located in the optimal location to visit Emerald Isle. We visited the local water park and had a wonderful morning there and it was one of the highlights of the trip for my four year old. The home was very nice and worked well for our family. My father who does not get around as well as he used to enjoyed having a bedroom on the ground floor which limited his requirement to climb up and down stairs. There are beach views from each of the decks at the home, and with the pool being on the beach side, you feel like you've never left the beach. If you are utilizing the extra ground floor room as a 5th bedroom with the trumble bed, be aware that there is not direct access to the ground floor bathroom and you will either need to go into the other ground floor bedroom or go to the main floor restroom. There is a child gate going from the main floor to the ground floor which is great if you have kids. We would recommend bringing an expandable gate to keep young ones from venturing up the steps if you are traveling with young ones. The beds were wonderful and the TV's were up-to-date and the internet worked well. We cooked dinner in most nights and the kitchen was stocked well and there was never a need for something we didn't have. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had and made the whole experience painless and enjoyable. We reached out to him once during the check-in process and once about a malfunctioning appliance which he responded to quickly and offered us a solution. If we chose to vacation at Emerald Isle again, we would definitely keep this home on our short list. Wonderful trip, wonderful location, wonderful home. Thank you for allowing us to utilize your home!

This home was completely remodelled in 2015. It is second row but feels like ocean front. Private pool. Pet friendly, Walking distance to everything. The owner is only 5 minutes away for any repairs.
