Acogedora cabaña catalogada de grado 2 en la histórica High Street de Wells-Next-The-Sea

Ubicado en la histórica calle principal, Elgin Cottage está a solo unos minutos de las tiendas, cafeterías, pubs y restaurantes, a 400 metros del bullicioso puerto y a un corto paseo (o muy cerca en coche) de la playa. Perfecto para unas vacaciones familiares o una reunión con amigos, es la base ideal para explorar esta impresionante zona del norte de Norfolk. La cabaña está llena de carácter y está amueblada con un alto nivel. El edificio tiene tres pisos. En la planta baja hay una cocina bien equipada y una cómoda sala de estar con una mesa de comedor plegable. Una puerta de la cocina conduce al jardín del patio. Las escaleras desde la sala de estar conducen al dormitorio principal con vistas a High Street. Un baño con ducha también se encuentra en este nivel. Las escaleras a las que se accede a través de una puerta desde el dormitorio principal conducen a una habitación grande con dos camas, escondida en la parte superior de la casa. Una puerta de la cocina conduce a un jardín en el patio y a un edificio anexo con lavadora y secadora, inodoro y ducha eléctrica.

Tenga en cuenta que el acceso al segundo dormitorio es a través del dormitorio principal.

NB Estamos muy contentos de hacer pequeños descansos fuera de la temporada de vacaciones principal, pero ignore la cotización que Owners Direct le da, ya que solo dividen la tarifa semanal por siete y la multiplican por la cantidad de días. Elgin Cottage - comfortable shabby

The positives - lovely towels and bedding, excellent shower, heating and TV channels, reliable wifi. Useful to have a washing machine and tumble drier as well as a dishwasher. Not so good - the description of the cottage says there is parking but not that it is on street, some distance away. The instruction manual for the oven was not there, so it took a while to work out how to set the timer to make it work . The standard of cleanliness was not as we would expect. The oven needed cleaning, windows inside needed cleaning. There were cobwebs on the windows and walls and the window frames and sills were dirty. The bathroom needs a good scrub around the taps and shower fittings.

Sweet little cottage

It was a sweet little cottage for just the two of us. Very small with a tiny outside courtyard with a right of way through it. Free Parking was difficult almost non existent. I bought a weekly day and overnight ticket at the Norfolk district council car park for £28. Kitchen was well equipped as far as I could see but my granddaughter and I ate out. Queues at the restaurants and cafes in early July. Coastal hopper buses are excellent and go from just near the cottage. Beach down at the Pinewoods is wonderful with lovely sunsets. £28.

Great accommodation in a brilliant location

Lovely two bedroom cottage in central Wells, moments from the shop and the quayside. The property was small but well presented throughout, the kitchen had everything you might need and had a very small courtyard outside the back door. Only downside is that the neighbouring cottage has right of way- which was interesting with a family with 3 small children and a large buggy to get past the table/chairs!

Good location and well equipped. The booking process was really easy and the owner responded quickly. Also, just before our stay, we were updated with everything we needed to know in relation to coved restrictions. Definitely stay there again

Lovely stay

The booking process was made very easy. My son loved the "pent house" bedroom, however it was extremely warm even with the owners supplied (god send) fans. The location of the cottage was great, the layout of the cottage worked for us as a family. We would return to the cottage but a few thoughts, the cleaner needs to clean the bathroom plug holes as when showering the water remained in the bath. Thank you

Cute cottage, perfectly located

We really enjoyed our time at Elgin Cottage. It's in a wonderful spot, close to everything and there is so much to do in the local area, just wish we'd stayed for longer! The cottage is cosy and very comfortable and well equipped. There's no parking but this wasn't a problem.

Lovely cottage, perfect location

We very much enjoyed our stay at Elgin Cottage. The cottage itself was very comfortable and tastefully decorated and the location was just ideal. We loved the town of Wells itself and ate out at a different restaurant every night (all a very short walk from the cottage) and made full use of the excellent Coasthopper bus service to do some superb walks along the Norfolk Coastal path. We look forward to returning in the summer.

Great cozy cottage, brilliant location easy walking distance of restaurants, pubs, beach etc. The cottage was well equipped with everything you need, nice and clean too. One minor blip if it's two couples staying, then having to go through the other bedroom during the night to the bathroom is not ideal at all. Unfortunately that would put us off returning again which is such a shame as we loved it. Great for a family.

Compact and Comfortable Cottage

Everything we expected. Small but comfy and cosy. Very close to all that's going on in Wells such as shopping, eateries, coastal walks. Surprising how much was going on this time of year in the general area. Only the local Stately Homes were closed but we were aware of that. However the gardens of most were still open as were the shops attached to them. The North Norfolk Coastal Path is easily accessed going north or south and takes you to some interesting nature reserves, ideal for dedicated 'twitchers'. The accommodation was fine for us two and I would imagine adding a couple of young children would not cause undue problems but 4 adults may find it a bit too 'cosy'. As long as you are aware of what you are renting and it's restrictions we have no hesitation in recommending this lovely little property, suitable for any time of year.

Cosy cottage, perfect location

We had a lovely long weekend at the cottage. Very comfortable, well equipped and the ideal location, right in the centre of Wells and within walking distance of everything in the town. There is so much to do and see in this beautiful area of North Norfolk that we are planning to return to Elgin Cottage in the summer.

Well situated cttage

We really enjoyed our visit to north Norfolk. Wells is an excellent base with plenty of restaurant options and an attractive harbour. We had a wonderful meal at Sands restaurant. The beach at Holkham is amazing! The cottage itself was a bit disappointing, though very conveniently situated. The decor is dated and areas were very grubby. Not up to the standard we have had in recent years in various parts of the country.

Lovely comfortable cottage

The cottage was easy to find and very centrally located. The beds were comfortable, the linen good and generally there was everything we needed. It had a lovely homely feeling so it was easy to settle. It was fine for a weekend but too compact for longer for us as we are a family of 5. The loft bedroom is accessed through the master which was a pain. Also there is no designated eating area so we ate out or on laps. For this reason, it was great for a weekend but not for longer. Location perfect. Right in the centre of everything.
