Situado en el corazón de una antigua aldea de Andalucía, a menos de una hora del aeropuerto de Málaga, con vuelos regulares desde todos los principales aeropuertos del Reino Unido, y sólo un corto trayecto en coche o autobús a Nerja, Frigiliana es uno de los más pintorescos de Andalucía 'Pueblos Blancos' . Esta pequeña casa está llena de carácter y encanto. El pueblo es un laberinto de calles estrechas, adoquinadas bordeadas de casas blancas y mejor a pie ya que hay un acceso muy limitado en coche. El antiguo centro histórico de Frigiliana, claramente morisca en apariencia y diseño, es un laberinto de calles y callejuelas estrechas y sinuosas. Explorando estas calles estrechas usted descubrirá muchas pequeñas tiendas que venden productos locales y artefactos. Hay muchos bares y restaurantes en todo el pueblo. Situado en la Sierra de Almijara, Tejeda y Alhama de su historia ha sido registrado camino de regreso en el siglo 16. La colina que domina el pueblo, El Fuerte, fue el escenario de la batalla final, y la derrota, de los moriscos de la Axarquía en su rebelión de 1569. En la cima de la colina hay algunos restos de la antigua fortaleza de la que se dice que muchos moros se lanzaron de ella en lugar de ser capturados por los cristianos. El río Higuerón se ejecuta en el valle debajo de la ciudad, el paseo hasta que ofrece unas impresionantes vistas del valle y de la ciudad y es un lugar maravilloso para un paseo naturaleza o picnic.

Nice house

Its a beautiful house in centre off the village it has a few stairs to get to house but its a beautiful place to use as a base and has its own sun terrace on the fourth floor but everything is there and if you need anything you just need to ask Will be back soon

La casa esta bien pero el baño es muy incomodo para ducharse, la ducha esta bajo una escalera y tiene muy poca altura..una persona ya de 1,75 tiene q ducharse encogido y es muy pequeña..tiene muchas plantas porque es estrecha hay que subir muchisimas escaleras...demasiadas y para entrar a la casa tambien...en el pueblo se aparca fatal y no se puede entrar con el vehiculo..para ir con equipaje es muy incomodo...pwro estaba muy limpia y tiene una terraza en la azotra con unas vistas preciosas y el pueblo es una maravilla...

Dirty appartment terrible communication

Checking in was ok and communication was good untill we arrived at the appartment. There was a lot of mold in de fridge food stains in all pots and pans. Floor wasn't clean hairs every, also in the shower. Stains in the towels and so on. We cleaned the entire appartment and contacted the owners. Its now 7 weeks later 0 response. VRBO communication isnt perfect either we didnt recive a copy of our complaint. Untill now 0 action has been taken so we decided to write a review. Everything about the appartment and communication makes it clear that the owners dont care and just want to make some money. The surroundings are lovely and Frigliana is a good place to stay as a couple. Just find another appartment, there is no protection from the sun on the roof. Take in mind that the appartment has 4 floors. 1. bedroom and bahtroom 2. living room 3. kitchen 4. Roof. When sitting on the roof the toilet is pretty long walk. Was ok for us, but isnt for everyone.

A Diamond In The Rough

Loved the view , the village of Frigiliana, the people and the experience. The apartment has many, many positive features. The view from the balcony on the roof is awesome. It has all the basics needed....except wifi. This is not a property for those of limited mobility... it’s a climb. But, with a couple of upgrades to utensils and general housekeeping equipment ... wonderful experience.

Fairytale village

We stayed for 9 days in June in this beautiful village. Our property was a lovely traditional Spanish 4 storey house. The property had everything you could have wanted (except for WiFi, which it had advertised as having). We had done a lot of reading up on the village so we knew to expect lots of steps, and believe me there were 😃 plenty of lovely places to eat or just have a drink. Lots of lovely wee shops all up and down the streets. Frigiliana was kept immaculate and has kept all its old charm, we even saw the mules helping the builders with transporting their materials. Would definitely recommend this beautiful village and this property we stayed in. Great size, good kitchen and dining area and of course a lovely roof terrace.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

in einem sehr schönen Haus, das allerdings etwas handwerkliche Zuwendung gebrauchen könnte. Für den Preis und mit der Dachterasse aber völlig okay. Ich komme gern wieder. Dann bring ich aber eine Dose Ballistol zum Schmieren der Riegel mit. 😁

Veldig sjarmerende leilighet. Med ett rom i hver etg ble det mange trapper så må være frisk i beina, mye trim. Sentralt i en fantastisk koselig by! Anbefales på det varmeste!

Über den Dächern von Frigiliana

Wir waren bereits in Frigiliana und hatten nur 2 wesentliche Kriterien: Es sollte im alten Teil des Ortes liegen und eine Dachterasse haben. Diese beiden Kriterien waren erfüllt, so dass wir völlig zufrieden waren. Das Haus ist alt, liegt an einem Treppenweg und erstreckt sich inkl. Dachterasse über 4 Stockwerke, mit engen steilen Treppen. Man muss also bereit sein Treppen zu steigen und sein Gepäck hochzuschleppen. Es ist insgesamt eher einfach eingericht, ohne Wlan und TV, aber das war für uns unwichtig. Es hat eine schöne große gut ausgerüstete Küche und vor allem ein Dachterasse mit Blick. Die anderen Räume sind eher dunkel, dafür bei Hitze aber auch angenehm kühl. Wir haben uns auf jeden fall wohl gefühlt!

Beautiful location with fabulous veiws

We had a wonderful 7 night stay in this lovely, basic but well equipped Andalusian house in the old part of Frigiliana, which is a beautiful village to explore. The views from the terrace are wonderful and well worth the 3 flights of stairs! The house itself is typically Spanish, we spent most of our time in the bright and well equipped kitchen and on the terrace enjoying a vino or two! Frigiliana has some small but well equipped supermarkets and good restaurants. Nerja is a 15 minute bus ride (very reliable service and only 1 euro) We had no problem locating the property, due to the excellent directions from the owner. The only issue was the lack of a parasol on the terrace, it was really hot during our stay and some shade essential, remedied by the purchase of a beach umbrella. We are really looking forward to our second stay in a few weeks time!!

Wrong German Description, lovely views from the rooftop, dirty dishes

We loved Frigiliana, but would not come again to this house. The german description here in the app says there would be wifi in the house and sunprotection on the rooftop - both is not the case! For us two reasons why we booked the house. The view from over there is amazing, allthough many houses in the village offer that. What we didn‘t realised before and what photos do not really tell you is that house is built like a tower and that you have 4 floors (rooftop included). Livingroom and kitchen are each a one-room-floor. Bathroom and bedroom are in the first floor. So the house keeps you fit when you go up to the rooftop and forget something down ;) Sorry for being honest, but the dishes, knifes, bowls and pots in the kitchen were dirty. We don‘t expect to have it like home (we did a lot of that kind of houses with companies like homeaway), but this time we were not satisfied with the hygiene situation. Last thing to say: the agent in Frigiliana sometimes was not available for us. So there was no Communication about the check out. Good thing: She reduced the price due to the non existing wifi.

Es hat alles bestens gepasst. Das Haus ist auf jeden Fall für zwei Personen gut geeignet und es liegt in zentraler Lage in der Nähe der Kirche in Frigiliana. Wir waren damit gut zufrieden.

Simple house in the most picturesque part of Barrio Morisco

We enjoyed our one week stay in Calle Garral. At first we had a lot of rain and it was very cold, but there were space heaters and many blankets in the house. We had many good hikes. To El Castillo, Acebuchal, at Cantarrijan playa, and to El Fuerte. We left 2 bamboo walking sticks in the attic. ( Don’t know how we would come down without them) There was sun sun on the terrace from 10:30 to sunset 8:30. Mid april. You can go to Plaza 3 Culturas and meet the morning sun. The house is near to the church, but the bells in the former mosque keep silent from 10 to 8. The lokal wine was sweet and good, and we also drank water from the tap. The house was clean, and the beds were good, with Scandinavian duvets and new blankets. We made shade on the roof by means of an old blanket, rolled on the timber like a Jewish Torah. During the stay we felt more and more at home, and we would like to come back... inshallah! Los daneses

The property was basic but met our needs for the time we had in Frigiliana . The views however we're spectacular . Loved its location and quirky setting .

In the heart of Frigiliana

Great base for exploring Frigliana, located on one of the most stunning streets in a village famed for its picturesque charm. Theres plenty of room for two, the house is quite spacious with all the basics that you require for your stay. The views from the rooftop sundeck are fantastic and you aren't overlooked. Really the perfect place to stay to enjoy Frigiliana.

No frills house in need of some care.

As everyone has already said this house is very basic and in need of decorating and updating but this is reflected in the price. Even so there were no kettle and toaster when we arrived I had to ring the agents to bring them they said they didnt realise they were not supplied! the iron was also not working and kept blowing all the fuses.All appliances and equipment should be checked before tenants arrive. This house is up 36 steps directly behind the church there are also 2 flights of steep stairs inside the house so you really need to be fit to stay here especially in the heat. The ground floor on the photos shows a ground floor twin bedroom, and as you step through the front door another bedroom with a futon, this is now a hall.These photos need updating. The bathroom has plenty of hot water but a very small shower so if you are tall watch your head! Living room with bed settee and Juliette balcony is on the 1st floor. 2nd floor is a fair sized kitchen which is quite a trek from the front door with bottles of water and shopping.Old style fridge with icebox ,if you put washing in machine on 40 degrees on setting M it will not spin so turn dial to D for spin cycle. The roof terrace is small with only one sunbed usable the other broken,also no base for the parasol of which there are 3 all in a state of disrepair ,as someone has previously said there needs to be a bamboo roof over half the terrace. The views from the roof are spectacular and with some attention this could be a lovely house in a beautiful village with lots of bars and restaurants and some good value little supermarkets with local produce. Market day is Thursday 9-2 at the bottom of the village in front of bar Virtudes,bus to Nerja only takes 10 mins and is only one euro and very reliable.This was my 3rd visit to Frigiliana and im sure it wont be my last .

Un bon rapport qualité prix dans un village magique

Très beau village tout en hauteur, on grimpe sans cesse mais la vue et les ruelles typiques sont magnifiques. Le logement est confortable mais ATTENTION lui aussi est tout en hauteur! Il y a 4 niveaux! Au rdc: 1 chambre et 1 sdb. Au 1er: le salon. Au 2nd : la cuisine et au 3ème: la petite terrasse très ensoleillée. D'ailleurs des cannes ou stores sur le toit de la terrasse seraient nécessaires car le seul petit parasol fait difficilement assez d'ombre pour 2. Il ne faut pas craindre les escaliers... dans le logement ET le village car on foit laisser la voiture tout en bas et grimper à pied! Mais le prix défiant toute concurrence nous fait vite oublier ces petits désagréments... Frigiliana est vraiment un havre de paix et, somme toute nous recommandons cette location, il faut juste être au courant surtout pour des personnes qui se déplaceraient moins facilement!

Frigiliana is a little piece of heaven, visually stunning, lots of good cafes and restaurants and lovely friendly people. The house met all my needs, I particularly loved the roof terrace with it's amazing views down over the valley to the sea.
