Good Place & Location

While the apartment is nice I would not say it is "luxury". It is comfortable but given the age it is not the cleanest. We bought bleach to clean the bathrooms when we arrived as there was mildew in the showers. Also important to note there are 107 steps to the apartment from below so it is not the easiest to get to with luggage. Overall for the money it is a decent apartment with a good central location to explore Como.

Great location

Great hosts and a great location. Property size was perfect for family of 4 adults and 2 children. Close to a few little bars and restaurants so just about suitable without a car.

Great views over Lake Como

The apartment has fantastic views of Lake Como from the front balcony, lounge & 2 main bedrooms. The third ‘bedroom’ has a bed settee which (in my opinion) is not suitable for 2 adults but as there were only 4 of us this was not a problem. The outside space is large & great for BBQ’s & you can choose between sun & shade at anytime of the day, although it is overlooked by an apartment block at the rear. I think that the apartment was slightly overpriced in that it is not as luxurious as we were expecting, for example there is just enough room to walk around the bed in the bedrooms and the bedding was mismatched and rather tired. Overall it is a very nice apartment but a car is essential due to it’s location.

Sheer perfection.

The penthouse ticked all the boxes. We literally could not keep away from the lake view balcony. Laglio is very tranquil with a nice safe and upmarket feel to the place with some nice restaurants and a couple of bars which we could walk to and of a night time we dined on the rear terrace. There are around 100 steps to the apartment but that in reality did not bother us as in 2 minutes we had parked the car and were at the home enjoying the view! There was also a private garage the lovely manager Julie pointed out to us available a few minutes walk from the home however we did not use it as always ample parking beneath the stairs. Villages such as Argegno and Cernobbio either side of the residence were easily reachable and offered more options for dining and shopping so we are glad we took the owners advice and hired a car. A special mention to Julie who met us on arrival and gave us a plethora of local tips including where to hire a boat and details of the daily markets around the lake. We loved our stay here in Laglio and will definitely be recommending this home to friends!

Only 3 Stars due to annoying issues.

There is a fantastic view from the front balcony of the appartment. It is facing east with morning sun. The appartment is renovated and nice, but not luxury. There is a large terrasse behind the appartment but unfortunately there is no privacy due to a house right behind the property - this is not shown on the pictures. When we arrived late saturday afternoon there was no parking available for us close to the appartment and only after three days we were told that there is private parking approx. 500 m down the road. There is a nice shared pool with only three sunbeds for 15-18 people. The view is fantastic, but due to the issues we can only rate this rental appartment 3 Stars .

House was very nice. One of bedrooms is small, perhaps good for child. There was not enough vineglasses. And stairs to house are difficult to go, so not for people, who has bad legs. Susanna

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location

We had a wonderful week in Laglio in this great apartment. The views are simply stunning which the pictures in the add also shows. We only used the terrasse towards the water and not the backside where the larger table is. Laglio is a lovely little city, but the grocery shopping possibilities are limited. We did find a very small shop up the street to buy some freshly made bread, and any other grocery shopping we did in Como. There are some few places to eat in the city, and otherwise the neighbouring cities of Brienno, Lenno and especially Tremezzo provide some cozy places as well. The private parking was very nice to have as the communal parking available down the stairs was more or less always full (and mainly for small cars). Aircondition was super nice to have. All in all this is a fantastic apartment which deserves a high score and we would consider going there again.

Excellent apartment with stunning views

The apartment is very nice, and the terrace around provides enough space for everybody, and the choice of sun or shade. The air-conditioning and the BBQ-possibilities were appreciated and added to the comfort and quality of the stay. The pool was nice and clean, and it is also possible to take a swim in the Como lake just across the street. Be aware that there are quite a few stairs from the road and parking up to the apartment. No problem if you're fit and doesn't carry too heavy luggage. Also, the neighbourhoods are quiet with only a limited number of restaurants within walking distance.

A Truly Stunning property

We have stayed at Lake Como for several years. This year we stayed at the Penthouse apartment in Laglio. The apartment was spacious and very well equipped with everything we could ask for. The views from the beautiful, tranquil balcony were quite spectacular. We all had the most magical stay in this haven and cannot Thank Italian apartments enough for their welcome and excellent service. We will definitely be back next year

Penthouse paradise

10 out if 10 for this lovely laglio pad. We had a wonderful time, the home had the most amazing views, we enjoyed sunbathing on the wrap around terrace and cooking up a bbq in the large garden terrace of an evening. Laglio is quiet and tranquil and was just right for recharging our warn out batteries! At night we would wander down to a couple of lakeside restaurants or the wine bar to enjoy an aperitif under the stars, bliss! The home has been well appointed (always a relief when booking online) and Julie the house manager, was a real star, nothing was too much trouble for her even booking a wonderful table at The Crotto restaurant which was a real highlight of our stay as well as pointing us in the right direction for which delis the locals shopped at to villages to visit, Cernobbio and Argegno near by offered a flavour of local life but we were glad we chose Laglio as it really is so serene. We did not bump into George Clooney so we will just have to book another visit. Shame!!

Eight years running

Another three weeks of joy and happiness. The apartment as usual was in good nick, although the satellite system needs upgrading as the reception was much poorer the n usual and ruined our watching of t he Olympics. But apart from that a perfect stay and the weather was great. Already reserved the same three weeks next year

Penthouse paradise!

We booked the penthouse via italian apartments for our summer holiday as part of a two centre trip. The process was easy from start to finish and Gemma who met us on arrival was lovely to deal with. The penthouse IS exactly as advertised and even exceeded are expectations. Spacious, wonderful wrap around balcony and terrace and a view that you could never hope to better! Laglio is a pretty, little village away from the tourist masses. No wonder George Clooney lives here, the only problem is we didn't bump into him much to my disappointment! Oh well, we had better book for 2016! Thanks once more to Gemma and the team.

4th Year

This was our fourth year here and we love it so much we have already booked for 2014. Peaceful, well appointed apartment, with all mod cons. Fantastic selection of restaurants all nearby. Weather in August ideal. What more could you ask for.
