Stunning location

This is a beautiful house with the most spectacular view down the valley! Kids and adults loved the pool, either jumping in repeatedly or relaxing on the sun loungers. The house itself is huge, well equipped and a cool escape when the temperature rose. The location of the house is on a road but that didn’t bother us. We had a hire car which we felt was essential ( although there was a small bus that regularly went past the house) it was a short drive to the nearest village (you can’t walk anywhere from the house due to the road and the steep terrain) there is a lovely gelato place in Monti, a good Lidl in Aulla and we had an amazing lunch up the road in Comano after a great walk. We did a lot of driving in order to visit various sites but the Italian roads and tolls were easy to navigate and the scenery is so beautiful. Trips we made: Pisa, Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure and we particularly like the town of Lerici. We had a great holiday and I’m missing that wonderful view from the pool!

A little love and attention could make this a beautiful place.

The situation and area are beautiful and there is much to like about this villa, particularly the large communal cooking area which enables cooking and chatting, and the pool is in a lovely situation. However the place is somewhat “randomly equipped” with plenty of brandy glasses but no wine glasses; lots of dinner plates but no pasta bowls; a kettle with a broken lid, rusty pans (which Marta removed when we showed her) and no barbecue tools (we bought some). There was no attempt to repair a toilet broken by previous guests during our fortnight there. A little more attention to detail - pots of flowers outside and expandable tables in the kitchen and on the terrace so all can be seated - would really improve the villa. Having said all this we did thoroughly enjoy our stay and none of this spoilt our holiday. An issue that visitors need to be aware of is that the WiFi is really poor. We were very surprised that we were expected to pay extra for WiFi in advance of arrival and very frustrated with the quality - it often did not work at all and was never good enough to download attachments. We were told it couldn’t be improved (even though we could get great WiFi at a local restaurant) and the option was having it turned off completely or half what we paid for it refunded! My advice to guests would be - if you need WiFi do not book this villa! However - having said all of the above - the owner and the local rep, Marta, were always available when contacted and we were made to feel welcome. The villa is large and comfortable and in a lovely place.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, we are pleased you had an enjoyable time at our villa. We are sorry you found the kitchen equipment random and inadequate, at the start of the season it is fully equipped, but there are unfortunately breakages and damage along the way. We rely on guests reporting breakages so we can replace items.We appreciate your suggestions for pasta bowls and we will certainly supply them for next year. The kitchen table is extendable, seating up to 12, but we take on board about the outside dining and are looking into getting a larger table. There is a set of BBQ equipment, but it must have been moved out of sight. As to the wifi, being located where we are in the mountains it can be a little slow. Since your complaint during your stay we have contacted the company and they have improved the speed to 5-8 MB. Thank you once again for taking the time to review our property and we would be happy to welcome you back.

Propriété agréable

Maison agréable, bien équipée, notamment la cuisine. Belle bâtisse avec 3 salles de bain, ce qui est appréciable pour un groupe de 8 personnes. Belle piscine, de taille correcte. Terrain très en pente. Situation relativement bruyante entre deux routes passantes. Environnement sauvage et boisé. Malheureusement pas très proche des grands sites culturels de la Toscane ( 2h de Florence ou de Modène). Réactivité par message mais problèmes d'ampoules par exemple concrètement non résolus pendant le séjour.

Deze villa dat er op de foto’s zo perfect uit ziet is in werkelijkheid een niet onderhouden en slecht schoongemaakt huis. De liggen van het huis is aan de ene kant in het bos en aan de andere kant aan een zeer drukke doorgaande weg. Als je de deur uitstapt zoeven de auto’s voorbij. Op de foto’s is het ruimtelijk met een mooi pad naar het zwembad. Dit is echter volledig dicht gegroeid met allerlei bomen en struiken. De ligstoelen bij het zwembad zijn veelal beschadigd en een ander zitje met stoelen is niet beschikbaar. Bij aankomst was het zwembad niet schoon. De rand echt vies en de bodem lag vol met zand. Niet erg uitnodigend. Rondom het zwembad zitten allemaal haken en spijkers die uitsteken en ronduit gevaarlijk zijn als je met blote voeten rond het zwembad loopt. Je hebt geen enkel mobiel bereik en de WIFI werkte niet. Dus je bent in en om het huis compleet onbereikbaar. Als je het huis betreed komt de muffe lucht je direct tegemoet. Alles wat je aanpakt is stoffig of zit onder de spinnenwebben. Heel onprettig. Veel zaken kapot en lampen die het niet deden. Verder is er een hoop ongedierte door de ligging van het huis. Schorpioenen en slangen zijn blijkbaar heel normaal. Wij waren bij het zwembad en kregen binnen 5 minuten bezoek van een meter lange grote slang. De schrik van ons leven. Al met al een huis wat voor ons Nederlanders niet aan te raden is. Eens, maar NOOIT meer!

Zielloos huis met een wrange nasmaak.

Ruim groot huis in prachtige omgeving. Inrichting is zeer onpersoonlijk en sfeerloos en van matige kwaliteit. Na de eerste nacht hebben we alle lakens verschoont omdat ze nieuw en daardoor zeer hard en synthetisch waren. Deze hadden voor het eerste gebruik gewassen moeten worden. Pas op rond het zwembad zitten gemene haakjes, en als het donker wordt komen de wilde zwijnen erg dichtbij. De wrange bijsmaak komt door de onvriendelijke houding van de eigenaar bij het oplossen van een schade die buiten onze schuld is veroorzaakt. Wij zullen dit huis aan niemand aanbevelen.

Thank you for taking the time to review our villa. We are sorry that you feel it was unfair that you got charged for damage you feel was not your fault, but unfortunately as you broke the key in the lock on returning at midnight and we had to call out an emergency locksmith to change the lock then we feel we were justified. We normally do not charge for small damages, but this cost was not something we could absorb. We have aimed to make the furnishings comfy and homely, and we feel we have achieved this as the photos on the website show, as they also show the location which is advertised as being in a wooded valley surrounded by nature. We are sorry that the problem with the deposit may have soured your opinion leading to you giving us an unfair negative review, but we have had many happy guests over the years, and hope to welcome many more.

Nicht so abgelegen und ruhig wie erhofft.

Der Pool war in Ordnung und wurde regelmäißg gereinigt, die Lage zwischen zwei Straßen ist aufgrund des zeitweise höheren Verkehrslärms ungünstig, die Gestaltung der Außenanlage und ihre Aufenthaltsqualität lässt noch Wünsche offen. Die Inneneinrichtung des Hauses erfüllt ihren Zweck, wirkte auf uns aber lieblos, manche Tagesdecken waren nicht sauber. An mehreren Tagen gab es kein warmes Wasser für Dusche und Abwasch.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. As we discussed with you at the time we are sorry about the hot water problem, but the engineer came out as soon as it was reported to us and resolved the problem as quickly as he could. We were due to fly out before the season started to check that everything was up to standard, but unfortunately due to covid restrictions we could not. It is however something we will do before next year.

Large and charming house, very well equipped

We very much enjoyed staying in this house (family with three children, aged 6-11). - Very well equipped with all those little every-day things that are missing in many other rental houses. - Nice interior, property well kept. - Clean. - Wonderful setting, especially the very private pool area with view to the mountains (it is one level lower than the 'kitchen/living room level' of the house). - The nearby village of Licciana Nardi does not offer much in terms of shopping or eating. Shopping most easy in Aulla (15 min), and the coast and La Spezia is about 40 minutes by car.

Tolle Villa, in toller Lage!

Wir verbrachten 2 sehr schöne Wochen mit 4 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern in diesem schönen Urlaubsdomizil. Wir hatten alle genügend Platz und alles war wie in der Anzeige beschrieben. In der Küche findet man alles was das Herz begehrt, die Bäder sind alle sauber und komfortabel ausgestattete. Ein Highlight ist natürlich der Pool, der von uns intensiv genutzt wurde. Ganz toll fanden wir Marta, die uns viele Tips für einen tollen Urlaub gegeben hat.

Chouette région, chouette maison... Manque pas grand chose pour être top

Chouette région, vue agréable, piscine sympa. Juste deux trois choses pour être parfait..... Le nettoyage de la piscine avant l'arrivée des occupant serait top. Un aménagement de la terrasse pour avoir plus d'ombre.. Et juste dommage pour la rue juste à côté.. Mais chouette maison, spacieuse, bien fraîche et bien équipée, région superbe, accueil bien fait et efficace.

Hier haben wir eine tollen Urlaub verbracht

Wir waren mit 6 Leuten in diesem wunderbaren Haus. Marta hat uns dort herzlich und sehr freundlich empfangen. Vielen Dank dafür. Das Haus liegt malerisch in den Bergen. Es ist gut eingerichtet, die Zimmer und die Flure sind groß und hell, die Badezimmer waren sehr sauber. Der Pool ist ein echtes Highlight. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in dem Haus, alles war perfekt. Der Vermieter war im Vorfeld immer gut zu erreichen. Wir werden ganz sicher wiederkommen.

Quiet and relaxing

A very nice villa, spacious and equipped, in the heart of the mountain. The welcome was warm with Marta who is really available in case of problem. We spent a very nice week between friends.

Mooie Villa in prachtige vallei

Zeer comfortabele villa met 4 slaapkamers en 3 badkamers. De villa is gelegen in een prachtig dal en heeft plaats voor 3 wagens op het terrein. S'avonds op het terras een biertje drinken en een stukje vlees op de BBQ Wij hebben genoten van het zwembad met onze familie,met deze warme temperaturen. Klein probleem met de ketel werd snel opgelost door de eigenaar. Ideale plaats om Cinque Terre te bezoeken. Grtzz, De Belgen

A beautiful house with a most helpful owner

After a rather frustrating delay at the car hire in Genoa airport we were met by the owner’s representative who graciously re-arranged another meeting in order to show us to the house. All the hassle of the car hire was soon forgotten on our arrival at the property, which is set in a beautiful valley with stunning views all around. The house was perfect for our family of six, it was beautifully furnished and perfectly equipped for all our needs. When not seeing the splendid sights that are within easy driving distance of the house we spent most of our time either relaxing by the pool or eating and playing cards on the patio, on one particular evening we were joined by a deer that was feeding just across from the house. The views up and down the valley are stunning and made our stay even more pleasurable. Lovely hilltop villages surround the whole area and stunning scenery can be seen in every direction, a short drive takes you up into the beautiful National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian and in the other direction the town of Aulla is within easy reach and catered for all our supplies. I think what summed it all up for us was on the last day of our stay we contacted the owners rep and asked her if she could recommend a nice restaurant for our last night, not only did she recommend one but she booked it and contacted them with a request that they spoil us which they certainly did. All in all it was a fantastic holiday in a beautiful house in lovely part of the world, thank you.

A charming, authentic villa with private pool set in beautiful Tuscan scenery!

We were a group of three couples aged mid twenties.... Seeking a relaxing, enjoyable holiday. The villa was perfect - very spacious and catered to all our needs. Very accommodating. There are local supermarkets and restaurants to chose from! The pool was a great feature set on a lovely terrace where we enjoyed many relaxing days. There is lots to do in the local area though we advise car hire prior!!! We will back!
