Bear Rock Chalet hermoso, aislado, refugio de montaña con impresionantes vistas

Aislado en tres acres en la cima de la montaña. Más de 2200 s. F. de espacio habitable. Desde los dos niveles de terrazas envolventes con bañera de hidromasaje y balancines se puede disfrutar de impresionantes vistas a las montañas de largo alcance desde más de 3600 pies. Pared de dos pisos de ventanas en el nivel principal para disfrutar aún más de las vistas. Bellamente decorada con muebles de madera maciza hechos a mano principalmente del área local. Hermosos pisos de madera noble recientemente renovados en el nivel principal y laminado nuevo (que parece madera dura) en el sótano. Chimenea de leña de piedra a medida. Una habitación y un baño en cada uno de los tres niveles. Cocina y sala de estar en el sótano, lo que hace que el nivel inferior sea casi como un hogar separado. (Ideal para dos familias que viajan juntas o cuando se necesita / desea privacidad). Mesa de billar. Máquina de videojuegos independiente con 60 juegos clásicos. Dos grandes televisores de pantalla plana con antena parabólica. Mesa de picnic, hoguera, hamaca y parrilla de carbón. El lago Nantahala está al final de la carretera (aproximadamente a 3/4 de milla del chalet) y estamos a solo cinco minutos. del puerto deportivo donde puedes alquilar botes y kayaks y comer en el restaurante. (El puerto deportivo y el restaurante son de temporada). Cerca de rafting en aguas bravas en el mundialmente famoso río Nantahala. Aprox. 45 minutos a Murphy y aprox. 45 minutos a Franklin El sendero Bartram es menos de cinco minutos. de distancia y ofrece hermosos paisajes con excelentes caminatas. Paseos a caballo cerca. Realmente una escapada relajante y memorable. Mucho que hacer cerca, o mucho para mantenerte ocupado si no quieres salir de la propiedad. Debido a nuestra ubicación remota, no recibimos señal de celular en el chalet. (Lo hacemos en la estación de servicio y en el puerto deportivo aproximadamente a 5 minutos). Tenemos un teléfono fijo con larga distancia gratuita en los EE. UU. Continentales y un contestador automático. No es necesario tener un vehículo con tracción en las cuatro ruedas. Absolutamente prohibido fumar dentro del chalet, por favor.

John was a great communicator and helpful! We loved it all- the game room, hot tub, rope swing, kitchen (was there over Thanksgiving), ample beds and bathrooms and towels. To note- be SURE for driving, to take Rhododendron. Host directions said that but I didn’t download prior so trusted GPS. Don’t. Also- phone will go on SOS for about 30 min prior to arrival (coming from Franklin) so be sure to save lock box code and accurate directions. We loved it and enjoyed for our family of 6 over Thanksgiving! Boys ages 12,15,17,19!

Everything about Bear Rock Chalet was excellent! Access to the property, kitchen facilities, Wi-Fi and all amenities were great! The view from the wall of windows and the deck were extraordinary! Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting this area. Be sure to rent a boat at the Lakes End Marina. We had an afternoon on the lake and it was perfect!

Wonderful weekend stay

John and Melissa's NC chalet was well appointed, clean and charming. Our stay was a relaxing mini vacation and our hosts thought of everything right down to a welcome gift and bath soaps (shower cap too). Great communication with both John and Melissa and a beautiful family reunion for us.

Family Vacation

The house had everything we needed and then some.

The property was very peaceful and there was plenty to do both inside and out. The rope swing was to die for. Comfortable beds and everything we need for cooking. Would definitely recommend and come again!

Lovely mountain retreat!

We had a great time visiting family in the Nantahala Lake area. Lots of awesome scenery, water activities and hiking to keep us busy. Our spacious cabin was very clean and nicely decorated, the owners were pleasant and helpful, and the views were to die for! We had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation. Can't wait to go again next year!

Tranquil Mountain Getaway

Our family of 5 stayed here for a long weekend with extended family who stayed on Lake Nantahala. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed for a relaxing stay. It IS up a very narrow, at times steep road but the view and quiet are so worth it. The wifi is not strong enough for doing telework, but for a vacation it is adequate. Highly recommend for groups. The main bedroom is a loft but has a gorgeous view out of the wall of windows in the living room.

Amazing views, excellent amenities!

Our weekend at Bear Chalet was the perfect getaway for our family. The house was very clean. The Mountain views were amazing! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. We loved exploring the area around the house, including the rope swing! Communication was excellent with the owner. If we decide to venture back to the Topton area, we will definitely stay at Bear Chalet again. Thanks John!

Beautiful and relaxing

This is our second time at this property, as we love it.. beautiful Mountain View, beautiful cabin, my kids LOVED the tire swing and acrcade/pool table and the adults enjoyed the hot tub! There is so much room in the cabin to spread out, great for multiple families! Just a few minute drive to a great cafe and boating activities on the water!! Host was great and got back to you quick! Thanks John.

Perfect property for a perfect getaway

Stayed at this property for a long weekend getaway with friends. The property was more than spacious enough to accommodate all of us. John was always available with a quick phone call to answer any questions we may have had. The cabin is perfectly located for day trips to Asheville and the Smoky Mountains, but still secluded enough for some well needed R&R. The lake itself is amazing. If you want to hit the lake for an afternoon of boating or kayaking, the Lake End marina down the street was awesome and staffed by some of the friendliest people I've ever met. Would definitely stay again

A very charming and comfortable mountain home. Ideal for families and a true get away.

Very clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed to be comfortable and to enjoy some quiet time in the mountains. Kids loves the swing, pool table, arcade and board games. Parents loved the deck, the hot tub and the view of the mountains. Directions are accurate just need to follow them and not rely on GPS. Lots do do in the area including boating on the lake, whitewater rafting and a nearby trout farm! I highy recommend this place and appreciate Johns prompt attention through the process.

Immaculate Property with fabulous views!

This property was by far the cleanest and most comfortable property that we have stayed in. The ride up to the cabin from the main road was a bit scary but we managed it fine. If there was snow it may have been more difficult. John was a great host and answered all of my questions quickly. Loved the house! It was very well stocked with anything that we could have needed. The property was beautiful and the kids enjoyed the game room and the swing outside! Thank you!

Wonderful NC cabin

This cabin was fabulous...from the view to the cleanliness and the entertainment it provided. It was dark when we arrived, so we were surprised/delighted when we woke up the next morning and saw the view. It was perfect for my children ages 8 & 19- we spent many hours playing pool and old school video games. The kitchen had plenty of pots/pans and other items any cook would need. Can't wait to go back again soon. BTW...our favorite was the rope swing by the cabin- not sure if it belonged to this cabin or not but we had a blast.

We had been vacationing in the Nantahala area for years and decided we wanted our own retreat for our family there.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We don't think you will find more incredible and beautiful long-range mountain views anywhere in the area. Sitting in our rockers or soaking in our hot tub while taking in those views in the quiet and peaceful surroundings is simply a little taste of heaven.
