Great house, perfect location.

My family with young adults stayed at this house. Very nice location and accommodations. Great communication with the owner. We would definitely come back!

Favorite Staycation yet. Property is quiet and clean. Great part of the lake. Property owner was awesome to work with. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Tiny Gem

The house very small, but very nice! The proximity to the water and views of Lake Austin were great. However, there are a ton of steps going to the lake and boat house. It’s pretty dangerous as they are not well lit and have no railings so it’s very tricky if mobility is an issue at all. Also, there is no cell service at all.

Fabulous Lakefront Home

Our family had a wonderful time on Lake Austin, largely due to this beautiful, extremely clean, fully loaded home. The owner and manager were extremely easy to work with and provided excellent communication. All cleaning products, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, shampoo etc were provided- which makes traveling much easier! 4 beautiful stand up paddle boards were down by the dock ready for us to use. The view is incredible. There are many areas (porches, dock, sun deck, side yard) with grills, fire pits, chairs, couches, and tables to hang out, entertain, play games etc. Grocery stores and restaurants are very close and yet it feels like you are away from the hustle and bustle - very relaxing. I highly recommend this home if you are looking for a spot on Lake Austin.

Amazing house and views

What a gorgeous house! We have stayed in many houses in many different cities, and I don’t think any can beat the incredible view from this house. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished. It was perfect for a small dinner party outside with friends (even the private chef noted how incredible the kitchen is) and for a weekend with our kids. We had an awesome time jumping into the water and floating on the giant swim mat. Inside the house, the kids enjoyed the bunk beds and TVs in each room. The street is perfectly quiet, with easy access into Lakeway for groceries and restaurants. We loved this house and hope to stay again!

Great location

A great stay and perfect location. The place was clean and plenty of room for our group of 4. Would agree with a previous review in terms of minor upkeep being required (fridge was full of opened and expired condiments, etc)The AC stopped working for one day. The owner was responsive and had it repaired the next day, but the 2 spare bedrooms never did get cool. Made for a hot sleep, but on the bright side, being water front allowed for a cool dip! Overall we had a great time and would stay again

Amazing Retreat

We loved our stay at this home. The setting is serene, beautiful, and exactly what we needed for an 'escape' from Houston. The house itself is well equipped with an amazing kitchen, stand up paddle boards for the lake, and wonderful linens. The only thing we wished for was a manual showing how to use the electronics. We'd love to book this home again in the future.

Needs attention

We had a great time and the house and location were great. I thought the property needed more attention to detail to make this a luxury listing. Landscaping is overgrown and unattended. Lightbulbs out , no instructions on how to use A/V (and it did not work correctly). More kitchen items for cooking/grilling would be nice. A/C in one of the bedrooms (not master) did not cool the room,. Again, we had a great time, it just needs some attention.

Excellent, exceeded our expectations!

Wonderful getaway for family time. The home was magnificent. With lots of functional outdoor space. The boathouse with kitchen and fire pit was fun for all. Loved the lake and paddleboards.

Waterfront Retreat

Horseshoe Bend Estates is a well maintained home with a great view of Lake Austin. This property is in a quiet neighborhood with very little traffic, I went for an early morning jog and said hi to the neighbors and saw some deer and other wildlife. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived we found all the amenities/appliances (BBQ Grill, TV, Coffee Machine, Dishwasher, etc.) to be in good working order and simple to use. If you have a small group looking for a lake get away I'd strongly consider this property.

Lake House Getaway

This property has it all. Perfect location on the lake, beautifully furnished, and my kids would be happy living on that gorgeous boat dock. We had a great Labor Day weekend together thanks to this property. Our kids jumped off the boat dock too many times to count. We all enjoyed the lily pad and stand up paddle boards, and I enjoyed the gourmet kitchen and cooked all of our meals at the house. Beautiful spot on the lake, easy to book, great communication with property management - we’ll be back for sure and highly recommend this property.

PARADISE IN HORSESHOE BEND

This property is right on the river/lake with a beautiful view from the patio and even better view from the boat house.The amenities were more than any other property I've been at.When it says fully stocked kitchen it means it.The wi-fi was strong and there was cable with all the movie channels in every room and the boat house.We brought our 24'ft. boat and they have an automated boat lift so you can ride the lake and go to the restaurants on the water and then pull back up in the boat house and with a click of the remote control you raise the boat out and step out without ever getting wet....very nice.The neighbors were very friendly and the management was friendly and did an outstanding job of keeping in contact to see if you had everything you needed.They even sent over or had delivered a cookie care package from a local bakery and they were delicious.We would definitely like a return visit at this home if we are to bring our boat back down to Austin.

Beautiful Tuscan Villa

The house was everything we hoped it would be. The floor plan was ideal for the small wedding reception that we had planned. The outdoor kitchen an porch were a great gathering place as well. We will definitely be making a return trip.

Gorgeous home, with breathtaking yard on the river and brand new boat house for a great time.

What a wonderful time we had staying at this home. 6 of us stayed here comfortably. The house itself has a beautiful master suite and very charming, roomy yet cozy living room and state of the art kitchen. The house also had Sonos sound system through the house and outdoor patios! The highlight however was the brand new boat house right on the river. It had a full kitchen with refrigerator. It also had comfortable couches with a fire pit! It was so really fun spending time down there during the day and especially at night after dinner with the cozy fire. Truly a breathtaking home, will highly recommend and plan to return in the future! Check in and check out was super easy and the owner Maryanne was a pleasure to communicate with.

Amazing, relaxing, well appointed vacation house!

The house is absolutely incredible. Maryanne has great attention to detail and it shows. The house has a well-appointed kitchen, a fantastic porch overlooking the lake, a fantastic stove and a really nice bbq setup just a few paces from the kitchen. We really enjoyed the built-in Sonos sound system that can play music in every room and in a few of the nice outdoor spaces. The boathouse is a really comfortable place to relax by the water and enjoy lake Austin. All-in-all a great stay. We'll be back for sure.

Stunning Property

We had a wonderful family vacation at this home! The property and view to the lake were simply stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed the paddle boards since our boat was under repair and we weren't able to bring it. The kitchen is stocked with top of the line appliances and was a delight to cook in. The owner and property manager were very helpful and quick to reply with any questions we had. We would love to stay here again!

Perfect House!

Summary: Had a group of 8 adults and everyone loved the house and property. Look forward to coming back soon! Location: Easy drive to downtown (30-40 minutes) and airport. Also very close to grocery stores Dock: Dock wasn't 100% complete but that didn't stop us from loving it. It was perfect for jumping into the lake, paddle boarding, and we even had a boat pick us up from it. It will be amazing once complete Owner: Maryanne was great and very accommodating

Had a great time at this home. Beautiful house on Lake Austin. The home was clean when we arrived, the sound system worked great, and the dock was finished-enough for us to use the boat lift. The paddleboards were a great perk, in addition to the amazing patio and lawn furniture. Great kitchen...enough pots and pans to feed an army. Heads up, the house is on the northern end of Lake Austin, which has significantly colder water (~8-10 degrees colder than the southern half of the lake). This is both bad and good. Bad cus it's cold...but great because there's fewer boat traffic and a lot of glass for skiers like us. Overall, the hosts were accommodating and great. Considering going to this home again this summer.

Beautiful property but needs attention!

I leased this property in May of 2016 for a three day weekend stay for the year 2017. The owner met me and my husband at the property. She said she or someone else would be there to show us around the property when we arrived in May of 2017. That did not happen. No one contacted me and there was no information on the HAH site. There was a property manager named on the site whom I called two times to get information. She told me the boat dock was under construction and the paddle boards, wet suits, etc. were in the garage. She promised to bring the paddle boards down to the dock which she didn't do. There were no chairs at the dock; we brought those down from the garage ourselves. There were workmen there Thursday afternoon and Friday morning thus the boat dock area could not be used during their presence. The sound system didn't work, the light in the master closet was burned out, upon heating the oven, we detected a strange odor only to find a garden kneeling pad stored in the oven. Fan in master out of balance which caused an irritating noise throughout the night. Poor maintenance on the interior doors caused fitful sleeping due to noisy hinges. Complete lack of instructions on the operating of anything on the property , including waste disposal. After my first call, I was informed, 3 days prior to our stay, that the boat dock was actively under construction and workmen would be present which limited the use of the boat dock area. The house and property are beautiful and when the boat dock is finished, it will be an amazing property to spend time at. Our time would have been more enjoyable if the property was in the condition as presented to us by the gracious owner when we toured it in May of 2016. The property manager failed to maintain the property, didn't do things as promised, provided no instructions and was not present at any time during our stay. I contacted her via text and received responses, however no action. Our group consisted of all women celebrating a 50 year old birthday. This property could have received a 5 star rating if the property manager had performed her duties.

Marianne's Casa Lago

This is a beautiful property right on the Lake in Lakeway. About a 30 minute drive from downtown Austin. House is beautifully attired and has every appliance you could think of using if you are a cook. Very quiet. Very picturesque. This is our second stay at Casa Lago. Look forward to coming back again!

It is one of my favorite spaces to retreat to for family or friend gatherings. We've celebrated graduations, holidays and laughter. This house has never seen a sad day. After multiple requests to occupy this home, I've decided that it's time to share it's magical ambiance.
