Con un amplio muelle y deslizamiento de barco, 2 SUPs + accesorios necesarios, 4 kayaks + accesorios necesarios, 6 bicicletas + cascos y una espaciosa playa de arena, el lago Samish está justo más allá de la puerta principal.

El lago incluye un curso de esquí de slalom, pesca y una increíble variedad de vida salvaje que incluye águilas pescadoras y águilas calvas que vuelan por encima. Las temperaturas del agua en el verano alcanzan los 60 grados para obtener inmersiones frescas y refrescantes.

The best part of the property is the expansive lake view through the large windows in the main living/dining and kitchen areas so even on cloudy rainy days it’s nice to look out. The outdoor space is very nice especially the new dock and great fire pit area. We can picture lawn games, kids on the swings, and maybe volleyball even. It would be perfect for lots of fun water activities and outdoor enjoyment for families but for our spring break we just enjoyed games, movies, puzzles and lots of meals with our group while enjoying the view. There is only 1 main bathroom but it’s roomy. Fortunately there’s a half bath in the primary bedroom on the main floor; the rest of the bedrooms are upstairs. The cozy kitchen is well equipped and had tons of natural light. The home gives us a ‘grandma’s house’ vibe. The owner was quick to respond and seemed very nice and friendly. Thank you for sharing your home.

Booking this location a second time was the best choice we made for our trip! The entire family felt like we walked into an oasis of calm. Every need was provided for because the home is well stocked from towels to games, to bikes and amenities. The location is gorgeous and the weather was beautiful and classic Northwest in the Fall. Just what we wanted. If you want to relax and not worry about a thing, this is the place for you. Beds are so comfortable, kitchen is well stocked with dishes and appliances, neighborhood is quiet and even a laundry! I can't tell you enough how much we love this location. Our second stay here was as great as the first. If in doubt, stay here!!!

Seven Cedars was exactly what we were looking for, a quiet piece of heaven. My family was comfortable in our rooms and living space and enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks on the lake. The kitchen was well equipped for a family dinner. The hosts were very helpful and easily accessible, while the groundskeeper was sure to help us remain comfortable.

Beautiful location and lovely home

We found everything we needed at this gorgeous spot on Lake Samish. It was the perfect location for my mom's 70th birthday. The house is very kid friendly with kayaks, life jackets, games and books. We spent everyday out on the lake and every night by the fire. I would definitely recommend this house to others in the future!

This was the first time we have stayed on Lake Samish and this property was easy to get to, had plenty of space and lots of things to do. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely lakeside location

Enjoyed our stay at the house; we had a long weekend workshop that went late each day, so we were only able to partially take in the lovely location and house; it would be nice to return for pure leisure and enjoy just being on the lake.

Great Bellingham Stay

Getaway for my Mom with my brothers, and this was the perfect home base for our weekend in Bellingham. Close to town, but perfectly relaxing. House had it all! Only 10mins from Downtown Bellingham where we enjoyed the WWU Campus, farmers market, shopping, and restaurants. Will definitely book here for our next trip to the area.

Such a beautiful view

Everything about our stay was amazing. The view from the property was beautiful especially at sunset. Ours kids had the best time and got to kayak and stand up paddle board for the first time. We will definitely be booking this property again in the future.

Weekend send off

We wanted a relaxing place to stay close to Bellingham as our oldest son was starting his first year at Western. It was so fun to be able to have the lake, kayaks, SUP and the fire pit! We all loved it!

Perfect for our family!

We were in Washington for a wedding at it was the perfect place for our family to all stay together. We were able to relax and had a wonderful time around the fire pit one evening! The view from the house was amazing! In all it was an amazing experience!

First Family Vacation

This was our first family vacation with our kids and their spouses along with 3 grandkids and grand dog Bruno. Everyone enjoyed it so much that it will most likely be an annual event. The lake house was perfect for a short getaway and the weather was perfect too.

We loved 7 Cedars lake house. Great location, had all the amenities we could hope for. Great deck to dine, read, visit and watch the beautiful lake. Plenty of kayaks, paddle boards for our party of 5. Loved the dock, fire pit, and the bunnies running around the garden. Truly a fabulous vacation for our family.

Lovely place

We had a wonderful time. It was fall and pretty cold so we didn’t get to use all the amenities (SUPs , bikes & kayaks) but our dogs loved the big yard, the dock diving and morning swims. The house was really well supplied and super clean. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The property was purchased in the early 60's by Palmer and Myrtle Bruland as a summer getaway for themselves and their 5 children. The house was finished in 1966. In 2015 it was converted to a year-round Vrbo with holidays and other dates reserved for the extended family. Over the decades we all have fond memories of play and laughter and expect to see the tradition continue through the coming generations.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Peace and tranquility describes what I find most appealing about the setting. Looking out over the shimmering lake simply can't be beat. There is a vast array of birds including resident bald eagles and cranes as well a beaver or two just down Friday Creek. A silky quiet kayak ride down the creek or bike round around the lake are special events we do most every time up in early summer. Taking the SUPs for an evening paddle is a favorite among all.

We offer amenities for all ages both for both inside and outside: games, cards, toys, train sets, cars, books, puzzles, dolls, horseshoes, beach toys, and the lawn game Kuub.

Because the house is owner maintained and not by an institutional service, the property feels more like a real lived in home because it is. We like sharp knives, a variety of seasoning, and decent pots and pans, just like you do.

We allow pets once vetted with a limit 2, which add to the convenience of bringing your fur babies on your travels. Additional charges apply for pets.
